I came across Whimsical around an year back while I was learning to create UML diagrams and sequence diagrams, and I must say I was amazed with what I discovered. Whimsical is loaded with various features which I used to keep at different places randomly prior to this. Like for mind mapping, I used xmind but for flowcharts I used draw.io, lucidchart and even figma, but since I discovered whimsical, I loved how it provides these and various other features right out of the box. I am always on a lookout for centralizing so much of my thoughts, notes, diagrams and whimsical solves for it by giving all these features at one place. Its very easy to use and helps me keep my ideas and notes very visual. What i also love is the way it works in tandem with other tools - like notion where I can integrate it easily, and with chatgpt which has a plugin of whimsical and gives code to directly paste the sequence diagram from chatgpt to whimsical. Mind map are very quick and smooth. The feature to encrypt and decrypt multiple layers are of its kind. Never seen in any other product. Very good.

The AI integrations still need to be smart, currently it generates basic content without having a context. Apart from this I don't find any such limitations.

Everytime I've needed help, live chat has tespinded within minutes. Even at 2am when I thought I deleted my workflow entirely and had to have it ready to present first thing in the morning!! I wish you could print out the results more easily. The best way to share the map or docs is to actually share the link via email. The best part about Whimsical is that its very easy to use even for a beginner who wants to create workflows, stuctures which can be used in any business domain. No dislikes, but would like to suggest a Introduction tour at the time of new account creation on the basics of the tool, or a training tab on the top of the tool which can help any new user to quickly understand which tool is present on which screen. What I like most about Whimsical is the ease of use, simplicity and the ability to share and collaborate. With Whimsical, I can create diagrams, mind maps, workflows and more quickly and intuitively. In addition, I can invite others to view and edit my projects in real time, which facilitates teamwork and communication. One thing that I dislike about Whimsical is that the paid version is not much cheaper than the free version. I think they should offer more discounts or incentives for users who want to upgrade their plans. Another thing that I dislike is that the documents feature is very limited and does not have many options for formatting, editing, or collaborating. I would like to see more features like tables, charts, comments, and version history. Finally, I dislike that there is no database object template in the board view. This makes it hard to create and manage complex data structures and relationships. I wish they would add a database object template that allows users to create custom fields, filters, and views. Super user friendly UI and easy to get started. The learning curve is non-existent. Whiteboarding sessions can now include all stakeholders to sketch, refine and iterate upon product wireframes and user flows in real-time.
