StatSocial can target audiences that no other vendor/partner can. Social media targeting is great for getting customers of specific brands as well as reaching specific job titles and those hard to reach/niche audiences. StatSocial also has effective affiliations. We have had particular success with targeting owners ofspecific car brands. Last but certainly not least, StatSocial has tremendous customer support. The team is responsive, helpful and transparent. There is no company size or company revenue targeting which are common parameters for many of our studies. We have also had many frequent trouble shooting issues, particularly slow loading times for generating and delivering audiences. When this happens, I have to email the team and wait for the issue to be resolved. The new insights report design is somewhat clunky. I find it easier to download the reports as an Excel document and navigate in there. I also wish that StatSocial could build an audience based on Instagram and TikTok followers rather than just engagers. StatSocial has been one of our key data partners in the Consumer space for 5+ years. The entire team which includes the Leadership, Data and delivery teams are very approachable and easy to work with. We primarily leverage them to get data & insights using Social Media Affinities. Over the years, they have continuously brought improvements and numerous updates to their data feeds which has further enhance the value which can be derived using their data.

I would like to see definitions for the personas and personality insights that the platform provides. Sometimes I can get a general understanding of what the terms could mean, but sometimes they are vague and difficult to decipher (e.g. "Infinite Monkeys and a Typewriter"). I like how easy it is to pull data from statsocial, and how applicable/flexible it is across industries and types of social media. I like the breadth of information available on statsocial and the summary graphics page, which is visually very helpful. The customer service team is always very responsive. I wish that Statsocial had clearer labels. I have to email sometimes to understand what certain sections or personalities mean (e.g., B2B, personas). I also think that down the road it would be helpful to have "pre-set" audiences in stat-social. For example, if I want to look at a sustainability audience specifically, I could filter on for all of the relevant variables for sustainability across sections instead of parsing manually through each section to find what I need. I feel like the platform is still young in some ways. It can be a little frustrating when the platform doesn't reflect accurate numbers at times and needs to be refreshed. My only other issue is their FAQ and partner integration with Live Ramp. My experience with this wasn't great, and I feel like there should be more documentation on which partners integrate and how to do integrate for a seamless customer experience. The unease with some of the search options, if we're looking for a brand but don't have the exact user it'd be nice if we could still search for the company for instance if the Instagram account is Nordstrom but the user handle is NordstromUS it might not always populate. StatSocial offers powerful audience intelligence. The audience recipe options are extensive and, in the rare instances where I don't find what I need, the customer service team is always available for a quick workaround. There is a bit of mystry around how StatSocial's proprietary technology works that dappers the usefulness of their data. Their costing model also can be rather limiting as there is a high-cost of entry to useing their services, which limits our ability to scale our services to new clients — particularly those with more modests research budgets (Which I understand, but it limits what we're able to do with them).
