I think Safety Chain works well for general document mangement. It took a lot to get everything set up and to understand how to use the system. It took a few zoom meetings to get us trained. We still had some questions once we started using it, so we were linked up with someone who answered all the questions we had. Overall I think it works well for this purpose. We originally wanted to use it for issuing CAPAs but we quickly found that the system was not set up to replace the current system we had. In order to use Safety Chain for that purpose, it made the process longer than it was at that time. I personally feel the layout can be confusing and isn't the most user-friendly. Most helpful is the ease of use of the software and the help we receive from customer support. We were looking for a software that would be easy to use and provide us with the results we wanted. It makes it easy when we have audits and when we need to quickly find information from records. We also like that the software can be accessed with a tablet and desktop computer. The tracking and trending side is easy to use and gather information. The email notifications for non-compliant records and picture taking capability is very important to us as well. I love that you can create as many users and profiles as you need to facilitate as many different departments and users have access to all the data that is being entered and have an opportunity to leverage the platform in ways they find useful to their part of the process. The part of Safetychain that in my experience could use the most improvement is the ability to merge the data that lives in safetychain with the data that lives in other systems throughout the company and export or otherwise connect years worth of historical data together for analysis. SafetyChain has been a great tool that has helped our organization grow closer together as we tackle complex situations and strive to drive growth at the same time. We continue to push both the software and the organization to improve, and after two years, we are still finding new uses and the team at SafetyChain has continued to strive to help solve and drive success.
