What do you like best about WalkMe?

WalkMe is very powerful. It includes a number of apps to guide a user step-by-step (the core product). There are also a number of tools to help you investigate where issues exist. The logic editor is fantastic. Anyone with attention to detail will love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

WalkMe is bloated compared to competitors. There are so many features which are built and forgotten or unnecessary. The core product gets little love. Builders scream for updates in community forums, which go on deaf ears, In favour of other new bloat outside the editor. Learning everything that exists now is a dog's breakfast.

Pre-built templates are messy, have a poor UX to edit elements and most areas need CSS knowledge to be truly powerful.

The WalkMe training (LMS university) doesn't actually use walk me to onboard you. Which immediately makes you question how good the product really is for onboarding.

I used to love WalkMe a few years ago. But it's lost direction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our users engage most with tooltips (i.e., smart tips and launchers) and modal windows (i.e 'Shoutouts). All of these provide instant quick in one click. The rule editor allows for powerful segmentation to specific groups.

The great thing about all of these is that you can hyperlink to additional information/documentation/videos.

That said, this feature is not groundbreaking stuff. But surprisingly, it gets more engagement than the Walkthroughs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WalkMe?

The think I like best about WalkMe is it's constant evolution and improvement to keep up to date with technical advances and challenges. We have now implemented WalkMe on 7 systems at my currently company and I've completed 41 implementations in total over my time working with the software. It shows the diversity of systems that the platform can be added to and how it adds benefits across different processes and teams. The WalkMe team have been very supportive in working with our builders to enjoy that our projects are successful and have shared in our commitment to simplify processes and improve the use of the systems for our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

The only dislike I has is dealing with support staff who are new to the software and haven't yet had the necessary exposure to the more complex issues and therefore there is a delay in getting the required help. WalkMe does have an alternative source of support through their WalkMe community forum; utliising experts from the DAP community who are more than willing to help with complex issues and explore challenges. As the product continues to be expanded and updated there is a transition period with changes with previous features not being available in new UI or having to work between two or even three different parts of the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

WalkMe has helped my company address issues we have with inefficiences in our system processes and improve performance. With the help of WalkMe we have been able to streamline our processes and reduce bottlenecks and generally make our systems more effective and easier for the users which in turn improves service for our customers.

If quoted timeframes and costs for software development do not meet with business need, we use WalkMe to bridge the gap, demonstrating the immediate benefits and the necessity to move forward with the development. A recent project for this allowed us to bring an offer to Market 6-9 months before development work would have been completed.

Our latest project provides our AI team with the vehicle for their machine learning models so they can bring their response direct to our users by connecting up the WalkMe software to their API endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WalkMe?

WalkMe has been amazing in allowing us to communicate and support colleagues on a global scale. We launched during the pandemic and it allowed me to upskill my end users and communicate important updates without needing to be with them in person. The most simple functionality can be the most effective in the form of shoutouts and smarttips future proof my content and get to those users who don't actively seek out support with WalkThru's. I can engage with users without them even realising they are using WalkMe and overcome some of the most commonly asked questions with a simple launcher.

Aside from the functionality within the tool the team are also amazing, they are so patient, helpful and fun to work with. They can overcome most problems and i genuinely look forward to my meetings with them. They listen to our needs and nearly always have a solution on its way or will take our feedback and action it for future releases. They also care hugely and genuinely about seeing you and your business succeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

We have had some issues with the tool not working across multiple languages in our system. That has been my only major problem but i have to say the WalkMe team worked really really hard to resolve it and worked closely with us to ensure it was solved so we could use across different languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering WalkMe:

Have patience with your deployment! Be sure to have all the information for your data privacy & security, data collection, approvals for works councils in place before you attempt to launch. Utilise the support offered by WalkMe and the Solutions Architects to launch your first pieces of content and take it slow and steady. Be creative in your thinking and listen to your end users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are looking at a couple of problems: Training cost reduction, Reducing support tickets, Process completion and end users becoming self sufficient in the system. Since we launched WalkMe our training costs (other than WalkMe) have dropped significanlty. We still train in person but over teams and WalkMe compliments this training, it has removed the need for travel as rather than full days we only need a couple of hours. It has dramatically reduced the number of support tickets so now the teams can focus on value add tasks. Our core processes are being completed in a timely manner and our end users no longer need hand holding through them as they are using what they need in WalkMe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lacey Butler of WalkMe

Laura, thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review, and I'll definitely share your kudos with the rest of the team :). (I'm biased, but I agree that they're pretty helpful and fun to work with :)).

We're committed to your success, so it's *also* great to hear that we were able to work with you to make sure you could launch your content across languages and that you've seen some of your feedback make its way into the product 🙌. Delivering enterprise-grade features and capabilities is a top priority for us, and we're continually investing in our localization and cross-region support to ensure a great experience for our customers around the world.

Sending you a big congratulations on everything that you've accomplished with your program – and we can't wait to see what you do next!

What do you like best about WalkMe?

