Tealium’s Customer Data Hub is solving a major headache for us, disconnected data. Earlier, we had customer data scattered across multiple tools and platforms, which made it really hard to get a full picture of our users or run any real-time personalization And I'm using Day to day and Ease of use and Integration was easy. What I like most about Tealium Customer Data Hub is how it helps bring together customer data from multiple disconnected sources into one unified, real-time system. In most organizations, data is scattered across websites, apps, CRM systems, and marketing platforms, which makes it difficult to get a clear and consistent view of the customer journey. Tealium solves this problem very effectively by centralizing everything into a single customer profile.

What really stands out for me is the ability to activate data in real time. Once customer interactions are captured, the data can immediately be used across marketing, analytics, and personalization tools without heavy engineering dependency. This has significantly improved the speed and efficiency of campaign execution.

The platform also offers a strong integration ecosystem, making it easy to connect with multiple downstream tools without complex custom development. This flexibility has helped reduce dependency on multiple point solutions and has simplified overall data management.

Another key benefit is the improvement in data consistency and accuracy across channels. With unified profiles and real-time updates, it becomes much easier to run targeted campaigns and deliver more relevant customer experiences.

What Tealium Customer Data Hub solves for me is the challenge of dealing with fragmented customer data spread across multiple platforms like websites, apps, CRM tools, and marketing channels. Earlier, it was difficult to get a single, consistent view of the customer journey, and a lot of time was spent on manually connecting and reconciling data.

With Tealium, all of this is unified into one real-time system, which makes it much easier to understand customer behavior in a structured way. The ability to build a single customer profile and activate that data instantly across different tools has been a major improvement.

From a practical standpoint, it has helped reduce dependency on multiple integrations and manual processes. Campaigns can now be executed faster, targeting is more accurate, and data consistency across channels has improved significantly. It has also made collaboration between marketing and analytics teams much smoother since everyone is working off the same source of truth.

Overall, it has improved efficiency, reduced operational complexity, and enabled more data-driven and timely decision-making.

I have been using the Tealium Customer Data Hub now for more than a year within a very small team and one of the things that I enjoy most is how it consolidates multiple sources of data into one location and maintains the data in a real-time and central place. As a result, it is much easier to access a complete customer profile with no manual data collection from different systems. I also find that setting up integration points between marketing, analytics, and CRM tools is easy; therefore, I save a lot of time during these processes as well. The activation of customer segments across multiple channels flows easily, and this has assisted me with personalizing my campaigns more effectively. The user interface is clear and reasonably intuitive; so, once you become accustomed to it, the data management and navigation are seamless and quick.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

When you're a regular user (like myself) there may be some features that appear rather technical when initially introduced, and creating new rules or using advanced segments require assistance or trial-and-error; although dashboards and reporting tools are useful, they are somewhat difficult to configure for a non-techie, as those are the ones most often used.. Sometimes when working with a significant amount of data it takes longer than expected to process; however this will not prevent you from doing your job every day.

Tealium allowed us to create one unified repository of our customer data from many different sources, thus solving the problem of how to get a single view of all of our customers. Through real-time unification and integration with our marketing and analytics tools we have been able to quickly activate our audiences and create relevant experiences with our campaigns. This has also resulted in a large reduction in the amount of time spent managing campaigns, less errors, and greater efficiency in executing campaigns. Finally, having consistent messaging across all channels has created a better overall customer experience and made it easier for us to make data-driven decisions based on dependable and up-to-date information.

I find it to be very solid platform, offering some of the best in-house tools for use such as the client side TiQ platform, EventStream, AudienceStream, and also the other tools that are being introduced, such as MemoryIQ. 

It's pretty universal, which makes it great for clients to use and integrate into their existing MarTech Stack

I think the thing I least dislike is the complexity of the platform itself. It does require some degree of knowledge in terms of script, and understanding how to unify everything together. So coming from a marketing perspective, it's not as easy to just jump in.

Currently, our main functionality with it is for the Tag Management side of things, but recently have integrated more into the CDP side. So far its been very useful when it comes to building out audiences. It's been useful w/connector action, and helps to send data/audiences downstream for effective activation.

I really appreciate the real-time unification and activation power with Tealium Customer Data Hub, and it's the number one feature for me. The combination of AudienceStream and EventStream is genuinely strong, allowing me to create and activate sophisticated audiences in real time. This capability is a game-changer for personalization and retargeting effectiveness. I also like the broad connector library, which is a major reason we chose Tealium over other alternatives. AudienceStream and EventStream work together as a powerful one-two punch; EventStream handles data collection and processing, and AudienceStream turns raw data into actionable customer profiles and real-time decisions. EventStream is great for reliable, high-volume data collection and server-side power, collecting events from various sources and then transforming, enriching, and routing them in real time.

