Very user friendly. we mostly as using for warehouse layout. having the ability to make cutomized shapes, move things around with a simple click and drag. layering parts of the drawing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of ability to do 3D drawings. not able to keep grid marks static whether zooming in or out. Would be nice to have the ability to import CAAD drawings to get shell and columns of building properly laid out as a starting point. Training does not meet my expectations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like it because it<s very easy to use and we can upload our plan from other software like Visio or other. We can also just copy-paste any image from the web and resize. You can work in cloud mode or locally with the software which is good if you want to work offline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because I do a lot of video patch plan, I need to do wiring between the different item on my sheet. Sometimes it's hard to do a clean job because the lines placement is not really efficient. It<s hard to find the good way to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With the diversity of templates and drafting options, there's definitely something to meet whatever your objectives or non-functional requirements are. Starting new documents takes a few clicks more than I'm used to, though. Their customer support is responsive, which is nice. I use it several times a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find that drawing lines and objects requires a bit more finesse than I expected. Getting text to land exactly where I want in a screen is tricky too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
SmartDraw is effective, easy to use, and there is a wealth of online information and tutorials to answer specific questions as to its functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no downside to SmartDraw that I can determine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pricing model is great for larger organizations. If you are migrating from Visio or LucidChart, the import function it great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Permissions can be a little confusing if you are setting up enterprise team folders. Also, there doesn't appear to be a way to leverage 365 as a backup of the files; they have to live in SmartDraw or 365 directly. They don't have a whiteboarding feature yet, but I have been told it in the near future as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Can share the library, PDF included when I need to print. Able to import Visio plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The connector lines don't, sometimes, follow when I snap the object. I have to use polygon lines. I can't do multiple lines, I have to click on the "line'' icon each time I draw a line. The system always returns to the "select" icon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find Smartdraw to be very user friendly with most users able to just step in and begin diagramming with little learning curve. The featureset is excellent and rivals the other big players. So far we have found their customer support to be excellent, having helped us to make the implementation easy and integration into our tech stack very straight forward.
We went from having a subset of our users using our old diagramming tool to saving over 50% while expanding to a site license so anyone in our organization can use it now. You can't beat that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really not much to dislike about Smatdraw. I am finding that there are no real moments of "I wish it could do...." so far as I think of anything I could reasonably ask of, it is supported in Smartdraw with a robus template library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use. A lot of different other applications to choose from as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when I'm working on a drawing it will boot me out of it and say someone else is in the drawing and it doesn't seem like there actually is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
