## WebEngage Reviews
 ### 1. WebEngage Makes Personalized Lifecycle Campaigns Easy with Powerful Multi-Channel Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** yuvraaj g. | Marketing Intern, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

What I like best about WebEngage is how powerful yet practical the platform feels for retention and lifecycle marketing. The journey builder, segmentation capabilities, and multi-channel automation make it very easy to create personalized campaigns at scale. I also appreciate the real-time analytics and user behavior tracking, which help in optimizing campaigns faster and making data-backed decisions. Another major advantage is the ease of integrating different communication channels like push, email, SMS, and WhatsApp in one place, making campaign execution much more streamlined.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

One thing that can be improved in WebEngage is the platform performance while handling large segments or complex journey workflows, as reports and segment loading can sometimes feel slow. The UI also has a slight learning curve for new users, especially when setting up advanced automation or event mapping. Additionally, a few reporting and attribution features could be more detailed and easier to customize for deeper campaign analysis. Overall, the platform is very capable, but there is still room for improvement in speed, onboarding, and reporting flexibility.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage is helping us solve major retention and conversion challenges in the used car buying journey at Spinny. Since car purchases are high-intent but long decision-making journeys, many users tend to drop off after browsing vehicles or before booking a test drive. Using WebEngage, we are able to create hyper-personalized re-engagement journeys across WhatsApp, push notifications, SMS, and email to bring these users back into the funnel. It has also helped us unify customer behavior data, automate lifecycle communication, improve lead nurturing, and increase overall conversion efficiency. The biggest benefit has been better customer engagement at scale and a significant uplift in test drive bookings and user retention.

 ### 2. Powerful Platform for Personalised Customer Engagement & Retention- WebEngage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tapesh D. | Manager- CRM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

What I like most about WebEngage is how easy to integrate and how it makes day-to-day campaign management. The performance, support and and journey builder is simple to use, and the drag-and-drop flow saves a lot of time when setting up campaigns across push, email, WhatsApp, SMS, and in-app channels. I also really like the segmentation and event tracking capabilities because they help us target users based on real behaviour instead of sending the same communication to everyone. It has definitely made our retention and engagement campaigns more structured and faster to execute. This help us in generating the positive ROI.

Another thing that stands out is how quickly we can analyse and optimise campaigns. The real-time insights, funnel tracking, and automation features help us identify drop-offs and improve journeys without too much back and forth with tech teams. Over time, we’ve also seen how useful the platform is for maintaining a consistent experience across channels, which genuinely improves user engagement. It feels like a platform built for marketers who want both flexibility and control without making the process complicated.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

One thing I dislike about WebEngage is that while the platform is powerful, some features can feel a bit overwhelming initially, especially when setting up complex journeys or troubleshooting event-related issues. At times, understanding why certain events or campaigns are not triggering as expected takes longer than it should, and debugging could be more straightforward. The reporting and analytics sections also have a learning curve, particularly when handling multiple campaigns and custom events together.

Another area where I feel there’s room for improvement is platform performance and consistency. Sometimes campaign stats, event population, or reachability data take time to reflect accurately, which can make real-time optimisation difficult. A few advanced features also depend heavily on SDK configurations, so even small implementation gaps can impact campaign execution. While the support team is helpful, faster resolution timelines for high-priority issues would make the overall experience much smoother.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What WebEngage mainly solves for us is customer engagement and retention at scale. Before using it, managing user communication across different channels and user segments used to take a lot of manual effort. Now we can automate journeys based on real user behavior — like cart abandonment, drop-offs, inactivity, searches, or booking actions — and reach users through push notifications, email, WhatsApp, SMS, and in-app messaging from one platform itself. That has made our campaigns much more personalized and timely instead of sending generic communication to everyone.

The biggest benefit has been better visibility into the customer journey and faster execution from the marketing side. Features like segmentation, event tracking, funnels, and real-time analytics help us quickly identify where users are dropping off and take action immediately. It has also reduced dependency on tech teams for many campaign-related tasks, which saves time and helps us launch experiments faster. Overall, it has helped improve engagement, retention, and campaign efficiency while making the entire workflow more organized for the team.