Walkme is easy to use, even for beginners, and as a builder it is possible to start creating content very fast. The support is also great and responsive. Despite the simplicity of use, it is a great tool, very complete, that allows to create complex content that fits all needs. I would highlight:

- quick start,

- reactive support,

- very complete analytics tools that help understanding users behaviours, creating new content or correcting mistakes,

- wide variety of content: interactive guidance with balloons, tips on specific fields, pop-ups appearing based on specific conditions, links to other pages etc...

- enjoyable for endusers as a new and modern guidance tool.

The more you use WalkMe, the more versatile it gets, and you can adapt its pre-built features to achieve a lot of goals: user support, error prevention, communication, etc...

It' also worth mentionning that the WalkMe community is very engaged and active. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

The tool improved greatly in the last years and some low accuracy issues in selection of elements were corrected, at the moment nothing much to complain about. Maybe the Insight tool is too complete and it's almost frustrating not to have time and resources to use its full potential. There are plenty of contents available, from smart tips to walk-trhough, but also a lot of analysis tools, which can be overwhelming at the beginning, but Walkme advisors usually make sure we get up to speed with all useful tool.

Depending on the structure of the page you're building on, Walkme will be more or less accurate, but we always found workarounds or tools to overcome these issues, fortunately every single new release is making the tool better, and the use of IA is also increasing the accuracy of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Walkme is helping our enduser using our Procurement tool with interactive guidance and information all along the ordering process. It also prevents some mistakes by automatically checking and validating the content of critical fields.

We also use it to make some annoucements when updates are launched, or reminders under the form of pop-ups, that can be set on specific page and for specific users and quick to add or remove, according to the needs.

What do you like best about WalkMe?

WalkMe solves the just-in-time-training problem the way no other application can. Instead of pulling users away from desk, expecting rote memorization of complex process and inundating them with job aids - the instruction happens on the screen during real-time execution. No time away from desk. No memorization. No maintenance of cumbersome job aids. With this type of improved experience, you can do wonders for data integrity, change adoption and improving the ROI of your entire tech stack. I've been in Change Adoption for 20 years. This is the only application that I've ever used that has actually created provable results. On a long enough timeline, all training looks like this. Do it now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

The hardest part of WalkMe is selling it internally. It's a net-new technology, so helping leaders understand the scope of the opportunity can sometimes be a bit of a journey. But worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data integrity issues are a thing of the past with WalkMe. We have content that literally stops the user from entering bad data, automates key data elements for consistency and ensures no data is missing. The validaton capabilities soar above what IT can hard-code into the underlying platforms. As a result, we've taken error rates as high as 70% all the way to 0 by making the error impossible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lacey Butler of WalkMe

Chris, thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review about your experiences! We're always thrilled to hear how people are doing wonders (such a great word!) with their DAP strategy – and you're it sounds like you're delivering a *big* impact with your solutions, from proactive data validation and error reduction to driving change, delivering in-the-flow of work guidance, and boosting tech stack ROI 🙌

Thank you for choosing WalkMe and here’s to your continued success and innovation! 🚀

What do you like best about WalkMe?

WalkMe's support team is exceptional. We submitted an issue, and they provided regular check-ins as they identified our problem and worked toward a fix. This communicative approach means we never felt left in the dark and knew answers were coming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

For anyone new to in-application learning, the challenge is learning not only how to use WalkMe, but also the importance of the customer focus and not just creating content because you can. So the challenge is simply learning something brand new. WalkMe, however, mitigates this issue by providing excellent training content and a really great certification program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

WalkMe is helping us solve the problem of meeting customers where they are. Instead of having to flip through paper or online documentation, the answer is a few clicks away. And whenever we run into a unique challenge with our content creation, WalkMe's ability to provide workarounds with jQuery has been a lifesaver. This flexibility ensures that we can implement custom solutions to meet our specific requirements, enhancing the overall functionality and effectiveness of our WalkMe implementations. This is important when you want your customers to have the full in-application support experience vs pieces and parts of the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lacey Butler of WalkMe

Hi Monica - thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We love to hear that you've had such great experiences with our support team, as well as our enablement and certification programs :).

What do you like best about WalkMe?

WalkMe let's me inject a launcher button in the middle of an ordering flow, so that users who get confused can click that button and get help to finish completing their order. I've added these launcher buttons to a few of our flows and have had a big increase in users using the WalkMe guides! I love that I can add these buttons anywhere I want and control the messaging, all without having to involve our developers! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

No big downsides! The WalkMe Editor has a lot of features and it takes time to learn how to use them, but they have great help topics on their support website, chat support and you can schedule a call with someone to help you over a Zoom call as needed at a time that works best for you! The support staff is very professional and dedicated to making sure you are happy with the results! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Some of our customers are super techy Network Administrators and know how to manage their network settings, but some are not Network Administrators, so WalkMe helps them better understand how to make changes to their network using our ordering tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WalkMe?

