I like AEM for many reasons:
1. Custom templates: If you have a developer on your team, you can create a new corporate template to make landing page development easier.
2. You don't need to be a developer: You can work with templates or start from scratch, but it's not a problem because AEM has an easy-to-use interface without any programming knowledge.
3. Connection with other platforms: The customer journey is the most important aspect for your business, so there are many platforms that offer excellent features compatible with AEM. (Marketo, Vimeo, CRM, etc)
4.Resource Library: I love that is possible to upload different types of files (Images, videos, .PDF). There are no limits
5. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: You can work at AEM any day and time, all you need is a computer and internet access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like AEM only for two reasons:
1.- Nowadays video quality matters a lot. AEM has a limit file size in video upload.
2.- They have not integrated an AI: In fact, there are many AI focused on improving processes or activities. I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider it as an assistant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tool really make a difference in how we work. It permit us to gain time and be much more productive. We enlarge our capability, leveraging the capacity on building Champaign. In the past, we take 8 days to make an e-mail. and now we do it in just 2 days Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The documentation, capacity on teaching the personal and make it a case of day by day is not good. Adobe must invest energy on modules to capacitate the team. A tool that nobody can operate is a useless tool. We are investing too much energy in doing something that Adobe must helped Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adobe Experience Manager provided me with extraordinary capabilities for building powerful ecommerce websites coupled with Adobe commerce platform. AEM's seamless content management allowed us to create dynamic and personalized shopping experiences for our diverse customer base. Development efforts were reduced in half with the help of Experience fragments and Content fragments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost associated with the initial implementation of AEM is quite high compared to other CMS in the market making it less optimal for the small/medium businesses to adopt. Additionally, the configuration of GraphQL queries for dynamic content delivery could get a bit complex for first time users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AEM is excellent for content management. Our organization had been using it for the better part of three years and we had no issues, and it's a substantial upgrade from our previous CMS. It's very easy to add new images and forms to new/existing pages, which was our biggest hurdle with our old system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There aren't many downsides with AEM. It is definitely geared toward enterprize organizations and I wouldn't recommend it unless you already have a number of other Adobe products you're working with. We haven't run into any major issues since implementing it - other than the occasional delay/error with image upload, but that's to be expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Experience Manager is a great multifunctional CMS, where you can easily manage your assets and pages in a simple way.
Every day, I spend more time creating new assets, experience fragments, pages and updating their content insead of navigating in the tool.
I couldn't believe how easy it's to reuse experience fragments across multiple pages and customize them when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the learning curve is the biggest challenge. When you start learning, there isn't enough information available online, but it's so easy to understand AEM that you can overcome the learning curve quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Adobe Experience Manager, both for our content management system for our website and also for emails using Campaign. AEM Is a vital tool in managing our web content. It provides the ability to create templates and structured components to build a unified design, branding, and consistent placement of navigation throughout sites and across the university, but also allows the flexibility to personalize and customize pages. Recently, we were able to use an HTML component to drop in just enough JavaScript to automate a sorting of cards for a feature on our site while still keeping the template and branding of the system in place. We use Campaign to send email to our faculty and workshop participants. The analytics we can see in Campaign’s reports help us determine message delivery and gives us insights on how to improve our messaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the problems that we particularly have and would love to see a lot of improvements with is the we use cloud manager for deployments. Specifically with the managed services, we have a lot of issues with the fact that it is one pipe and one pipeline. So if we do a deployment, we have one thing at a time and you have to wait for one batch and one deployment to go through. So typically if you push one thing through the stage, you have to wait and then it goes to prime, and then if you have another batch that you need to send up, you usually typically have about an hour or four hours wait while everybody's doing validation and then it has to go to production. So we need to find a way to either have multi pipes or multi-stage ability to be able to get more things staged or ready to go or be able to have a better deployment mechanism to get things into production because that wait time and that it's just the cycle is just hard. Its strength lies in creating and personalizing all experiences within the application, so all members of the business can work together on separate application categories depending on their roles.
It helps in decreasing time moving items, information, storage, and making educated decisions from data, without moving back and forth between applications while also integrating all useful external third-party applications that work best for the business all in one location.
In full, a user can access either or all information analytics, images, information design or data, user registrations and restrictions, content management, alongside other tools and settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Meeting points with external applications will be based on the preference of the project owner; so if an employee can work better using a different application, this may become an issue unless the employee is well-skilled.
It may be better suited for entrepreneurs who find themselves scaling on to their success already with a consistent following of consumers who come back regularly, without the need to use the software developer options or analytics, so it can be better used for content consistency across their websites, social media channels, and mobile applications instead. It was a great comprehensive tool to manage our content and publish it easier. It gave is ability to create templates so there was brand unification. there was seamless integration of other adobe tools we were using. Overall, a great tool for our growing enterprise. It's a great software but it takes a while to learn all the components and master them. And setting it up might take a little bit longer than you hope as well. But once you master it, it's easier to teach others to use it, and in general easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It helps teams organize and publish content more easily. It was used to schedule posts as well as provided us ready-made templates to use. That honestly saved us a lot more time to do other things that we wouldn't have been doing if we hadn't used it. Though it has a lot of features, you need to take time out to learn how to use the software to get the best out of it. Once you understand it, though, it's free game. Either way, A.E.M is a great choice if you need a useful tool to handle online content. Regardless of it all, it's great for everyday usage, and I do hope you have a great time using it as I did. It's a very good software, but it is a bit hard to learn if you have no idea what you're doing. Setting up might take a bit of time, and some parts might be hard to use if you don't have help, but once you get the hang of things, it would be an absolute piece of cake to use. Adobe Experience Manager allows us to manage hundreds of sites across multiple brands, dozens of countries, and several languages, with room to scale for more. The flexibility of the platform allows us to customize not only end user experiences, but author and designer experiences as well. The platform is highly useable for the most technical authors as well as those with the most basic AEM knowledge and skill. We're able to leverage useful out of the box capabilities while having the freedom for custom development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The sheer amount of available features can be difficult to stay abreast of. Such features may not always be available based on our use of custom templates and components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