 ### 3. Empowers Campaigns with Advanced Analytics, Needs Better WhatsApp Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monika K. | Digital Marketing Manager-Retention and Engagement, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2025

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I use WebEngage for communicating with customers, analyzing behavior, and optimizing their journey. I like that it's one place for analyzing, finding, and taking action. I appreciate the Event Analytics feature, which is getting advanced day by day and gives me a lot of details, helping me run successful campaigns and make beneficial business decisions. The introduction of AI is also something I'm looking forward to exploring fully. The initial setup of WebEngage was smooth.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

I find WhatsApp as a channel is not very efficient through WebEngage. It should be smooth, rather than adding templates twice. WebEngage should focus on this channel as a priority because this is one of the top most channels today.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WebEngage for communicating with customers, analyzing behavior, and optimizing their journey. It provides one place for analysis, finding, and taking actions, with Event Analytics helping me run successful campaigns and make beneficial business decisions.

 ### 4. WebEngage: Easy Journey Automation, Smart Segmentation, and Real-Time Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prabhat K. | Deputy Manager (Loans), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

WebEngage has truly been a game-changer for customer engagement and retention. I especially appreciate the easy-to-use dashboard and the powerful user journey automation, which make it straightforward to set up and manage campaigns. The segmentation and personalization tools also help me create highly targeted outreach that feels relevant to different audiences. On top of that, the real-time analytics and push notification capabilities make it simple to monitor results and optimize campaigns as I go. Overall, it’s a strong platform for improving user engagement and marketing performance.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The reporting dashboard can feel a bit complex at times, and it may take new users some time to fully understand how to use it.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage helps solve customer retention and engagement challenges through personalized communication.
It allows us to automate user journeys across push notifications, emails, SMS, and WhatsApp from a single platform.
The advanced segmentation feature helps target the right audience with relevant messaging.
Its analytics and campaign tracking improve decision-making and marketing performance.
Overall, it has helped increase user engagement, conversions, and customer lifecycle management efficiency.

 ### 5. A Reliable Tool for Personalized Marketing Campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preeti B. | Tech Lead, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2023

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

My experience with WebEngage has improved over time. The platform makes it easy to segment users, organize leads, and create targeted campaigns with personalized variables. The journey builder and automation features are especially helpful in running multiple campaigns efficiently without much manual effort.

I also appreciate the analytics and reporting, which give clear insights into campaign performance and help with optimization. The UI has become more intuitive compared to earlier, making navigation smoother.

That said, there is still some scope for improvement in terms of speed and occasional lag while handling large datasets. A few advanced features could also be more user-friendly.

Overall, it’s a solid tool for marketing teams looking to scale personalized engagement and improve campaign effectiveness.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

While the platform is feature-rich, there is still room for improvement in performance and real-time updates. Dashboard data and lead journey updates sometimes take 5–10 minutes to reflect, which can impact quick decision-making during active campaigns. Improving data refresh speed and real-time visibility would greatly enhance usability.

Additionally, simplifying some advanced configurations and improving UI responsiveness would make the platform more user-friendly, especially for new users. Faster customer support turnaround for critical issues would also be beneficial.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating distinct segments without revealing customer data.

 ### 6. Good Mark-ops tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sayan d. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

1. The new 'Ask via AI' section in Create list is a very efficient way of creating lists with just prompts which is a very nice addition in the Webengage tool.
2. Webengage has comeup with Service accounts API key which solves for API keys maintained on a common level rather than user level.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

1. Although we are hearing about CDPX being taken live and beta testing being happening. We need to have a primary key to secondary key in a single dashboard concept. As, an User is a single entity but biforcating its data into separate dashboards creates confusion on user customer engagement maintainance. Where from Dashboard 1 and Dashboard 2 doesnot talk to each other and thus we end up sending loads of customer engagement to the poor customer.
2. Although Webnengage says the time taken from an event triggered to automated sms, whatsapp, email delivery is between 0-30 secs. When checked in real time the average time duration was coming to >= 5 mins which is a lot. When asked it is told its a pipeline issue. But at the end it is a infra issue which they need to solve. We need to engage with the customer when they are interested and hot. That's when your conversion rate goes higher.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So we have tracking events on a lead id level not user level so Webengage has solved that by introducing new dashboard called dashboard 2 which helps me track events on a lead level which has helped the business a lot.

