The ability to act on real time data on thousands of users to downstream vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of data enrichments that you can do. Everything is based on wizard based enrichments that only touch the basics of what you might want to do. You're mainly forced to update the data in TiQ and send the pre-enriched value into AudienceStream to avoid the frustration of that UI and lack of capabilities.
I wish there was an integration between EventStream and AudienceStream to share data.
Building rules is cumbersome and they need to add support for nested conditions.
Audience searching is useless in the UI. It takes forever and rarely returns what you think it should. Modern tools that have data sitting in ElasticSearch are able to get you immediate results for the data you're querying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
EventStream, in combination with its suite of products, can remove any Personal Health Information (PHI) or Personal Identifying Information (PII) from your analytics and ensure your data analytics is protected and HIPAA compliant. Their platform is a game-changer for our data analytics . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a very steep learning curve of their product suite, but once your team is up-to-speed, there is no other suite of products more robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to create new attributes and transform the data in meaningful ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Limitations in rule creation, like being unable to combine an "OR" statement inside an "AND" or vice versa. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform provides a lot of flexibility with defining custom segments to create and define audiences which can be utilized to power our marketing campaigns immediately after event data comes into the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Too many event attributes within the system may bog down the UI, and bulk-editing items may require special tools or assistance which isn't directly accessible within the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It provides a lot of versatility because it's not bound to a specific platform like Google or Adobe. Also, the history change view that looks like Github version control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because of the flexibility, it is way harder to make implementations that are otherwise simple and straightforward in Google Tag Manager. Also, the UI/UX is just bad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tealium does a great job of integrating third-party tagging solutions (marketing, analytics, commerce, etc.) into one, easy to use application that ensures synchronous results across the board. I really like that Tealium has pre-integrated with nearly all of the partners we are already using which makes integration very quick and easy. Tealium support is top notch and having a "person" to talk to rather than using online discussion boards (like GTM) has always been the big plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost is hard to justify both internally and to our clients. Especially when there are other solutions like Google Tag Manager which are free and are improving quickly. It will be hard to continue to pay for Tealium unless they are able to roll out additional features that are not additional cost, as we have had many clients trial the platform but decided to stick with the free version of GTM for the time being. Using Tealium as our data lake foundation has been straightforward to set up and use without writing custom code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve can be a bit steep when initially setting up Tealium. I recommend the training sessions and help from the Tealium team to understand the different sections within the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of creating attributes, audiences,, and connectors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The need for data access to analyze audience information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The myriad possibilities of segmenting, activating, analyzing audiences, and the DIY element that comes with it, is the best components. We are not limited by "the borders" of the software in the different ways we want to connect data. The API library is incredibly wast; it doesn't let you down. Even if there is no OOB connector per se, there is always a way to make it happen, albeit via simple coding using existing Tealium protocols or raising a request to the support team to roll out the bespoke data connector. I work with a team that manages the product implementation for us. The interface and the functionalities look a bit intimidating. I currently don't even dare touch it before having completed my Tealium certifications. I sometimes want to dip my toes in the water to explore, but I always got anxious about "breaking" the system if I pressed the wrong button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
