SEM Rush has been a part of my digital marketing toolbox for at least six or seven years. The amazing thing to me is that during that time, many other platforms that base what they do on data aggregation have fallen entirely or at least stumbled significantly but not SEM RUSH. I sometimes get confused about how to search and see the impact for keywords on a local basis because I think you have to form a project to check that out. It would be nice if it were easy to see local traffic for any keyword without having to set it up like that, but that is about my only complaint, and there are so many pluses that it is not a big deal. The best part I like the keyword overview, magic tool and one of my best strategy builder tool where you can just give a seed keywords and semrush will give you the keywords buckets list that really helpful in increasing traffic.
Apart from the keyword research, the content marketing feature, backlink auditing features where you can identify the spammy link which is coming to your website and the last one is the my best because this is the most important part of SEO which is technical SEO . There a re a stack of great features in SEMRush and it integrates with tools such as GA4 and LI for better insights. The SEO dashboard is a great way to get a high level view of how you are tracking. and you can dig deeper into any issues and see how you compare over time. I also like the site audit tool, to fix any issues on a weekly basis that may be affecting our scores. The key word tracker is also great, and I have been able to research keywords and then use the tools to create content in our niche and seen us enter in the top 100, and move down to the top ten by finding the right balance of key word difficulty/ and how people are searching (i.e.: commercial versus navigational). It's great that you can pull in your GA data for more accurate data on how your site is tracking. However, because of this, sometimes I think the competitor info may be inaccurate as it isn't pulling in the same way. So I have to keep this in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SEMRush helps with so many aspects for site health in your SEO efforts. I review site audit weekly to clean up any errors or issues with the site that need attention. Position Tracking is another feature I use weekly to see the rise and fall of the position or our terms. This helps me share the store of any strengths in our content, but also any holes where we are slipping for content gaps. Backlinks is another feature I watch weekly, including Listing Management to assist with this effort. It's easy to implement other tools into SEMRush for additional data. I love everything about this tool. The post creation, the individualization for various platforms, the ability to tag existing accounts... the list is never-ending. I use it everyday in my job and would not want to miss it.
My favorite aspect is the incredibly detailed insights Semrush Analytics provides! It has helped me refine my entire process when creating a posting schedule.

It's a comprehensive resource that allows me to track my clients' progress and challenges, keyword trends, mentions, and even social media! The only thing I don’t like is the social media posting feature. I can't verify the quality of my hashtags or select music to accompany the post—meaning the client has to approve a version different from the final one. So easy to use, DETAILED analytics, super reliable. In almost 2 years of using the platform it never goes down. The tracker abilities and analytical reporting are incredible and so easy to use, much better than other social media software tools I've used. The calendar is extremely friendly and just flows together, all of it wraps in well and JUST MAKES SENSE. That's one of biggest issues I've seen with other software, data and action points are all over the place. Analytics are great, I have to show yearly reports and semrush makes that incredbily easy. There's a lot of "N/A" on certain reporting analytics, but that is pretty understandable. Being very picky here, but I think when looking at data over a year or more, the program lacks on the reporting. That being said, I don't think Meta or LinkedIn keep much data past a year, so pretty understandable. I would really enjoy more updates, and definitely try to have more tracker ablilites on LinkedIn. That was a huge loss for us. Customer support is lacking, with the FEW issues we've had, it's hard to get in contact with one account manager, and they seem to change out frequently. There are way too many aspects to modern marketing to NOT have some type of platform to manage it all. Semrush IS that platform. It gives you all the tools you need to optimize and track the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns beyond what the typical Analytics tools provide.

Allows us to see our digital marketing footprint. What works, what doesn't, what needs to be adjusted or improved. It provides a complete picture for our company to create further reach to our targeted audience. The Social AI tools are also impressive. It helps when running into "writers block" to find new ideas and have all of our analytics in one place along with scheduling systems instead of buying other additional tools.
The overall experience is easy to use, simple to implement and integrate into Google analytics as well as the overall website and social media profiles.
