The software is easy to use and has many options for customization. Customer service is even better Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That I can not approve time off requests or shift trades via the app. I also cannot edit the schedule . Another item that would be useful is to be able to add a note when I decline a time off request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-the interconnectivity between diverse locations and brand concepts
-payroll is made extremely simple, especially things like Stat Pay and remittances
-scheduler is a great tool and easy to learn and use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-I don't like how we can't update the forms section to a greater extent. For instance, one of the forms we have for on-boarding is a menu guide with allergies, ingredients, descriptions, etc. Everyone has to look at it to be scheduled. BUT when we update the menu guide and put it into Push, people who have *already* completed their on-boarding do not have access to the new menu guide. They can only see the one that they looked at during on-boarding.
-I don't like how there isn't a repository or library of important doc. We have been using the Forms section for this but I'd rather have a library section that I can update frequently, and also alert my staff when any docs have been updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Before PUSH, we used a separate software for payroll, a separate one for scheduling, and a separate one for the employees to punch-in. Push has allowed us to streamline the payroll process by allowing us to integrate all those processes into one. The interface is modern and user-friendly and allows us to centralise HR and Payroll documents in one place. It is also nice that individual employees have access to their profiles and documents. With all technology companies, their support services can have a massive impact on customer satisfaction, and I’m happy to say that PUSH support has been very good, and timely. There were some growing pains at the beginning, however the PUSH support teams have generally been quick to respond and have been helpful and understanding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a super administrator, and the financial controller of our company, I am particularly interested with the accounting side of payroll. Although I have seen improvements in this area during the almost four years we have been using PUSH, there are still some shortcomings, some more concerning than others. I will not go into the technical details, but to any accountant reading this please note that, in my mind, PUSH is primarily a “technology solutions” company, providing great integration services. This is great for your operations team but may leave you frustrated and even baffled at times. PUSH was not built with accounting and reporting in mind, lacking the robustness, and even come simple controls that we as accountants are used to. These issues are further compounded for a company like ours who has hundreds of employees, working out of multiple locations over four provinces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PUSH payroll system is fairly easy to use even before going to the tutorials. Everything is straightforward and logical. If you can't find something, the email support team are awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The online help isn't always easy to maneuver. Have had a few times when I just could not find the info I was after. That could be input error, though.
The reporting could be easier to print out. Exporting to a spreadsheet is ok, but not always printable. (We like paper here!!)
Call-in support is sketchy at best. Wait times can be long, but that also depends on the timing. Year end of course is a bit of a nightmare for both sides!
Not sure if it's possible, but a reminder that input needs to be a day earlier when long weekends are involved, would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Push Operations for HR, Scheduling and Forecasting. Scheduling through Push is straightforward and efficient, allowing us to create and adjust shifts with ease. The system is intuitive, minimizing the time spent on scheduling-related tasks. As this is my main tool I use daily for our business I am happy with it's overall functionality and ease of use. Also, it should be noted that our implementation of Push went smooth and without issue.
The staff onboarding process is also well-designed. It facilitates a smooth transition for new hires by providing a clear structure for managing documents, roles, and other necessary onboarding steps. This helps ensure that the process is organized and efficient, without requiring excessive time or effort.
Push customer support is good. They are timely in responding to issues.
I have used Push in two businesses one retail and one pub/restaurant and overall, is a solid solution for businesses seeking to optimize their scheduling and staff management. It offers a functional, user-friendly interface that enhances operational efficiency without unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Push integrates well with other software to allow data to be shared between platforms however I have been having some issues with forecasting labor efficiently however, I do understand I have some unique challenges in our business and may not be a general reflection of how Push does in this regard. Honestly nothing that is special to Push that other programs don't have Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-the layout of schedules-can't print an actual schedule
-the response time to fix an issue - for example performance reviews have a weird setting and it is allowing everyone to see a completed review
-everything you add or do takes forever to give the appropriate people access
-the Indeed postings are terrible and get terrible views - I still have to post on our Indeed account to get an appropriate number of applicants
-adding a position if they have it archived has to be done by someone who can view wages-when they can add a position if they haven't had the position before and set to 0 for someone else to complete later
-the logbook layout-too much information on there to give access to people to actually use
-the worst part is that our team cannot punch out for lunch from their phones - they have to go to a punch clock. As we a large farm and have up to 200 people working during our busy time and the space here is spread out over acres this was a huge factor in our decision process and found out after the fact that they can't punch out for lunch. This was a complete lie to us and our needs that our sales person know. When providing previous feedback to a manager, I am just told sorry we will pass that along.
-I was supposed to receive a credit of $600+ and have not received that yet (this was from October)
-everything takes so long - you have to block off an hour to have a call because no one on the other end knows what they are doing.
Sorry, but I'm continually frustrated by this program! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it’s not just a scheduling tool. When I was first introduced to it many, many years ago, we primarily used it just for scheduling shift. Over time many new features such as messaging boards, individual messaging, and payroll applications have become my favourite tools! It’s like a one stop shop for for connecting your entire team! There are also so many opportunities for custom settings that you can really customize it to your workplace needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One things I wish you could do is not let people clock in until a preset time before their shift starts. Example: someone starts at 5:00, but they clock in at 4:41. It would be nice if push had a feature that notified them they they were clocking in to early and to either get a manager override to start early or to come back and clock in 5 minutes before their shift. Mobile access, ease of execution and understanding of how it works is awesome and overall the system is easy to understand and gather required details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Clock edits are time consuming and I would rather an option of an excel sheet to mass edit and submit at once. The constant load and reload feature is too time consuming.
I also think there's some reporting options missing like "show me who's been late" . Currently I take a different report and have to chat GPT it to break out the data I need.
I also wish that people could set there end date of employment where it will block them off the schedule to avoid potentially being scheduled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like the ease of use for scheduling with Push. The options for the staff requesting time off and releasing shifts makes my job much easier. I like that I can easily see the schedule for the day on the app on my phone and also see and use most of the functions right from my phone in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When time off or shift changes are accepted we can't find a record of it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a manager it makes scheduling and staff organization so easy. I have real time control of my team from my phone. that allows me to constantly maintain my staffing requirements and communication with the team.
For the staff, being able to create their schedule availability and shift swaps without needing me to over be a part of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is getting better as it grows and updates. I do feel though that some of the user interfaces are a little basic and could do with some stream lining.
Schedule layout works, but not easy without massive screen or high resolution. leads to some frustrated moments of scrolling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
automates calculation of Stat pay for employees
can import some info in bulk such as earnings & deductions, payroll processing is faster because of this.
support phone line is quick to answer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not that intuitive of a platform, and there's almost too much information & reports, there's a lot of features, but a lot are not being used and some terminology is confusing. Some info cannot be imported and must be entered manually.
Have had open customer service tickets for weeks, inconsistent with level of service. Some people will really dive in and support you, while others will give you bare-bones instructions (and often times wrong or doesn't work) and tell you to fix it yourself.
Had a lot of issues, deductions/earnings, information missed or incorrect. All challenges with setting up even with help implementing from support team. Instructions are from the Push, so it seems like the system is confusing for their own employees too.
There's been incorrect ROEs and push puts it back on the company to correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
