"Easy to Use and Reliable Customer Engagement Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

Over the past few months, I have been using WebEngage more for customer journeys and user segmentation. It makes it easy to target the right users with the right message. I also like how everything is available in one place, which makes campaign management much simpler. The platform is easy to navigate, and creating campaigns doesn’t take much time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

The platform works well overall, but it can still be a bit slow at times, especially when opening dashboards or large campaigns. It would also be great if event data and analytics updated a little faster, as there can sometimes be a delay. Improving the overall speed and performance would make the experience even better. WebEngage is an excellent customer engagement platform with powerful automation, segmentation, and multi-channel marketing capabilities. It helps us deliver personalized customer experiences, improve conversions, and track campaign performance effectively. What do you dislike about WebEngage?

The platform can be a bit complex for new users, and some advanced features require time to learn. Occasionally, reporting and data synchronization could be more intuitive and faster. "A Reliable Tool for Personalized Marketing Campaigns"
4/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

My experience with WebEngage has improved over time. The platform makes it easy to segment users, organize leads, and create targeted campaigns with personalized variables. The journey builder and automation features are especially helpful in running multiple campaigns efficiently without much manual effort.

I also appreciate the analytics and reporting, which give clear insights into campaign performance and help with optimization. The UI has become more intuitive compared to earlier, making navigation smoother.

That said, there is still some scope for improvement in terms of speed and occasional lag while handling large datasets. A few advanced features could also be more user-friendly.

Overall, it’s a solid tool for marketing teams looking to scale personalized engagement and improve campaign effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

While the platform is feature-rich, there is still room for improvement in performance and real-time updates. Dashboard data and lead journey updates sometimes take 5–10 minutes to reflect, which can impact quick decision-making during active campaigns. Improving data refresh speed and real-time visibility would greatly enhance usability.

Additionally, simplifying some advanced configurations and improving UI responsiveness would make the platform more user-friendly, especially for new users. Faster customer support turnaround for critical issues would also be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"WebEngage Powers Activation with Journey Automation, Segmentation, and Omnichannel Reach"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

WebEngage for a fintech product like GoPaisa, the most helpful capabilities are the ones that directly improve activation, retention, and revenue.

Most Helpful Features in WebEngage

1. Journey Automation

Create automated user journeys based on user actions.

Example for Instant Money:

User enables Instant Money → doesn't complete KYC within 24 hours.

Automatically send:

Push notification

WhatsApp reminder

Email reminder

SMS fallback

This reduces manual campaign effort and improves conversion rates.

2. User Segmentation

Create audiences based on behavior, demographics, transactions, app activity, and more.

Examples:

KYC Started but Not Completed

Credit Card Users

High Cashback Earners

App Installed but Never Transacted

Uninstalled Users

This enables highly targeted campaigns instead of sending the same message to everyone.

3. Omnichannel Engagement

Reach users across:

Push Notifications

WhatsApp

Email

SMS

Web Push

In-App Messages

Users who ignore one channel can be reached on another, improving overall campaign performance.

4. Personalized Campaigns

Use customer attributes and behavior to personalize messages.

Example:

"Hi Ankur, complete your KYC today and unlock Instant Money transfers."

Personalization generally drives higher open and conversion rates.

5. Funnel & Drop-off Analytics

Identify where users leave the flow.

Instant Money Funnel

Landing Page View

Enable Instant Money

Start KYC

Complete KYC

First Transfer

You can see exactly where users drop off and optimize that step & many more Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

Journey nodes need a more attractive and intuitive design. Data loading performance should also be improved, as both data retrieval and segment-building processes take too long, leading to delays in campaign setup and execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Mark-ops tool"
5/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

1. The new 'Ask via AI' section in Create list is a very efficient way of creating lists with just prompts which is a very nice addition in the Webengage tool.

2. Webengage has comeup with Service accounts API key which solves for API keys maintained on a common level rather than user level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

1. Although we are hearing about CDPX being taken live and beta testing being happening. We need to have a primary key to secondary key in a single dashboard concept. As, an User is a single entity but biforcating its data into separate dashboards creates confusion on user customer engagement maintainance. Where from Dashboard 1 and Dashboard 2 doesnot talk to each other and thus we end up sending loads of customer engagement to the poor customer.

2. Although Webnengage says the time taken from an event triggered to automated sms, whatsapp, email delivery is between 0-30 secs. When checked in real time the average time duration was coming to >= 5 mins which is a lot. When asked it is told its a pipeline issue. But at the end it is a infra issue which they need to solve. We need to engage with the customer when they are interested and hot. That's when your conversion rate goes higher. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Journey Builder and Segmentation for Precise Lifecycle Messaging"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

One feature I really value is the user journey builder. It makes it much easier to map out lifecycle communication in a way that is practical. For example, if a user signs up, explores a feature, but drops off before completing a key action, I can create a targeted journey with nudges across email, push, or WhatsApp without making it feel forced. That kind of flexibility is genuinely useful.

I also like the segmentation capabilities. Being able to build cohorts based on behavior, recency, or funnel stage helps make campaigns much more precise. Instead of blasting the same message to everyone, I can reach users with something that actually matches where they are in the product experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

There are a lot of features packed (a lot of them you won't be using) into the product, which is great in theory, but in practice it can take time to understand. For a new user, it’s not always the most intuitive experience.

AMP templates (using drag and drop) is a useful feature which is still missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Marketing Automation tool with in-depth analytics"
5/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

The In-App notification feature has been a great channel for increasing retention and engaging users at critical junctures to win them back using winback campaigns. Also, the Rich Push notifications, including banner and carousel layouts, have been very useful in communicating the campaign intent through visual creatives and increasing our click-through rates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

The Campaign analytics only include click-through revenue, and there can be a feature to show a more detailed view of the revenue, including view-through and overall revenue generated per campaign Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and Effective CRM Tool with Room for Advanced Targeting"
4/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

I use WebEngage primarily for CRM tasks and appreciate its ease of use. It's very simple and straightforward. I also enjoy using the email function for sending out campaigns through WebEngage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

It could become a bit more complex in terms of targeting because the current options are very limited. It would be helpful if audience segmentation could be more flexible, such as targeting users based on booking behavior, travel intent, route interest, loyalty status, past purchases, abandoned searches, or app/web engagement. "Opens New Avenues for Campaign Solutioning with Ever-Expanding Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

It opens a lot of avenues for me to provide solutioning for my day to day campaigns. There are still tons of things to explore, plus more & more coming in terms of product features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

a couple of limitations in terms of conversion tracking. The journey builder has become a bit slower since a few months. The analytics module can be better in terms of both UI, Reports and Depth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"WebEngage is an effective platform for marketing automation and one-time campaigns."
4/5
What do you like best about WebEngage?

The platform allows using multiple channels and synchronising them to maximise impact on leads. Journey workflows are great for automating communication with leads and nurturing them toward conversion. It has now added a very important feature that was missing earlier - the ability to search saved email templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WebEngage?

The reports are not as precise and easy to understand as they should be. Conversion tracking across some channels is also inaccurate, and sometimes it's even missing. It has also gotten slower with time and can sometimes get stuck for an extended duration without any prior notice. When using old saved templates in newer emails, it takes a very long time to load, sometimes closing without getting saved and losing all progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
