I use the Signal AI web app everyday for my job gathering insights. I can easily get my searches based on what I want to know about, based on my report requests, either by typing in keywords or making use of the trained entities, which will capture even more streamlined content. The latest updates make it even better and ease my job — the new AskAIQ feature complements the web app, where you gather relevant news and insights effortless just by asking questions to the chatbot, saving you time while keeping you informed, since it directly tells what you need to know. Plus, the theme landscape tool helps make sense of large media sets, giving a clear overview of trends, which for me is particularly useful since I have reports that go up to one year timefram. It was very easy to learn and easy to implement methodologies using the platform, and integrate in your team. As in all applications existing, there are still ongoing improvements and developments in need, like the integration of social media for example. Signal AI doest just tell me where my organisation is but it also tells me what people are thinking about it and whether these conversations and mentions are trending in the right direction. I really like that Signal AI provides the ability to run comprehensive searches on all of the media coverage out there (online or on LexisNexis) on a given topic, company or competitor. I also really enjoy the dashboards feature. It really helps visualize what the most popular topics of interests are and where a company may stack up against it's competitors in regards to how it is being referred to in the media. Sometimes it can be difficult to run searches. There is a helpdesk that is always available to help, but I wish it was a little more intuitive to get searches set up. I'm still trying to figure out how to search for one main keyword and two related keywords, but not necessarily both of the related keywords. It seems to be a "one of these" keywords or "all of these" keywords kind of approach. For the charts in the insights and dashboards, it would also be nice to be able to have the numbers of articles visible on the bars, rather than having to hover of it to see how many articles are represented. It's very fast and user-friendly. It loads different articles immediately. When set, the date range stays when you switch between search folders. It has multiple options for exporting content. The filters on the right often prove useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One downside for me is that when I set a date range in one workspace, it stays the same when I log into another. It makes it easy to overlook when switching between workspaces. I would prefer if I can set different date ranges in each workspace. Another downside is that I cannot use the filters as exclusions - for example, I can filter by a source, but I cannot filter a source out. It would be great if when I click on the source, it would filter by it, and if I click again - it would remove the source from the search list. That would be very useful in some cases. Signal AI is an innovative tool that has solved the classic "I wish there was a tool that..." for our team. To keep clients apprised of changes across the global and via numerous souces, we were previously relying on manual checks or workaround solutions. Signal AI now completes all those checks for us, which not only streamlines our workflows, but also ensures that our teams and clients have faster access to critical updates. The only frustrating thing about Signal AI is how they label the websites they already have set up in the system - sometimes the names are not entirely intuitive or easy to search.
