What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is the definitive solution for teamwork, it is an excellent tool for organized and timely workflow. With this platform you do not miss any due date, and it allows tasks to be carried out calmly and fluently. What I liked most is the independence of tasks for each member of the group. The sharing of files and documents within the platform saves a lot of time.

The user interface is very friendly and helps people to not be guessing where the important options are, besides, everything is web based, so it is not an annoying program that takes up too much space on your hard drive.

The ability to integrate with other useful programs should be the most special feature of Asana, and the possibility of integrating programs such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Adobe Creative Suite, or Litmus, allow greater versatility in file management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

For greater use of members on this platform, it is necessary to update your service plan, and that costs money. For each additional seat it's value is getting bigger and bigger. For a few users the price is a bit unfair. It is the only thing I can find disadvantageous using this product. It is the only thing I can find disadvantageous using this product. Recommendations to others considering Asana:

This program adapts very well to the needs of the group, making it easy to share files without having to use the company's email. All together we work better by assigning ourselves tasks and sub tasks and setting the time to do them. Things get more relaxed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my sales group we work with a tight schedule and it is important to make sales on a stipulated date, so it was necessary to implement a project management software that would help us solve our troubles, and since we use Asana, we have a better workflow, we better schedule our projects, and We have a better time management for each task of each team member, and our sales are saved by the summit date. What do you like best about Asana?

Sounds simple, but the built-in light/dark mode is a big feature. It's straight-forward to use as an Administrator once your permissions are set up correctly.

The UI is very neat and there's lots of options for folders and sub-folders for tasks. For example you can have a main overarching Portfolio (Marketing) then projects in that portfolio (Design work) and then tasks in each Project for neat organisation. You can associate work to teams or to people or entire projects to teams or people. You can also create tasks on behalf of someone and message in-app as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

It wasn't obvious that permissions needed to be set up specifically prior to having people use it out-of-the-box. Because if you don't, there's literally zero way to delete or edit a project that was created by someone else, even if you're the admin who PAYS the very high subscription price of Asana. I've had to have multiple meetings with different employees to run them through manually giving me Project Admin of their Projects, JUST so I could delete the project or rename it. I can only imagine how much of a pain in the butt this would have been if I had 10x the amount of employees and hadn't noticed this earlier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Lots of features and flexibility on how to set it up for our needs.

Multi homing is a great feature because that reflects reality - many a times, a project is part of many portfolios and a task/milestone is part of many projects.

Goals section and the Strategy map to connect goals and portfolios/projects is Fantastic.

Mostly intuitive.

Once we have learnt it, it is very easy to use.

I am impressed with overall speed and sync speed too. What my colleague updates, I can see it near instantly - this is Awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

There is a learning curve. I know that Asana provides onboarding help and training help. So, ideally this should mitigate the issue of the learning curve.

Reporting specific to certain tasks/milestones/section is missing as a feature. Meaning, reporting tells how many tasks got completed or had a certain value, but if I want to report specifically on the values of certain tasks against other tasks then such a feature isn't there. What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have Jira for our Agile Project Management. But we are using Asana for Executive Leadership level tracking and reporting of all projects and intitiatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana has completely transformed the way our team manages projects. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to organize tasks, track progress, and collaborate in real time — even across departments. We especially love the customizable workflows, timeline view, and how it integrates with Slack and Google Workspace. It keeps everyone aligned and focused without micromanagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Occasionally, the flexibility of task organization can lead to clutter if team members aren't disciplined in their use of tags and sections. It also takes a bit of onboarding time for new users unfamiliar with project management tools. But once the team adapts, these issues fade away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana helps us centralize our work processes and avoid miscommunication between departments. Thanks to its intuitive task and project management features, we’ve significantly reduced missed deadlines and duplicated efforts. It's especially helpful for remote teams — everyone stays aligned, responsibilities are clear, and progress is easy to track in real-time. This directly improves our team efficiency and project delivery speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

We chose Asana to take our project management to the next level. Our company is growing and now it's not enough to communicate via email or messengers. Now it's important to keep track of projects, see notifications about status changes, and respond quickly to changes.

The main mistake people make is that they don't learn the basic functionality and don't understand how to use features like Inbox, My Tasks, and Rules.