 ### 7. Flexible Journey Builder and Segmentation for Precise Lifecycle Messaging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad A. | Assistant Manager- Product Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

One feature I really value is the user journey builder. It makes it much easier to map out lifecycle communication in a way that is practical. For example, if a user signs up, explores a feature, but drops off before completing a key action, I can create a targeted journey with nudges across email, push, or WhatsApp without making it feel forced. That kind of flexibility is genuinely useful.

I also like the segmentation capabilities. Being able to build cohorts based on behavior, recency, or funnel stage helps make campaigns much more precise. Instead of blasting the same message to everyone, I can reach users with something that actually matches where they are in the product experience.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

There are a lot of features packed (a lot of them you won't be using) into the product, which is great in theory, but in practice it can take time to understand. For a new user, it’s not always the most intuitive experience.

AMP templates (using drag and drop) is a useful feature which is still missing.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Journey creation, user segmentation, native integration with industry-relevant tools are some of the key benefits of using WebEngage for me.

 ### 8. Excellent Marketing Automation tool with in-depth analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faizan K. | QA Manager, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

The In-App notification feature has been a great channel for increasing retention and engaging users at critical junctures to win them back using winback campaigns. Also, the Rich Push notifications, including banner and carousel layouts, have been very useful in communicating the campaign intent through visual creatives and increasing our click-through rates.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The Campaign analytics only include click-through revenue, and there can be a feature to show a more detailed view of the revenue, including view-through and overall revenue generated per campaign

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage is helping us in gathering the user level event data and analytics using their Custom Event and parameters along with user attributes to map out specific marketing automation journeys for different user states such as a subscriber, free user, and churned user. we can curate our marketing automation journeys and the communication accordingly by using this data.

 ### 9. WebEngage is an effective platform for marketing automation and one-time campaigns.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anupam J. | Assitant Manager - CRM, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

The platform allows using multiple channels and synchronising them to maximise impact on leads. Journey workflows are great for automating communication with leads and nurturing them toward conversion. It has now added a very important feature that was missing earlier - the ability to search saved email templates.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The reports are not as precise and easy to understand as they should be. Conversion tracking across some channels is also inaccurate, and sometimes it's even missing. It has also gotten slower with time and can sometimes get stuck for an extended duration without any prior notice. When using old saved templates in newer emails, it takes a very long time to load, sometimes closing without getting saved and losing all progress.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage helps us target leads across a good mix of channels and also lets us automate their nurturing journeys efficiently and effectively. The multi-channel integration is especially helpful.

 ### 10. Easy integration but lot to improve on product and support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed Z. | QA Specialist, Banking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

really liking the new way segments are handled now. it's way more intuitive. also had to chat with their support team recently and they were super helpful with a tricky journey flow I was trying to build.. plus the reporting side of things seems to have more depth lately which is great for our weekly deep dives

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

honestly the journey builder needs more advanced logic.. like its hard to do complex if-else loops right now without it getting messy. also the customer support could be faster. sometimes when we have a technical issue it takes way too long to get a person who actually knows the backend to help out. feels like a bit of a bottleneck for us

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

no need to build new notification engine and have load on our servers, instead existing system and concentrated on core work.

 ### 11. Fantastic Features with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahima B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I use WebEngage for day-to-day operations in retention marketing, including lifecycle management journeys, retargeting, events tracking, and data analysis. I appreciate its easy-to-use UI UX, especially the clear dashboards that help with cohorting analysis. I like Live segments because they offer a lot of functionality in creating a perfect chunk of users to target and drive conversions. The funnels feature is great for understanding where users drop off so I can retarget effectively to reduce leakage. The cohort analysis is helpful for understanding trends and taking necessary actions. The initial setup was quite easy without any complications, thanks to the cooperative support team.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

List segments. The new rollout feature is not at all feasible to use. The earlier UI was pretty easy to navigate and use, which was same as live segments but currently, the new version is not easy to navigate.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WebEngage to effectively reach users, with an easy-to-use UI for cohort analysis and clear dashboards. It helps by using live segments, funnels, and cohort analysis to target, understand user drop-off points, and follow trends for necessary actions.

