First of all, the company is top notch to work with. They are extremely helpful and professional when getting your company ready to use the software. VisualVault has made many improvements in the last couple of years to make the user experience easier to use. The version control process is much easier and faster than it was in the past. The VV team moved all of our documents from SharePoint into VV with our help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The permissions were somewhat difficult to set up but once they were in place it was fairly easy to change them when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Started using VisualVault last year and I think it was an easy and comfortable experience. Not being very tech savvy, the platform gives me comfort to undo things easily and I like the simplicity of it. I use the platform every week and it never breaks or buffers. I think sometimes there are two many steps to download files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is helpful to have hands on capability to review staff's files to ensure all competencies are completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pending competencies that are not signed off require constant reminders and re-launching of the same competency. It may be helpful to have automatic reminders each week for staff to complete whatever wave is pending. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The folder structure of Visual Vault is easy to use, managing users and security works well, the link between hardcopy scanning/holding with GRM and seeing it on VV is really the biggest value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having to pay monthly per user is a high cost and doesn't match the current industry standard of unlimited users, as well as having to pay monthly for the capability to upload our own documents to VV with OCR (ability to be searched/copied and pasted). As things become more and more electronic and hard copies become more obsolete, this should be a functionality included in every competitive electronic document management platform. We pay $500/month for this capability (for very low volume) which is outrageous. Most of all, not having the ability to easily bulk download documents from VV is by far the biggest issue. I am aware that this functionality somewhat exists but A. it costs extra money ($5K configuation fee and $500/month) and B. users have to download third party software to be able to use it. Both of those things are unacceptable as the included ability to natively bulk download directly from the platform is industry standard at this point. Without these very common and necessary features VV is not a product I could recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that we have a secure place to keep our documents. It is the goal of our office to have as little physical paper on the premises as possible. VV was great about picking up many boxes of files and scanning them all in for us. That is a project that would have taken us months. VV has allowed us to continue to upload our files as they are created in order to avoid the back log. It also helps to have one central location where all of our employees can access documents when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main downside to VV for me is just some small technical things. For example- you can't delete multiple files at one time. When I do delete a document in a folder- it clears any filters I had set. Nothing major- just some minor annoyances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
VisualVault is very easy to use. With minimal training and orientation, new users can begin using the platform almost immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is really nothing to dislike about VisualVault. It is a very well thought out, useful solution that functions in a very straightforward and logical manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Efficient collection of physical documents, reliable upload, strategic indexing, modern platform aesthetics, easy searches, value for money,
quick retrieval of physical documents, site development is user-friendly, dedicated support, facilitates remote/ hybrid/ telecommuting work arrangements. Seamlessly integrated into LAS systems - documents can be exported directly into LawManager. Used daily. Initial implementation was thorough- video readily available on site. Training of new users is simple. Buffered our team from exposure to Covid-19 during the pandemic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Checks & docs go thru a few layers before getting to recipient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