Our organization implemented WalkMe to use on a few applications, one being UKG (Kronos). We have used it in both Workforce Central and UKG Pro WFM. We have had much success with it. We have found that our endusers like the quick feedback they receive when using WalkMe functionality. In addition, some end users just need to get a few steps into the process to remember how to complete it. It saves them time and also, our support team time so we can focus on other items/issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

I'm not sure there are any downsides to using it and there isn't really anything i dislike about it. It was a challenge for me to learn in the beginning but over the years, the software has become easier to use from an administrator standpoint Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our goal was to give endusers a tool at their finger tips to answer questions quickly and accruately instead of having to call a support desk and/or combing through documentation. In turn, this saves not only them time but also our support teams time so we can focus on more important issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lacey Butler of WalkMe

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, Krista! We love to hear about the success you've had with WalkMe, from helping your end-users complete processes more efficiently to freeing up valuable time for your support team to focus on other priorities 🎉

What do you like best about WalkMe?

With little to no coding experience, I was able to quickly learn WalkMe's interface and begin building complex solutions. As I have learned more about coding, specifically basic HTML and CSS, I have been able to further customize the user experience to better fit our company's branding. WalkMe has aided my team in building solutions to complex issues much sooner than our IT team has been able to troubleshoot the core issues saving hundreds of support tickets/customer support hours as well as boost sales with targeted experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

While there have been some functionalities that I feel are lacking, mainly with the reporting features, the WalkMe support team has been very receptive to feedback and some of our requested features have been added. For ones that have not been added, the WalkMe team has been able to help us build some custom options that help bridge the gap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

WalkMe is currently helping us mitigate customer support tickets by addressing errors our IT department are working to resolve as well as enabling sales-boosting workflows until we can build them natively into our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you for sharing your experiences :) We love to hear that you could quickly start building solutions that deliver notable impacts and results for your team and end users!

What do you like best about WalkMe?

At its core, the objective of WalkMe's on-screen guidance relates very closely to my childhood experience. I grew up with a rather large family, and was one of very few who took a great interest in technology and innovation, looking up to great minds, such as Walt Disney.

As my technical background began to develop, so too did the advancement of technology in the early 2000s, and I was always the one being pulled in to setup home entertainment systems, troubleshoot computer issues, and everything in between.

As we moved into the age of smartphones and a world where computers became a normalcy everywhere, I could have only dreamed of a technology that could eliminate the need for me to assist a family member with the same issues repeatedly, over and over again.

When I got the email in my organization that we were adopting this new technology called WalkMe and they needed someone with a technical background and a passion for helping others learn, I felt like I may have found my dream job.

So, I would say what I like the best about WalkMe is its ability to help others learn and become educated to do their jobs better, and to make their lives' a little bit easier. It is WalkMe's ability to help others achieve something that they may not have had the confidence in thinking they could, that makes it great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

I do not have too many quarrels with WalkMe, as most of the features I have thoughts about changing, typically end up being updated, as WalkMe is very good at adapting and keeping their Application relevant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Numerous issues ranging from:

• Educating Users on confusing processes that they are required to perform day-to-day.

• Reminding Users to perform certain tasks that keep us within compliance and regulations in our industry.

• Serving as a Hub to access information quicker and easier than going out to a Knowledge Base manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lacey Butler of WalkMe

Nicholas, thank you for sharing such a heartfelt story 💛 ! It’s inspiring to see how your passion for technology and helping others aligns so beautifully with what you're able to do with WalkMe to educate and empower users. We’re thrilled to hear how you've been able to use WalkMe to make a difference, from simplifying daily processes to streamlining information access – and that you've found your dream job :)

Your feedback means a lot to us, so thank you again for sharing. Here’s to your continued success!

What do you like best about WalkMe?

WalkMe is easy to setup in comparison with other Digital Adoption Platforms. Its content creation process is simple as well, allowing to bring training and automatization to the final users faster.

Their customer support is excelent as well, with a quick follow-up process and experts available any time of the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WalkMe?

There is yet to be an abundance of topics in the community forum, with best practices from one WalkMe user to another. However, WalkMe community is growing with each passing day, which assures me that it's only a matter of time for it to get bigger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WalkMe solving and how is that benefiting you?

There is a lack of user involvement in traditional training, with complains of training being hard to find or follow. This situation significantly slowers their performance.

With WalkMe being an on top of the browser tool, we have made training accessible to the users, with use cases that are relevant to them.

On the other side, WalkMe has also improved our approach to analytics. Its Insight Platform allow us to identify pain points in our processes, encouraging us to analyze them and do continuous improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lacey Butler of WalkMe

Thank you for your detailed review! We're delighted to hear that you've found WalkMe easy to set up and to create impactful content for your users – and I'll definitely pass the feedback about your support experiences to the team 🙏 (I'm biased, but I think they're pretty excellent too :))

Firstly, I'm glad to hear that you're active in the Community! For best practices and advice, I definitely recommend exploring the topic-specific user groups and events (specifically the DAP Pro Show, which features DAP Pros sharing their advice and real-world examples) – and we're always looking for ways to bring more great content and resources into the forums to help you get even more out of WalkMe.

It's also wonderful to hear that our Insights Platform is helping you identify and improve process pain points – if *you* ever want to speak at one of our community events, we'd love to have you 🎊

Thanks again for sharing your experience!