 ### 12. Unified Data & Automated Journeys That Boost ROI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshi B. | Assistant Manager Digital Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

We’re able to integrate our data from multiple platforms into one place which us retarget our existing users more effectively and efficiently, while also keeping a close eye on ROI.

Earlier, our data was scattered across different platforms and we were operating across multiple channels. This increased a lot of manual effort. After using WebEngage, our journeys are now automated, which has reduced manual work significantly and made execution much smoother.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

As of now, there’s nothing specific that stands out as a dislike. We’re exploring different features of the platform, and overall the experience has been quite useful and promising.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help us to centralize user data from multiple platforms, which reduce our manual efforts and we are able to create multiple automated journey for retarget right user at right time

 ### 13. Smooth User Journey and Communication Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Balakrishnan R. | Director of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

Handling the entire user journey and communications went well, rather than using our schedulers.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

We had to create two dashboards for different business scenarios. We also needed to push certain events to the main dashboard, while sending other events to the secondary dashboard, depending on the scenario.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main use case with WebEngage is managing the entire user journey and the communication flows around it. That’s the core problem we’re solving with the platform.

 ### 14. Seamless Campaign Automation with Constantly Evolving Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paridhi B. | Senior Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

It helps automate marketing campaigns seamlessly. Other features, such as surveys, onsite tools, and personalization, are also helpful for our product. I also appreciate that new features are introduced constantly.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The events analytics function could be better. The tech integration process could be smoother, with a quicker TAT. Campaign analytics also needs improvement so it reflects the right data more consistently. Catalogues and recommendations could be improved as well, as they currently don’t feel as strong as they could be.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me optimize campaigns through campaign performance analysis. It also supports my decision-making in critical situations, such as a product launch or introducing a new product feature, by helping me understand consumers through surveys. Also, it helps me better understand customer behavior so we can serve them more effectively.

 ### 15. Great marketing platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritwik S. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2023

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

The dashboard structure is great and the new features added over the past year have been of good use.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

Support and the TAT for solving customer issues needs to improved

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consumer centric company, performing marketing is a tidious task managing different platforms at the same time. WebEngage has made it possible to do all type of marketing communication from a single place. We have been actively using WebEngage for sending out various type of push notifications and whatsapp campaigns related to multiple events, special products for seniors and travel packages.

 ### 16. Effortless Integration and Powerful Features for Developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manu Y. | Full stack developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2025

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

The Ease of Integration is a lifesaver. It’s incredibly developer-friendly: I just added the SDK dependency, created a single helper class to wrap the initialization, and that's it. The service handles event flushing and data syncing flawlessly in the background. The Ease of Use of the dashboard is also great for debugging; I can verify if the events I'm triggering in code are actually reaching the server in real-time. The Number of Features - especially the journey designer - saves me from writing complex backend logic to manage user states. I use this product frequently to monitor my app's event traffic

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The Ease of Implementation gets a bit tricky when customizing advanced UI elements. While the basic integration is smooth, styling the in-app notifications to match my app’s theme took some guesswork and wasn't straightforward. Customer Support is decent, but sometimes they struggle to answer deep technical queries regarding the SDK internals quickly. I also feel the documentation could be better for edge cases.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage solves the headache of building and maintaining a custom notification infrastructure. As a developer, I don't want to write cron jobs or maintain a separate microservice just to send emails and push notifications based on user behavior. It benefits me by abstracting all that complexity: I just call a function to log an event like "Cart Added," and the platform handles the rest ~ retries, offline syncing, and delivery logic flawlessly. It literally allows me to focus on coding core product features rather than worrying about the plumbing of user engagement.

 ### 17. This should be the benchmark CRM tool for all businesses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddharth K. | Customer relations manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2024

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I am a first time CRM user and WebEngage was the first tool that I have ever used. From the onboarding through Webengage Academy to the knowledge base, I have never felt lost with this software and how things work. All features just make sense! The potential is unlimited as we are actively adding new features while implementing BAU requirements as per our requirements. The Manager support is great as well with multiple offline meets schedule for planning alongwith that a great technical support is also provided where issues are usually resolved within 24 working hours. I have been using WebEngage daily for the past 2 months and I am able to apply all of my marketing knowledge using the tools available on here.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

While I have much nice things to say about the platform, I can still say that the server speeds can be a bit better(our database is way too big as well). But, apart from that I have had no complaints from the portal or the support team.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage is helping us automate and centralize all our communication in a manner that our user base is not getting un-personalized communication at random times. It is helping us reach revenue goals every month by providing us with the marketing tools for personalization, segmentation and centralization.

