What do you like best about Semrush?

I really appreciate how Semrush lets me keep track of SEO, traffic, site health, and much more all in one place, which saves me time and impresses my clients. The level of information provided is so helpful and impressive, and I like the agency-level area that showcases us to potential clients. I've tried many competitors but always stayed with Semrush. I like that many important areas of marketing can be found within one dashboard. The ability to create custom reports that look very professional really impresses my clients. What do you dislike about Semrush?

"Unethical Renewal Practices and Zero Accountability - Avoid if You Value Transparency"

What do you like best about Semrush?

To be fair, the platform has a broad set of features for SEO professionals, though in my case I didn’t get to benefit from them this time. It’s unfortunate that such capabilities are overshadowed by the company's deeply disappointing billing practices and lack of customer support integrity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Semrush?

SEMrush auto-renewed my annual subscription without sending any advance notice or reminder, then flat-out refused to offer a refund—even though I hadn’t used the platform at all after the renewal. When I reached out, they hid behind their internal refund policy and claimed that “consumer protection laws don’t apply” because they are a B2B service. This is an incredibly evasive and irresponsible stance.

Their policy is not only rigid but ethically questionable. I never agreed to be charged silently for another full year without any chance to opt out, and their claim that "the information is always available in the dashboard" is a poor substitute for responsible customer communication.

To make things worse, their support team closed the case while refusing any further discussion. For a SaaS company that claims to serve professionals, this is appalling customer treatment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?

Frankly, none at this point. The platform did not solve any problems for us because we didn’t use it after the renewal. What SEMrush did introduce was a new problem: a significant unexpected expense, zero flexibility, and a complete lack of accountability or willingness to engage in a good-faith resolution.
