When it worked, the alerts were great to give you a heads up on activity that needed to be addressed and taking screenshots of the behavior. Customer service is one of the worst I've experienced. Very responsive when trying to sell you or get you to renew but abandon you as soon as there are any issues. Most companies continue to evolve their product, which they did add features but any that would really help with productivity or you to even digest the data you had to pay extra for every individual feature. They invested nothing into fixing the alarms that would break constantly, address the speed of the program itself (it was so slow I actually had to hire a part time employee to monitor and digest the data so we coudl coach on productivity). The data classifications were not smart, you would have to re-classify every day even if you had already classified that URL or item before. The UI is great compared to other programs but the functionality and whats included is much better elsewhere. You're also locked in to a year contract, no matter what the issues you have they will not let you out of it. I had an issue I wanted resolved and it took 4 weeks of me actively following up for them to get me any movement on the issue and then bc of the poor customer service i wanted to quit and then they push me on the phone with a VP (who i had to follow up with for another 4 weeks) just for her to try to upsell me on other features and say quit if you want but you're paying the rest of your 6 months left on your contract. We have contracts too in my business but we are good partners and when a situation warrants it, we wil work with the individual. They just care about money here - and they took away the ability for you to leave reviews anywhere which is shady - they control their narrrative or have paid reviewers and it doesn't allow consumers to get the real story. As an IT admin, I've ran into countless issues with ActivTrak. Installing can be inconsistent. There are times when I've verified that the software was installed yet they were not showing up in the admin panel. Incredibly confusing UI for both the IT admins and managers in charge of tracking their employees. Also, we've ran into an interesting issue where PCs would be thrown into the "Do Not Track" list when no one from my team did. When they're on that list, all previous data is deleted and cannot be recovered which is frustrating when we need to see that rep's tracking history. Also removing them from that list doesn't recover them most of the time and they completely disappear from the admin panel despite having the software installed on their PCs. Overall, I'd recommend either trusting your employees more, implementing incentives to drive out undesired behavior, or shopping around for a different tracking software. Being able to take screenshots along with the alerts to use as a basis of termination.they release new features every month so far and always gives me the ability to do things I never knew I needed. I wish they had a quick add to block list on the activity feed. I wish they could easily make it so we can block a website per use and not just by computer. ie one person is th eproblem child but I don't want to punish others who also use the computer. I love that I can manage my remote and in- person employees with equal ease and without much effort. We rarely ever experience any issues with the ActivTrak system and when we do their customer support is always there to help us. Reporting is detailed and comprehensive. The ability to set bnechamrks and give employees visibility into how they are working compared to their peers. We also have found it a useful complement to our security stack-- often there's no substitute for being able to see exactly what the employee was doing at a particular point in time.
