Having worked with a few payout providers, the key trait that stands out to me is Tipalti's unwavering commitment to helping their customers. I receive quick responses from their basic support team, and for more escalated matters, my appointed account manager, and sometimes even the CEO (!) have jumped into a discussion with me. Working in tech, I expect problems to happen from time to time. But the speed at which the entire Tipalti team works to provide answers and clear solutions makes all the difference. It's a horrible customer experience when you're trying to work with your payout provider and they seem disconnected and disingenuous to provide a solution. Tipalti is the opposite of that. I feel like they invest in our company, and they receive my customer loyalty in return.
I think Tipalti is also pretty easy to use once you get the hang of the internal vernacular and formatting, unlike with some programs that still don't feel very instinctual after learning the basics. There are some more complex payout rules I'd like to incorporate into our payout routine which is not yet possible. In a perfect world Tipalti could do pay-ins and payouts, so I wouldn't need another PSP for this, but maybe one day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tipalti automates a lot of our procure to pay workflow. Previously our accounts payable team spent a lot of time coding invoices and chasing approvals. Tipalti enables us to control spend with clear approval flows, while also reducing speeding up bill processing, which means quicker payments for our suppliers. Tipalti's Supplier Hub also reduces queries from suppliers as they can easily view the status of a bill or payment. Since procurement and accounts payable are two separate modules, there is sometimes a lack of cohesiveness between the two, as they must be administered seperately. I would also like a more streamlined way to reconcile Tipalti wallets - it would be great if Tipalti could leverage its ERP integrations and provide a direct bank feed for bank reconciliations. Our vendors truly like the supplier portal for tracking their invoices, but also for the ability to update their information. The portal has also reduced email traffic by allowing vendors to update their own information. Our approvers also enjoy the more streamlined process Tipalti offers in contrast to an older outdated process followed before we moved to Tipalti. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The recent new screen implementation in the AP Hub was terrible when it was first deployed. The custom fields would routinely time out and seems like the flow slowed tremendously. It is a great tool, but it does have a few drawbacks. There’s a bit of a learning curve for new users, and customization options are somewhat limited. Additionally, while the AI-powered data capture is helpful, it occasionally misinterprets information, so there’s room for improvement there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Tipalti integrated with our new royalties platform to streamilne the process of updating bank details and paying our royalty recipients. The implementation of the royalties platform itself was difficult, and was totally saved by the amazing Tipalti implementation team.
The platform itself is really easy to navigate around, and it's easy to find information on previous payments. We were able to customise the exports from Tipalti to import the information into our now outdated finance system. We went from taking months to process our 700+ royalty payments, to hours.
Following our great experience with the payments platform, we expanded to the procurement platform, which has also greatly improved our purchasing process, further reducing time taken to make payment runs, and improving the quality of the data we have regarding purchases. Some features about the procurement system are rather restrictive in how they can be set up, rendering them not as useful as we initially thought. System speed can also be a bit slow. However, the core functionality works great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
what I love best about Tipalti is that it automatically syncs with Netsuite. I used to have to uploads which very aggrevating and time consuming. In addition, the support team is quite helpful when you run into issue. We use Tipalit every single day and the best part about it is that its easy to use. A few downsides are that if you need to retract a bill then you have to wait for a sync which is like 15 minutes to correct the error. Another issue is when there is a sync error you that says "Contact Tipalti support". A lot of the times I could make the fix myself but I have to reach out to find out what it is which consumes time. other than that it is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Simple and efficient bill approval workflow including a full audit log of the transaction.
- Supplier portal gives payees the ability to update their company information and payment details themselves.
- Tipalti's AI and machine learning features do begin to auto-populate bill fields after the information is manually coded a few times.

- Making payment batches which include bill credits is rather complicated and time consuming from a user perspective.
- Some of our payees have voiced frustration that each instance has a unqiue supplier portal meaning they need to maintain separate login details for each portal they are registered with.

Prior to Tipalti, we were working from our inbox and hoping that we caught every invoice and paid them on time. Spoiler alert: this resulted in many late payments to suppliers and frustrated customers who were affected. Tipalti allowed us to establish an actual process of reviewing invoices, putting them in a queue based on due date, tracking payments, sharing the status of said payments through the portal, and giving our team access to centralized information.
In addition, we now have full control over our own funding and currency conversion instead of managing confusing forward contracts and risking big swings.