This is by far the biggest hurdle. Even with prior experience in tag management and some technical background on the team, getting everything configured correctly took us months. Defining attributes, building rules in AudienceStream, setting up transformations in EventStream, and mapping connectors isn't intuitive if you're not already comfortable with data layers, JSON, and complex logic. New team members still need significant training and hand-holding. It feels more like a developer-oriented platform than a marketer-friendly one in many areas. If your team lacks dedicated technical resources, this can slow adoption dramatically.

The ceiling is so high in terms of Tealium's capabilities.  Their tool set is robust.  There can be a learning curve as with any software, but once you get the hang of it, there's just so much you can accomplish.

Tealium CDH has a steep learning curve for many.  It's not that the tools are unintuitive, rather, there's some degree of abstract reasoning required to fully understand what's happening under the hood.

What distinguishes the Tealium Customer Data Hub for me is the AudienceStream feature, which enabled us to build 360-degree profiles of our customers in a way we never imagined before. I love how we can send personalized messages or target customers with ads instantly when they take certain actions. Also, the Tealium iQ feature has greatly facilitated our work, as instead of waiting for the programming team to add new tracking code, the marketing team can do it easily and quickly with the click of a button. The speed of execution and independence in managing codes are among the most prominent benefits achieved thanks to this feature.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

The platform is not easy for beginners as the user interface is complex and contains multiple technical options, making the learning curve steep at the beginning. We needed several weeks of training to understand how to use the platform correctly. The high cost makes it a significant investment that requires a clear data strategy. The technical documents are sometimes complex and difficult to understand for non-programmers. The preview and testing speed is sometimes slow, and I wish there was a more responsive preview tool. The cost of some advanced add-ons is high, making it difficult for medium-sized companies to fully benefit from the platform.

I really like the massive integration marketplace because it has many prebuilt connectors, allowing me to link up a new marketing tool in minutes without needing custom API code. I also love the trace tool which lets me see exactly how a user's profile is being stitched together in real time, making troubleshooting much easier. The rule engine is a lifesaver, enabling us to create complex audience logic without writing code. The way Tealium handles cross-device identity stitching is pretty seamless compared to other CDPs I've tried. Plus, its ability to handle high data volumes during peak traffic, like Black Friday, without lagging is a huge relief for the team. These features make me a force multiplier, launching new tools and segments quickly without waiting for engineering support, and they give me total confidence in our data accuracy during high-traffic sales, saving me time and making our targeting effective.

I believe if you are using this for web, you will be very happy with the product. It is pretty user friendly, but with the use of AI coming, it will only get better from here.

Sometimes I think that there are areas where it is not the most helpful or not as innovative. For instance when it comes to mobile apps. Very flexible with what can be done in the system.  There are a ton of features which means many use cases have been thought through.  There are also lots of integrations, so there is likely native support for many services.  Customer Support is great - they are responsive and help me solve issues when I get stuck

Expensive - the cost of Tealium is prohibitive for smaller companies who may need some of the features for legal reasons; learning curve is steep and requires a lot of technical knowledge for coding.  Need to use the service in order to get access to training.

We need to have a privacy-forward system that is HIPAA compliant.  Tealium has a system that is great for helping us customize our website data collection.  I have lots of options for controlling what is collected, making sure our data isn't going to systems outside of our locus of control.

The visitor stitching feature is the smoothest capability I’ve seen in a Customer Data Platform. TRACE and Visitor Lookup are excellent, but Tealium’s rules and enrichments wouldn’t mean much without the events platform feeding into Visitor Stitching.

Debugging can be challenging at times because I don’t always have easy access to the logs. I also really need a better tool for moving changes from one profile to another.

**What do you like best about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

I love how Tealium Customer Data Hub transforms data from the raw source to different tools we have inside the software. It's very good because we get rid of working time, and we don't need time to transform data. I also like how we can manipulate this data inside the tool. The integrations with emails are great because we can't keep up with all customer's data otherwise. With the software, it's very easy now.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

I would say integrations with Odoo EPR. Because, for example, we get some customers' information but not everything. And, unfortunately, we don't have some really good tools to do the integrations. So I would love to see more, more progress on that side. So mainly integration with ERPs.

**What problems is Tealium Customer Data Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Tealium Customer Data Hub to integrate different tools and centralize customer information securely. It eliminates paper needs, gives us all information in one place, and makes it easier for the IT team to manage everything, and also it's simpler to get analytics and insights.

