AEM is excellent for content management. Our organization had been using it for the better part of three years and we had no issues, and it's a substantial upgrade from our previous CMS. It's very easy to add new images and forms to new/existing pages, which was our biggest hurdle with our old system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There aren't many downsides with AEM. It is definitely geared toward enterprize organizations and I wouldn't recommend it unless you already have a number of other Adobe products you're working with. We haven't run into any major issues since implementing it - other than the occasional delay/error with image upload, but that's to be expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Experience Manager is a great multifunctional CMS, where you can easily manage your assets and pages in a simple way.
Every day, I spend more time creating new assets, experience fragments, pages and updating their content insead of navigating in the tool.
I couldn't believe how easy it's to reuse experience fragments across multiple pages and customize them when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the learning curve is the biggest challenge. When you start learning, there isn't enough information available online, but it's so easy to understand AEM that you can overcome the learning curve quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Adobe Experience Manager, both for our content management system for our website and also for emails using Campaign. AEM Is a vital tool in managing our web content. It provides the ability to create templates and structured components to build a unified design, branding, and consistent placement of navigation throughout sites and across the university, but also allows the flexibility to personalize and customize pages. Recently, we were able to use an HTML component to drop in just enough JavaScript to automate a sorting of cards for a feature on our site while still keeping the template and branding of the system in place. We use Campaign to send email to our faculty and workshop participants. The analytics we can see in Campaign’s reports help us determine message delivery and gives us insights on how to improve our messaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the problems that we particularly have and would love to see a lot of improvements with is the we use cloud manager for deployments. Specifically with the managed services, we have a lot of issues with the fact that it is one pipe and one pipeline. So if we do a deployment, we have one thing at a time and you have to wait for one batch and one deployment to go through. So typically if you push one thing through the stage, you have to wait and then it goes to prime, and then if you have another batch that you need to send up, you usually typically have about an hour or four hours wait while everybody's doing validation and then it has to go to production. So we need to find a way to either have multi pipes or multi-stage ability to be able to get more things staged or ready to go or be able to have a better deployment mechanism to get things into production because that wait time and that it's just the cycle is just hard. Its strength lies in creating and personalizing all experiences within the application, so all members of the business can work together on separate application categories depending on their roles.
It helps in decreasing time moving items, information, storage, and making educated decisions from data, without moving back and forth between applications while also integrating all useful external third-party applications that work best for the business all in one location.
In full, a user can access either or all information analytics, images, information design or data, user registrations and restrictions, content management, alongside other tools and settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Meeting points with external applications will be based on the preference of the project owner; so if an employee can work better using a different application, this may become an issue unless the employee is well-skilled.
It may be better suited for entrepreneurs who find themselves scaling on to their success already with a consistent following of consumers who come back regularly, without the need to use the software developer options or analytics, so it can be better used for content consistency across their websites, social media channels, and mobile applications instead. I believe the best thing about Adobe Experience manager is that it can help deliver the right content to users when and where they need it. It had also helped me improve the search rankings, overall traffic and the conversion on my profile.
Absolutely love the product and would like to keep using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I have faced problems like slow loading times, complex setup and learning curve. The license cost is a bit expensive and would really appreciate if the cost could be reduced. I have also faced publishing errors due to incorrect content references and have had a difficulty managing asset libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the design and how conveniently all the buttons are located. It's super important to me and it makes it very easy to implement this app into my work routine. I really struggle with bad design in other similar products. I'm not sure about AEM customer support since I don' really use it, but in general Adobe's customer support is good. I wish there were more templates. I don't know what exactly I'm expecting, I just want more templates. The frequency of use would increase if it had templates for all possible scenarios, since it will be easy and quick to integrate all the necessary stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a web producer, i love that way AEM allows me to deliver web content. The ease at which we can create content & rollout globally, localize and translate is amazing. What could have taken weeks or months, now takes only few days. The whole Adobe marketing suite is a testament to why Adobe is one of the leaders in this space Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You would need get component updates, when design changes and when that happens components become complex and after a point it will be become hard to manage the component repository. If you have the best engineering team, they often know how not to over engineer and may help you from this downside. If not managed well, then if becomes complex Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been working on AEM for the past 10+ years. I have seen it transisition from CQ 5.6 to now 6.5.17 and grow step by step from Classic UI to Touch UI.
I love the way Adobe evolved this product & seemlessly integrated other Adobe products like Target, Analytics, Search, Translations, AEM Guides, content fragments, commerce, magento, marketo etc.
Adobe Experience Manager is the best CMS out there & no other CMS comes close to it as a Complete product.
The flexibility AEM offers makes it standout. It is definitely the most powerful tool for building Marketing websites Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adobe is best at selling products, but everytime they introduce a new version, it takes a lot of time for them to stabilize it. They make it stable, but takes time. So we always wait for a couple of new versions to come by & then upgrade.
Also, Adobe is now pushing orgs to move to Adobe Managed Cloud, instead of onPrem, which is not great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my opinion, I’d recommend Adobe Experience Manager to anyone looking for a powerful and customizable content management system. I feel that It’s easy to use, scalable, and works well for marketing and development teams. For example based on my own experience, I would say it’s great for managing large websites with multiple regional versions, allowing teams to collaborate seamlessly while maintaining brand consistency across different markets. I feel that Adobe Experience Manager can be tricky to learn at first, especially if you’re new to it like I was a couple of years ago. But overtime with some training, it becomes a really useful tool for handling complex content projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

it combines powerful content management with easy personalization. The intuitive interface streamlines content creation and delivery, while its flexibility allows for customization to fit specific business needs. Plus, the seamless integration with other tools makes it an invaluable asset for managing consistent, high-quality digital experiences across channels. The customer support I received at my prior job was amazing, and implementation was so easy. I used this program daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
