Tried using Acuity to create a scheduling tool for a brick and mortar photo studio. Acuity's scheduling feature works, but payment processing and subscriptions are complicated on backend and for clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

It's subscription feature is intended to be a deciding factor, but it just doesn't function well enough. Also, support for that feature set is minimal and squarespace support is difficult to get in touch with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Acuity Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to use the product to allow basic bookings of our studio. This does allow us to take payment without a human involved. It's the recurring payments and subscriptions that present problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

The ability to set up different appointment types with their intake forms, pricing, and other details, is invaluable. Once set up, any client can easily schedule their appointment or even purchase a multi-session package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

Only the details of setting up the appointments cause minor dislikes. It's a small headache to make sure you don't miss anything when you start this process. However, you quickly get used to the process, and the help materials are very supportive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

If scheduling single appointments it's pretty seamless to share your calendar with the client and schedule appointments. Ability to do appointment reminders, forms/waivers, special schedules, multiple calendars and payment processing including is all great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

We attempted to use acuity in a small group fitness environment. We had memberships and scheduling through here and it did not work well. Clients are asked to hold on to their "unique code" in order to schedule multiple sessions which was difficult. Sometimes sessions did not align with payment dates and sessions were lost Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Acuity Scheduling:

Use for one on one appointments and scheduling purposes. I would not recommend the packages / subscriptions or using for a group setting.

If you require support, a phone number is not available. You have to email customer service and it can take a couple of days for them to get back to you Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

The best thing is the client or prospect selects the best day and time for them that also fits my calendar.

While most of my clients are local, I've heard there can be a slight hiccup that the person has to select their time zone manually versus the system picking up their local time zone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

I find it simple to use and I like being able to customize all the reminders and the fact that it integrates with zoom so easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish you could make it so the reminders came from your accounts email. At first the reminders seemed to get lost for clients in their junk mail which made Transitioning from manual scheduling to Acuity a bit rough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acuity Scheduling?

The best thing about Acuity is being able to easily schedule appointments for several of our sales reps, and give them all the information they need in order to be prepared for their appointments. It allows to coordinate several schedules across multiple time zones. It also sends useful reminders via email and text to the customers, to help them remember their appointments. What do you dislike about Acuity Scheduling?

There are two main gripes I have with Acuity.

1. I wish Acuity could take into account the different time zones of our reps. It does take the customer's time zone into account, which makes it easy for them. However, I have multiple reps in several states. When they log in to Acuity, it shows their calendars in my time zone, since I'm the administrator. It should allow each user to have their own time zone so it displays accurately on their calendar. We fix this issue by having it sync with their Google Calendar, which works, but it's not ideal.

2. Acuity only allows reminder notifications to be sent on an hourly basis. So the soonest it can remind someone about their appointment is 1 hour before. Ideally, we would be able to send them a notification 5-10 minutes before. These are simple phone calls we're scheduling and it's easy to forget/ignore a reminder that's an hour out. The question Acuity solved for us is, "How do we schedule appointments for customers all over the country with sales reps that are also all across the country?"