 ### 18. Easy to use, well-integrated and effective for customer retention

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehak V. | Assistant Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

It's easy to use and navigate, even the complicated processes like journey creation and campaign set up are also very intuitive. Almost all of our use cases are catered to as it has seamlessly been integrated with our sytem. The POC from the Webengage team is easy to reach and resolves issues quickly.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

Sometimes brewing of segments take longer than expected. Rest everything is better than expected.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hels us tackle problems like customer retention, by enabling cohortisation and setting up personalised campaigns. Also helps us in reaching out to users who drop-off and building recall, eventually improving conversion. Additionally, it helps with analytics and data tracking.

 ### 19. User-Friendly Platform for Personalized Campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** saahil a.

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I like how easy WebEngage is to use, making it very user-friendly with quick actionable steps. Creating a campaign is straightforward and self-explanatory, so it didn't take me much time to understand how to edit and create journeys and campaigns. I also appreciate the analytics section which is easy to understand, allowing me to interpret the data effectively.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

I think WebEngage could be improved by adding more video content on how to fully use it instead of relying on just written content. Some use case examples and a small tutorial on how to create journeys, explaining what each button does with tooltips, would be beneficial. Also, the initial setup was a bit long for us due to some back and forth on a few system setups we had to complete.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WebEngage to send notifications and communications to my customers. It helps me send personalized communications to specific user groups. Creating campaigns is easy and quick, and the analytics section is simple to understand and interpret.

 ### 20. Powerful Customer Engagement with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shobhit A. | Technology Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I like best about WebEngage is its powerful segmentation and journey building capabilities. The platform allows us to create highly granular user segments based on real-time behavior and events. WebEngage also provides robust analytics and campaign reporting, which help us measure performance and optimize campaigns continuously as we go. Its segmentation and journey building capabilities add significant value to our operations by allowing us to engage users in a highly targeted and contextual manner. The segmentation engine enables us to create dynamic user segments based on real-time events, historical behavior, user's demographics, and custom attributes, ensuring that each communication is relevant and on time.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

While WebEngage is a powerful platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The initial learning curve is quite steep, especially for new users. Some workflows and settings are not intuitive. Reporting and dashboards, though detailed, could benefit from more customization options such as easier creation of custom reports and better export flexibility.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage solves fragmented and manual customer communication by centralizing user data, enabling behavioral segmentation, automating targeted campaigns across multiple channels, and personalizing messages at scale.

 ### 21. Powerful Campaign Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kashish M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I like WebEngage for its segmentation feature, which allows us to target the right audience efficiently when running campaigns or experiments. The journey flows are great for using multiple channels like push notifications, WhatsApp, and SMS to send communications effectively. I also appreciate the relays, as they help align our business logic with user attributes seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

 ### 22. Powerful Omnichannel Automation That Bridged Our Engagement Gap

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md I. | Executive

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I use WebEngage to automate omnichannel marketing campaigns which significantly improve user retention. I appreciate the Journey Designer, with its intuitive drag-and-drop interface that allows me to map out complex customer workflows without needing a technical background. I also value the omnichannel integration that saves a lot of time by having SMS, Email, and Web Push all in one place, providing us with a unified view of our users. The Split (A/B testing) feature in the Journey Designer is particularly beneficial as it enables me to test different communication branches in real-time. I also like that the initial setup was smoother than expected thanks to the well-documented SDK and the onboarding team. WebEngage is powerful enough for advanced automation but still intuitive, letting the marketing team run campaigns without relying heavily on developers.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

One area for improvement is the dashboard performance, particularly when loading large datasets or live segments; it can sometimes feel a bit sluggish. The UI can also feel slightly cluttered when you’re managing a high volume of campaigns, which leads to a bit of a learning curve for new team members. Additionally, I’d love to see more robust native reporting for deeper product analytics. While the marketing automation is top-tier, sometimes getting granular insights requires a bit more manual effort or external tools than I’d like. Improving the loading speeds and streamlining the navigation would make the daily experience much smoother.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WebEngage to automate omnichannel marketing, solving fragmented communication by centralizing customer data. It boosts retention by automating user re-engagement across email, SMS, and WhatsApp, saving manual effort and increasing conversions.

