It eliminates the step of tracking expiration dates and sending emails to get documents. This is a definite upgrade from our old system in an access database. Also, the knowledgebase/support team is friendly, efficient, and easy to reach. They have even called me to screen share and work through the issue that I ran into. Also the Ideas Hub has made some of my dreams come true : ) SafetyChain listens and make improvements. I also like how the different access levels can be edited to allow different views in the system. **What do you dislike about SafetyChain?** Hopping screens for information can be time cosuming. Having a spot to add notes to explain why documents or suppliers were moved, changed, updated etc. These notes would be helpful to communicate changes for individual company setups. **What problems is SafetyChain solving and how is that benefiting you?** SafetyChain sends notifications for new tasks, due to expire tasks and expired tasks. Because this is scheduled, I do not have to manually track or email every supplier when we need a document. SafetyChain alerts and they upload. It saves a lot of time and is very efficient. Previous to SafetyChain, this involved banker boxes, siftering through file folders, and then files. This would take hours, sometimes longer. Now, with SafetyChain, this search is no longer an issue at all. I also found myslef expanding our uses every week, with the vast number of features availble within the platform. Form creation is beyond easy as well. **What do you dislike about SafetyChain?** Developing reports was previously very difficult. Working with our Customer Success Manager, she helped make this process beyond easy. **What problems is SafetyChain solving and how is that benefiting you?** SafetyChain has solved many issues, but the largest is real time information sharing. Our forms are designed to have compliance values built in and upon form submission, notifications are sent out to designated groups for non-conformances. Anyone who has a smart phone is able to use it. Also, when the time is put in up front when building the audits, you can have your now electronic audit do more than just replace a paper audit; you can implement the SOP that supports the audit and ensure that it is followed. **What do you dislike about SafetyChain?** While the tablet interface is user friendly, building audits can be cumbersome and time consuming. A person definately needs to have a programming/IT background to quickly grasp it since it is its own language. However, if someone without that background dedicates the time needed, they can also learn it. **What problems is SafetyChain solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has always been challenging to get auditors to remember every SOP and know what to do in situations that occur infrequently. With the turnover that we have in the food manufacturing industry, this is especially true with our new, inexperienced auditors. Once the data is in SafetyChain's system, the ease of being able to use it to make informed decisions in your process is invaluable. I also love how all of our data in our records can be tracked/trended and tells a story about our business. SafetyChain is also filled with great indivudals who truly want to see their customers succeed. **What do you dislike about SafetyChain?** I wish SafetyChain had some more features such as the ability to print from the mobile app, or a "submit & print" action for all forms because facilities know what forms need to printed after completion, or the ability to attach indivdulal people in a workgroup to a verification instead of the entire workgroup. Other than added features the only other downfall to SafetyChain Software is the fact that they charge customers for their Maintenance Module that clearly does not exist. If they built their "Maintenance Module" like they did their supplier Management, people would be more inclined to add it and pay. **What problems is SafetyChain solving and how is that benefiting you?** SafetyChain Software has helped Lehi Mills digitize all of its processes and give us a birds eye view of how are facility is performing. However, our suppliers have never mentioned it was difficult to understand on their end so i am assuming end users are happy with the system. I do find that sometimes Safety Chain can be slow in loading between pages. **What problems is SafetyChain solving and how is that benefiting you?** It puts all of our suppliers into one easy location and allows us to maintain an easy-to-follow record of what materials are approved from what supplier. In our industry, we are often getting the same fruits and vegetables from a long list of suppliers. It took a lot to get everything set up and to understand how to use the system. It took a few zoom meetings to get us trained. We still had some questions once we started using it, so we were linked up with someone who answered all the questions we had. Overall I think it works well for this purpose. **What do you dislike about SafetyChain?** We originally wanted to use it for issuing CAPAs but we quickly found that the system was not set up to replace the current system we had. In order to use Safety Chain for that purpose, it made the process longer than it was at that time. I personally feel the layout can be confusing and isn't the most user-friendly. Once I figured out my way around, it wasn't so bad. **What problems is SafetyChain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Safety Chain we were using Trace Gains, but our suppliers were no longer uploading documents as they should have been. For about a year, I was essentially our document management system, following up with suppliers who had expired docs and maintaining a spreadsheet to keep track of what was due and past due.