**What do you like best about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

It’s easy to bring customer data in and get customer data out, and there are wide marketplace connectors available. The tracing capabilities also make it quick to debug issues when they come up. On top of that, I appreciate the proactive innovation and how well it keeps up with industry trends.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

There is currently no error log available, and there’s also no alerting in place if something goes wrong with the data flow. For example, if for any reason my tags and CAPI are put on hold and nothing is firing, I end up hearing about it from my vendor partners rather than from Tealium.

**What problems is Tealium Customer Data Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps organize real-time customer data, making it easier to manipulate and synthesize it, and then activate it in real time to build customer trust and deliver personalized, curated experiences.

TiQ and Audience Stream. Customer Support is great. This helped removing the GTM and the website traffic is directly fed into Tealium. IVA data and data orchestration is cool.

Nothing as yet. We took almost 18 months to started Tealium in its capacity. We are more to do with Tealium and so it is  bit early to say as what is my dislike.

website traffic, market data, HCP data all were in different places. Tealium helps to collect all, orchestrate it and create audiences. This tool is going to be a game changer in our orgainzation.

**What do you like best about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

Tealium has an incredible capacity, sorting and arranging relevant and valuable customer inputs, which can aid in the knowledge of your most precious asset. The information collected, can be shared in an easy flowing way, that can add value to the team, and its objectives. It automates what had to be done before, when trying to gain customer knowledge. Customer support could be better, but they at least have the patience to attend the user's questions.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

The learning curve is steep, and this can result in resistance during its implementation. Because this is not a widely implemented software solution where I work, ikt can be hard to find people who comfortably start using Tealium since day/week 1. This can also impact on the integration of Tealium throughout the company, particularly amongst older collaborators, who are less fluent in new technologies. The frequency of use can be hindered due to the fact that this software can lead to users making mistakes, leading to frequent re-logins needed/occurring.

**What problems is Tealium Customer Data Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Today, there is a plethora of data sources, which makes following leads, information, and updates, amongst others, VERY difficult and time consuming. Siloing is also an issue, that can compromise the value proposition of data collected, making, sometimes, the enormous job of getting to know the intricacies of your customers. Through Tealium, we can unify the view of our customers into one continuous horizon, with little to no losses, and most importantly, while being accurate in the collection of valuable, marketable information. Workflows are automated, and "data cleaning" is also simplified. All this results in having up to date, reliable and verifiable information, the latter being one of the most important requirements, when using the data to recah out to your/our customers.

It helps target customers for the best profit by making sure they’re reached based on their profile and what they like or dislike, which supports retention. It’s also easy to use and straightforward to implement.

I haven’t found any reason not to like CDH. I’m also not sure why this section requires 150 characters about things you dislike—it feels like it’s prompting negative feedback.

**What problems is Tealium Customer Data Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Assisting with tagging proper customers for things that relate to their customer profile. Cost savings in ad cost. Assist with customer retention as the information is appropriate for said customer.

I need to understand the workings with the different sponsors - from AWS, Linkedin, Epsilon, and others, how the fee structures are made to manage for the point of view of the CFO.

Using data from the point of view for marketing and operations and increase the EBITDAs for the company.  It is an important tool for customer retention and analytics without compromising privacy.

Tealium enables the marketing team to self-serve without relying on IT, thanks to its point-and-click interface. This is especially efficient for POCs, with faster turnaround times and an easier way to test ideas.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

Mapping out all data sources and building a data foundation that can be trusted is a huge project and can take months rather than weeks. So if you’re looking for a quick win, you may often feel frustrated and see less value than you expected.

**What problems is Tealium Customer Data Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

True real-time actionability. If a customer abandons a shopping cart, Tealium can trigger a personalized email or notification within milliseconds, while the consumer is still online. It’s not like some other vendors that rely on batch processing and only refresh a few times a day, which isn’t truly real time.

It isn't easy to export my existing customer profiles to a 3rd party platform. Somewhat difficult, it requires a steep learning curve.

It’s nice that it can be adaptable for those you know how to use extensive JS code vs using the WYSISWG interface which is very easy to understand and when using JS extension you can now search on words in the code that might not be in the UDO.

**What do you dislike about Tealium Customer Data Hub?**

Finding out all the new features which can be daunting at times. Would enjoy an easier path to figuring out what each component does and maybe how it would apply to our current workflow. Perhaps AI would help with all that.

**What problems is Tealium Customer Data Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streaming analytics so that it’s much easier to figure out what is derived vs explicitly sent. It’s very easy to look up how things are mapped with the marketplace tags available.