WebEngage’s campaign automation tools make it easy to engage users at the right times. This way, we’re able to make the app feel more personalized, which keeps users happier.

Mapping User Journeys to Offer What Users Want
By tracking user actions and mapping their journeys, we can understand what users are looking for at each stage. **What do you like best about WebEngage?**

The platform brings a lot of value with its wide number of features—push notifications, emails, journeys, segmentation, everything works well together. I found the ease of use to be very good, especially once things were up and running. We use it regularly, and it’s helped us improve communication with users across different channels. The journey builder is especially well-designed and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The ease of implementation could be better. Setting things up, especially for web, needed some back and forth. The documentation wasn’t very clear in some places, and the ease of integration depends a lot on your setup. It wasn’t super difficult, but I did expect it to be smoother. Also, customer support was helpful, but responses could have been a little quicker during the setup phase.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re mainly using WebEngage for marketing automation, push notifications, and customer journey analytics, and it’s been a big help. Earlier, we had to rely on separate tools or manual processes to send campaigns, track engagement, and understand user behaviour. Now, with WebEngage, we can manage everything from one place.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piyush S. | CRM Excutive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2025

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

1. Accurate campaign metrics & analytics:
WebEngage’s dashboard provides precise, real-time campaign data—funnels, cohorts, paths, and more—so I always know what's working and can optimize quickly.

2. Easy and smooth campaign execution
The journey builder and campaign manager are intuitive and user-friendly, enabling me to set up multi‑channel campaigns (email, SMS, WhatsApp) with minimal effort.

3. Excellent customer support
WebEngage’s support is proactive and responsive, helping me troubleshoot and refine campaigns swiftly

4. User-friendly and growth-oriented platform
The interface is clean and easy to navigate, even when building complex workflows. It's helped me grow professionally by enabling me to design and execute sophisticated, data-driven campaigns independently.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

1. Slow performance during peak times:
I often experience noticeable slowdowns, especially around 6 pm each day when the platform seems to lag. It affects my workflow and campaign setup process.

2. Segmentation limitations
While WebEngage allows segmentation based on inclusion or exclusion criteria, it doesn't support combining both for more advanced, nuanced audience targeting. This restricts the flexibility in crafting precise segments.

3. Lack of control over email A/B test timing:
In email A/B testing, I can't specify how long the experiment should run before selecting a winner. The tool doesn't let me wait for a custom duration; it just picks the winning variant based on default criteria and immediately applies it. This limits my ability to make data-driven decisions over a chosen time frame.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WebEngage solves the challenges of fragmented customer engagement by providing a unified, drag‑and‑drop journey builder for seamless omnichannel automation (email, SMS, WhatsApp), empowering me to personalize and time campaigns more effectively. **What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I appreciate WebEngage for helping us engage with our clients on our website and other social media platforms. I like its AI-driven approach that targets and optimizes our search, markets, and engages clients based on their preferences and needs. It takes a proactive marketing approach for customers. Also, the initial setup of WebEngage was simple.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

Nothing

 ### 49. User-Friendly Interface and Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savy P. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

I appreciate the user-friendly interface and the quick, responsive support.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

At the moment, nothing specific comes to mind, but I am interested in finding a more affordable alternative to Sinch.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have implemented some automated journeys that help reduce our reliance on agents for follow-ups, while also ensuring that there are no missed follow-ups and that business revenue remains unaffected.

 ### 50. Feature-Rich and Easy for New Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anuj G. | Marketing Automation Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about WebEngage?**

The tool itself has many features that help even new users access it easily.

**What do you dislike about WebEngage?**

The GC team seems very demotivated. They’ve said that a client emergency is not their emergency, which is disappointing and makes it hard to rely on them when urgent issues come up.

**What problems is WebEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All communication is in one place, and adding BigQuery also makes it a more reliable platform.
