Also, the expense approval takes place in a very secure, effective and hierarchically. Proper updates and notifications regarding the support at each level make it easy to track the application's progress. **What do you dislike about Coupa?** Nothing much, but I would highly appreciate it if they introduced a dark mode or dark theme in their website, making it even more attractive for developers like us who work day and night in front of the computer screen. **What problems is Coupa solving and how is that benefiting you?** Coupa is making it very easy for employees to get all their expenses reimbursed by their respective organizations. Also, they are helping the organization by ensuring that the expense reimbursement process is well-managed and can be tracked easily. For employees like us, it is very beneficial as we get a platform where we can get our expenses reimbursed systematically and also keep track of all our expense reports and get notified timely regarding the report's status. The punch-out stores are a game changer for our procurement team and the organization. It allows for self-service. The expense module is user-friendly and linked to our card program. The Supplier module is great for anyone building a vendor management office and wants one place for all vendor information. **What do you dislike about Coupa?** The implementation was complex and took a great deal of time. All training material is created by the company, it would have been nice to have a base of material to build from. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about Coupa?** I use Coupa - Travel and Expense Solution for 2 purposes, firstly to claim my own reimbursements from the organization, and secondly to get the reimbursement data so as to create reports and dashboards on the same. The UI is really great and we can track all historical expenses very easily, on top of that, chat option helps approver and person who is claiming to discuss any issues with receipts. **What do you dislike about Coupa?** Though Coupa allows to download the reimbursement or expenses details, but there is no button on home page to download same in tabular format in csv or excel format. **What problems is Coupa solving and how is that benefiting you?** Earlier all the expense and reimbursement management was done manually, and the process was time consuming, but with Coupa in organization's tech stack this process has been streamlined now, and also as a BI Analyst I can call APIs to fetch the data so as to prepare reports for expenses and reimbursements of sales team. ### 7. The cloud version lacks many things, but I haven't docked any points for these because the desktop version still exists. I will mention the negatives for the cloud version within the cons section. For now, the positives. Firstly the tool is a beast, and it can handle complex networks. I have used the software for network design and optimization, primarily known in Operations Research textbooks as the facility location problem. The software is smooth; it has efficient ways for the user to input data into the tool and multiple options for optimizing the network, including inventory, production, transportation costs and all kinds of expenses that a supply chain planner would imagine. I have not even covered all the depths of the tool in the projects that I have worked on. Full marks for that. The software also has options for mapping and creating dashboards within the software, which is great. Finally, I would say it is an excellent tool that can solve many problems from a supply chain optimization point of view. **What do you dislike about Coupa?** Now onto the negatives. Firstly, the documentation is terrible. Multiple tables need to be updated within the tool, and the online documentation covers the basics only; it is a struggle to understand the effects of adding or removing data to a particular column within these tables. For example, there is a table known as the Open/Close Relations table, the documentation lists the columns and explains each column, but this is not enough to understand the tool. There must be multiple examples with explanations so that the theory can be better understood. This point may seem trivial, but SCGX and Modeller are one of the priciest off-the-shelf Supply Chain Optimization solutions, and the online documentation's lack of quality is extremely disturbing. There are problems with the training material too, the videos are disjointed, and the explanations are lacking. These are significant issues else this software would have been a 9/10 rated solution. Also, concerning the cloud solution, it is incredibly buggy. Some models fail inexplicably, but this is not a significant problem as one can depend on the offline version. Also, a point to note is that Coupa offers excellent support via email and consulting services. If you run into issues with the tool or have trouble understanding the tool, this offsets the cons mentioned earlier concerning the documentation and training material. **What problems is Coupa solving and how is that benefiting you?** When clients need their supply chain network to be optimized to save costs or need ideas as to which plants and distribution centers need to be shut down or shifted or built entirely new in a different location, they would need to make a twin of their network within Supply Chain Design and Planning software, and this is where I come in. I am Coupa Certified in Supply Chain Design. So I am responsible for using Coupla's Supply Chain Design software to evaluate and build a model of the client's supply chain design network to give them a solution depending on the software's output. ### 13. The travel platform gets bypassed more than its used becuase users always seem to find lower rates by booking themselves.
