"Flexible Content Management, Needs Better Automation"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like that Adobe Experience Manager is fairly accessible and certainly provides the capabilities we are looking at. It also offers the ability to be fairly flexible in the kind of content that we publish. People who work with it have commented that it lets them publish things fairly flexibly and update content readily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

I think the move from one information architecture to another is far too cumbersome and manual. I'm really astonished that Adobe Experience Manager doesn't have a tool that shows your current information architecture in a visual format and lets you easily move things into a new architecture with low human intervention. And I think that's simply not the case today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Asset Management with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like Adobe Experience Manager's ability to share images via links with internal customers and create collections. Providing links to images prevents overloading our servers with downloaded images and gives my customers the ability to choose the best images for their project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

The search capability could use improvement in terms of accuracy and speed. The loading of images is very slow and it would be better if, when you select an image and open it, closing that image would take you back to where you left off in your scrolling instead of taking you all the way back to the top, where you then have to rescroll to get to where you were. "Centralized Content Management with Room for UI Improvement"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like how Adobe Experience Manager brings everything into one cohesive system for managing content at scale. It's easy to use and keeps everything organized, reducing duplication and ensuring consistency. It helps reduce operational friction of moving from tool to tool to find the latest asset and saves time on collaborating without having to recreate assets. It helps us manage high volumes of content by having everything organized and easily accessible, which also aids in repurposing approved content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

It might not be the most intuitive tool to use at times for non-technical users. Performance can be inconsistent at times when loading assets, which could take a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for managing content at scale, but takes time to learn"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

What I find most helpful about Adobe Experience Manager is its ability to manage large volumes of content from one centralized platform. It’s highly scalable, supports complex workflows, and makes it easier for teams to reuse and personalize content across multiple channels. The integration with other Adobe tools also adds a lot of value, making it a powerful option for enterprise-level digital experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

It can be time-consuming to set up and maintain, and it also requires specialized developers or support. For smaller teams, it could feel heavy and intensive for their needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Content Management with Adobe Integration"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I use Adobe Experience Manager for authoring, managing, and publishing content for the website. I find it really effective in solving content findability and structure issues. What I like most about it is the ease of use. The integration with other Adobe products like Assets and Workfront also stands out to me. Having an integrated ecosystem makes sharing content easier and reduces rework or duplication. I also found the initial setup to be very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

I feel like Adobe Experience Manager could use more AI-based help when authoring content. Integrating agents within AEM to handle tasks like tagging content, auditing the repository, and migrating content would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloud-Based Platform with Implementation Challenges"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like that Adobe Experience Manager is hosted on cloud software, which means it's not exposed to the issues we faced while using on-premise solutions. It also works well out of the box with a lot of support available online, which I find really helpful. I appreciate the higher availability it offers compared to on-premise platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

Implementation was hard, and we were lead astray with technical implementation that is costing us money to fix. We ended up using foundation instead of core components, and communication regarding the differences was not clear. The initial setup took over a year, and we made mistakes such as not using out of the box more, and using foundation components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Multi-Channel Content Management with Smooth Adobe Integrations"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like how easy it is to manage content across different channels from one place. The interface is quite user-friendly, so creating and updating content doesn’t feel overly complicated. The asset management features are also really helpful for keeping everything organized and making assets easy to find and reuse. On top of that, the integration with other Adobe tools helps the overall workflow feel smoother and more connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

It can feel complex and a little overwhelming at times, especially for new users. Some tasks require more steps than I’d expect, so there’s definitely a learning curve. It can also be slow on occasion, and customization or initial setup often takes technical expertise, which isn’t always convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Multisite Management, But Clunky Authoring UI"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like Adobe Experience Manager's ability to function as a headless CMS and integrate with custom components. This allows our engineers to build more complex components using frameworks we're comfortable with, while still giving authors a WYSIWYG-like authoring experience. I also appreciate the easy integration with Adobe Target, which simplifies setting up A/B tests that align with our brand guidelines by enabling easy export of AEM components and experience fragments to Target. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

The authoring UI can feel a little clunky, and it can take a lot of clicks to accomplish what seem like common, simple authoring tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Website Management, Robust Cloud Integration"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

I like how Adobe Experience Manager allows us to create templates and components that the authoring team can easily manage to create and manage pages. I appreciate the cloud instance, especially the way CI/CD is integrated, as it takes a lot of infrastructure headache out of the queue. We can work on development, staging, and QA instances, attach code repositories, and easily handle production builds while performing end-to-end testing to ensure that the code is safe and secure. The initial setup was pretty smooth, particularly with the cloud setup. I rate it a 10 and definitely love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Enterprise CMS with a Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Adobe Experience Manager?

Adobe Experience Manager is a robust and highly scalable content management system that excels in enterprise environments. Its ability to manage large volumes of content across multiple sites, brands, and channels is a major strength. The integration with other Adobe products, such as Analytics and Target, allows for a more data driven and personalized digital experience. Once implemented correctly, it provides strong governance, security, and consistency across digital properties, which is especially valuable for organizations with complex needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Experience Manager?

The biggest drawback is its complexity. AEM has a steep learning curve and often requires significant technical expertise to use effectively. Simple content updates or structural changes can feel overly complicated without developer support. Implementation and maintenance can also be costly, and troubleshooting issues is not always intuitive, which can slow down day to day workflows for non technical users.
