Most companies try to sell that concept that they are a 'partner' but most aren't. Virtuous is a true partner. The employees are invested in helping organizations increase philanthropy and engagement and it is demonostated through their work and the product they have created/ continue to enhance. Tier 1 support is lacking in knowlege of non-profit work and the Virtuous system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Look and feel of Virtuous, It is continuing to grow with the industry and hasn't stopped at it's initial implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search feature has never really worked well. I'd love to see that improved when looking up a donor record. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Virtuous supports more personalized donor engagement, enhanced volunteer tracking, and human-centric communication. Virtuous has helped us to stay organized and to engage with our donors in a more personalized, responsive manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The conversion from our old system was a bit more cumbersome than anticipated, however, the customer support is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I first started working with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Ocoee Region, we were using DonorPerfect. It is a powerful program for sure, but the interface is not at all intuitive. Even after 2 years of using it, I found my self dreading having to open it ever day. And then we switched to Virtuous. The clean, simple, refined and intuitive interface is literally a JOY to use every day. And make no mistake: behind that pretty face is a POWERFUL platform. I have my Virtuous Administrator Certification, but I still learn more and more all the time ... little tips and tricks that still make me go, "WOW!" And the more I learn, the more impressed I become. But, I also have to give credit for my positive experience to the Virtuous staff. Everyone -- every single person -- I've ever worked with has been knowledgable, friendly, and eager to help (even, maybe especially, when the problems I run into are my own dumb mistakes). And having previously worked as the e-Learning Architect for the nation's largest independently owned skilled nursing & rehab company, I can say that Virtuous has done a truly impressive job with their Virtuous Academy training. No platform is perfect, but I haven't found very many things about Virtuous that I would change. For me, the biggest may be how they seem to handle pledges. I'd love to be able to send pledge reminders right from within the software (the same simple way I generate gift receipts), but instead I have to do those manually. I've created my own system to make that a little easier, but it will never be as efficient as a one-click "Send pledge reminder/invoice." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Virtuous does a great job of relationship management, tracking and receipting gifts, and helping with responsive fundraising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The mobile app has very limited functionality and the reporting / tracking functions have a steep learning curve. Base functionality of the system is solid, but in order to unlock more robust features you'll pay thousands extra per year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great functionality. There is so much depth to the system in what it can do that it is amazing, but can also be daunting to think about at times. Overall it is easy to use but after 4 years of use, I still need help with querying sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Implemetation was quite rocky for my organization. Only having email tech support is a downer, as some issues we have encountered are hard to explain in words. I feel like we talk in circles sometimes trying to explain before the Virtuous team understands what we are saying. This increases downtime and takes up emloyees time. Virtuous has several nice features. Many of these features can be useful for more mature non-profits with technical prowess and experience. In theory, assuming everything works as promised, you could have everything under one roof (CRM, Fundraising, Donor Management)...but everything has to work properly. Their online giving forms do not work with some top webhosting providers. The backend software is dated and does not live up to the sales team's promises.
They misled us during the sales process and then were slow to respond when we ran into issues. And they compeltely ignored emails several times for several days at a time.
Once we realized Virtuous had misrepresented their capabilities, we asked them multiple times to not cash our check - which had, unfortunately, already been sent in the mail. We were going to put a stop payment on the check, but we thought "what company would cash a check after being asked/told not to?" Virtuous, that's who.
They ignored multiple requests, cashed it anyway and refused to return the funds for over a month. We had to get our attorney involved and reached out directly to an executive to finally get them to take action and send back our money. The lack of integrity was extreemly dissapointing and, frankly, shocking. And the lost time, energy and effort was really staggering.
The Virtuous name seems like a misnomer - at least from our experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the ease of use of this CRM. Great customer service, easy reporting tools. I especially like the customer service. Virtuous offers great training tools, webinars and virtual and live events to train on Virtuous and to help with all of your fundraising goals! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't anything i can think of at the moment. What is great about Virtuous is they listen to their users, and they keep improving based on the user experience feedback! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Virtuous is a fully functional CRM customized to the needs to nonprofits. The best part is it's highly functional yet very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can lack flexibility sometimes. Receipting is a bit clunky, and Events need to be built out more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
