I also feel like there are a lot of functions that my team is not actively using, so we need to make time to lean in and find all of the functions that could help. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?** The roll out from DBV to NXT has been excutiating for all concerned. It has taken longer, and we have all essentially been beta testers to a raw product, which builds in suspicion and fatique among users. I fear that the move from DBV will involve losing some flexibility and functionalioty that we depend on in DBV due to decisions made by the developers (such as not moving over the Mail function which I use all the time, or the solicit codes which is not the same as permissions). Much is being promised but there is natural skepticism in the user community due to how long and painful this 10 year process has been **What problems is Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT solving and how is that benefiting you?** we need a CRM and we know NXT is the future so we are embracing it. We have reviewed other products and the price point for migrating is very high so we are giving this product a better try to see if all of the promised features help. I receive great feedback from fundraisers at my organization regarding RE NXT's ease of use and efficiency for their purposes. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?** Although I know RE is still in a transitional phase and that there is more to come in unified view, there are some critical functionalities still missing in web view. This presents challenges for those of us who perform the bulk of our work in the database. For example, one of the main pain points for our organization is the lack of a robust tributes tile in constituent records. Features like this are critical for us and many other organizations. Still, I recognize and appreciate that unified view is a work in progress. NXT makes tasks like adding actions, creating opportunities, etc. simpler and less intimidating for them. The ease and accessibility of Lists also empowers them to quickly gather information on their own without always having to use queries. While several of us are comfortable with RE's more complex functionalities--myself included--others need simpler tools to feel comfortable performing daily tasks, so I'm glad they have the option to do so. ### 3. Prompts provided don’t yet work and it does not always work correctly and does not yet save time for officers. **What problems is Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT solving and how is that benefiting you?** NXT is really helpoing our officers better utilize the platform to help them manage their prospects. The relatively new NXT view (our old view was database view) is much more intinuitive and is customizable per officer so they can set it up in a way that works best for them. Having a platform they can easily use to enter their actions and proposals makes it easier for my team, prospect and data management, to produce dashbaords that effectively display our progress and areas of improvement. ### 6. Their stated goal is to end the database version (RE7) by the end of 2027 and they seem to be on track (so far) with making sure that NXT can do everything that the database version does. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?** I don't like NXT any less than before - some of the shortcomings have been addressed and more features are being released. **What problems is Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT solving and how is that benefiting you?** NXT allows us to do all that we do in raising money for our institution. From pulling various lists for targeted mailings to being able to report on gifts and progress towards goals as well as individual solicitor's/fundraiser's goals and activities - we could not do our job as a department without it. Gift officers can create dashboards and lists of donors in their portfolio, and if visiting a donor at their home, not only pull up maps and directions, but see a street view of the donor's home. Notes can be added to a donor record immediately after the meeting while the details are still fresh. As a cloud-based app, users are limited only by their internet access. ### 7. I come from a relatively small alumni relations and development team (around 15 full time staff members total), and although I started mu role as an traditional user, I have come to rely on NXT for EVERYTHING! I send many emails through their built in communications platform, am the primary user for donation forms, build many constituent lists, monitor and update relevant dashboards, add actions and attachments, and the list seems to go on and on! They build something out 90%, release it, and call it good, but miss transitioning the remaining 10% of features that users need to be successful. Blackbaud does release new innovations to the web view that are otherwise unavailable in database view, however. So, you win some but lose some. Hopefully they will successfully transition everything over to the web based platform in time. Customer support is also deteriorating over time as they plan to move all tech support to India, and to people that have never used the platform in their day to day lives. **What problems is Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has made it easier for our front line fundraisers to navigate their portfolios and do simple data entry into the database. Being a private high school, we have current students, alumnae, their parents, plus donors not necessarily affiliated with those groupings. We can track the alum school information so we can drill down to specific years for current parents or alumnae. Tracking organizations separately from individuals is also key so we can track our corporate sponsors and other groups. **What do you dislike about Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT?** The biggest negative I have is the cost. While we have a package, it is still costly for being a private school. Additionally, for things like the events module or tribute module, those are all extras and not necessarily inexpensive but yet necessary for many non-profits.