The program is also fast. The developers have thought for us about what we need to work and we don't need a lot of customization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

So far, I haven't found anything I don't like. The whole team needs to master the existing functionality first Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a department that deals with operations in the Arctic - measuring ice thickness. We also provide training to the local community. We have more than 30 communities, and it all turned into a large amount of data with a bunch of separate folders, tables, and numbers. Asana allowed us to structure it into teams and corresponding projects. Now everyone knows where to look for information. No need to ask managers for anything Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

What I like the most about Asana is how easy it is to create, assign, and track tasks. The interface is clean and intuitive, and it really helps me, and my team stay organized. I love being able to break projects down into smaller tasks, set deadlines, and have everything in one place. The integration with tools like Slack and Google Drive is also a big plus, and the board view helps visualize progress at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Sometimes it’s hard to find subtasks, especially when there are many of them nested inside different tasks. It can also be a bit overwhelming to read through all of them when they are compiled together in one view. A better way to manage or filter subtasks would definitely improve the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using it, we often lost track of deadlines or had miscommunication about who was responsible for what. Now, with Asana, every task is assigned, prioritized, and has a clear timeline, which makes our workflows smoother and more efficient. It also helps us track progress during meetings and align quickly without needing endless status updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

It helps in automating many things and the interface is very userfriendly. Like this we safe a lot of time.

Integration and connection to other softwares is very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Paying for another software and managing it, is sometimes not very good. We often ask ourself if it is needed to keep asana or if we could just build these things ourself.

I think for asana it is crucial to either work on features that make it irreplaceable or to work on the connection to other softwares and take over a crucial step which the others can't cover.

Also just more features are often not helpful, since many customers probably don't use many of them - just more features won't help them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

It combines different projects on one map and supports us in assigning tasks.

The problem that it solves is the easy usage and creation of big timetable's. Further it supports us in creating workflows and connecting them to other softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I love how Asana clearly organizes all of the tasks and projects that I am currently working on for my clients and for my personal use. I use it every day, and since it integrates directly with email, tasks can be generated directly from the inbox. Asana is so easy to use, and I have found that if tasks do not make it into Asana, they do not get done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

If it does not already exist, I would like to be able to generate tasks by sending or forwarding a text message similar to how emailing the x email address generates a task. I would also like to see the ability to add an automatic rolling due date to tasks so that tasks left incomplete by the end of the work day automatically roll into the next day if you set the due dats as such. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana keeps track of all tasks and projects that I have running at one time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

The basic features are simple and that's key to getting staff to buy-in to a tool like this. It's easy to understand and creates clarity across team members on what they should be working on. Support is great as there are a number of trainings, live workshops and more you can participate in. We use it daily for all of our non-profit work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

They add new functionality frequently (which is good) but the overall simplicity gets more convoluted once you start taking advantage of more features. I liked Asana when it was pretty barebones because of its simplicity and depending on the technical aptitude of your users, some may struggle. We've also become a little overzealous at times with adding too much into Asana and making it difficult to use but that is our own undoing and no fault of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're a small team with a lot of various initiatives. Asana helps us manage timing, resources, due dates and collaborate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is the most efficient way to delegate and organize work tasks for small businesses. It allows for different types of projects and departments to work and monitor the work that is being done. Asana was also easy to use once we began its use years ago. I like the consistency that using Asana provides regarding discussing projects and goals for management meetings and there has been a considerable improvement in many areas of our company's efficiency due to Asana. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

The downsides of using Asana is the difficulty of relocating and finding certain tasks once they are deleted. It would also be great to have a large range of color palettes to choose from regarding the type of projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is solving problems with work task delegation so the right projects are being worked on with the right people. Asana is solving problems with time management with the timelines set on projects and organizing what to prioritize. Asana is also solving the problem of meeting efficiency with more focused meetings with management. It is benefiting the small business we have in terms of saving time, resources, and projects focused in the right area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is a lifesaver for me! I have so many things going on: my own business (membership site, blog, social

media, YouTube channel). I also help to run a kids football club and am in the midst of home renovations and planning major trips abroad. Asana helps me organise every element of my life so no task (however small) is ever forgotten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I often tell Siri to add a task to asana while in the car. As I can’t assign a date I tend to check recent tasks and forget about it! Can Siri learn to add a date for the task too?

I use the My Tasks > List view every day, but it’s frustrating that the tasks within sections aren’t in chronological order by time of day they need completing. it would be great to sort these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
