## RudderStack Reviews
  ### 1. Easy Setup, Clean UI, Limited Reporting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

I like that RudderStack is easy to set up and has a clean UI. It's also easy to integrate with other tools like Mixpanel and Braze, which is great for event piping. You are able to view the live event feeds and search events but you cannot search users. Product and marketing leveraged the plaform daily.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

I think RudderStack has limited views of data, reporting, or a user view. There are limitations to see specific user views, so it lacks the ability to go deep.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RudderStack provides a trackable way to pipe events to other tools, making event tracking easy and efficient. We leveraged the platform as a light-CDP, in place of a tool like segment.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thanks for the thoughtful review, we really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback! Glad to hear the setup, UI, and integrations are working well for your team. Making event collection and routing simple, reliable, and real-time is core to what we focus on, so it’s great to see that delivering value across product and marketing.

On the reporting and user-level visibility point, you’re right to call this out. RudderStack isn’t designed to be a full analytics or BI layer, but rather the foundation that ensures high-quality, real-time data flows into tools like Mixpanel, Braze, or your warehouse where deeper analysis and user exploration happen. That said, we’ve been actively investing in improving visibility within RudderStack itself, especially around event inspection, debugging, and user context, so teams can move faster without needing to jump across tools as often. We appreciate the feedback here, it directly informs how we continue to evolve the product.

If you’re open to it, we’d love to learn more about your specific use case and where you’re running into limitations, please feel free to reach out and chat with our team!

  ### 2. Smooth migration from Segment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven C. | Data Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Rudderstack does everything we need from a CDP while also utilising the investments we have made in our data platform. It's effectively the best of both worlds, end-to-end data collection, governance, and activation while being lightweight, flexible, and not over engineered. The migration was smooth and the UI is intuitive. We have also had a great experience working with the team and they deliver on their roadmap.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Some of the initial Profiles and rETL setup was a bit fiddly but progress on the roadmap has resolved a lot of these pain points since we onboarded. We would still like even greater observability of data flowing through the pipes but that is also supposed to be coming soon.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack allows us to collect, govern, unify, and activate our user and customer data for a use cases covering omnichannel marketing and personalisation. Due to it's architecture we are able to do this more cheaply and efficiently than we previously experience when using a packaged CDP. The tool's ease of use allows us to bring data to business problems, often without the need for data engineering involvement.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Hi Steven! It’s fantastic to hear that RudderStack strikes the “best-of-both-worlds” balance for your team. Leveraging your existing warehouse investment while still delivering the end-to-end data collection, governance, and activation you expect. (Smooth migrations and an intuitive UI are exactly what we strive for, so your call-out really means a lot.) We’ll also pass the kudos along to our success and engineering teams - nothing makes them happier than hearing they’re living up to the roadmap commitments! Your insights directly shape our product direction, so please keep them coming. Whether it’s a quick Slack message or a deeper roadmap chat, we’re always eager to learn how we can make RudderStack even more lightweight, flexible, and transparent.

**Reviewed by:** Venkata M. | Bench Sales Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Data lands in your warehouse in seconds
A new feature that allows you to control the frequency of specific model runs

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Debugging and obseravability lag
Identity Resolution Transparency

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RudderStack centralizes data collection, allowing business to unify customer interactions from various sources from single view.It offers greater flexiablity and control, allowing organizations to avoid dependency on a single vendor and adapt their data strategies as needed.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you so much for your detailed review and for highlighting how RudderStack has helped your organization integrate and manage customer data effectively. We're especially glad to hear that you're benefiting from our real-time data processing capabilities and scalable architecture. ### 4. Great tool for event tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

I really like RudderStack for several reasons. It’s cost-effective and incredibly easy to set up both sources and destinations once you get used to it. The built-in transformations are helpful, but the real power lies in the custom transformations—you can write your own logic in JavaScript or Python, giving you a high degree of flexibility to handle complex use cases. It also supports connectors for most of the tools we use, which makes integration seamless. Above all, the support team is outstanding—they’ve been consistently responsive and helpful whenever we’ve encountered issues.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

While RudderStack offers solid documentation, it can still take some time to figure out how to set up new sources, destinations, or transformations. Short instructional videos or quick-start walkthroughs would make the onboarding process much smoother, especially for new users. Additionally, while the platform is very developer-friendly—which is great—it can feel a bit overwhelming for users with less technical experience. A more guided UI or simplified setup paths could help make it more accessible to a broader audience.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us with processing events from various tools.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thanks a ton for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review! I’ve shared your kudos with our support team; it always energizes the crew to know their quick responses are landing well. We also take your onboarding suggestions to heart and have several initiatives in the works to make getting started faster and easier. You’ll begin to see improvements roll out over the next few weeks - and in the meantime, if you run into any bumps, please reach out through the in-app chat or your usual support channel. We’re always here to help you keep those events flowing smoothly.

Thanks again for being part of the RudderStack community!

  ### 5. Reliable, developer-friendly CDP that integrates seamlessly into the modern data stack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

RudderStack makes it easy to collect, transform, and route event data to downstream tools like Snowflake, Klaviyo etc. Its warehouse-first approach aligns well with modern data workflows, and the open-source flexibility is great for teams that want more control. We’ve used it to unify customer behavior data across web and mobile into our analytics layer with minimal latency and strong governance.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Setup can also be tricky without solid engineering resources on hand

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re using RudderStack primarily for website event tracking. It helps us centralize and route user interaction data to downstream tools like our data warehouse and analytics platforms. This setup gives us reliable, real-time visibility into on-site behavior without having to manage multiple custom tracking scripts, which improves data consistency and saves engineering time.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Hi there, thanks so much for the thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear that RudderStack is helping you unify web and mobile data with low latency and strong governance. That’s exactly the kind of outcome we aim for. 🙌 And we love that RudderStack is saving your team time by centralizing tracking and keeping things consistent across tools. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris P. | Director of Product Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

The RudderStack products is a cost effective alternative to Segment. The team at Rudderstack is phenomenal and has been a great partner.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

RudderStack is a newer platform so doesn't have the number of capabilities that you'd get with an alternative platform. They're closing the gap on this quickly though.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack makes it easy for us to route our Ecommerce events to various analytics and ad platforms. It saves us a ton of time and effort while giving us a reliable data network.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! ### 7. Easy way to collect and send customer data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Setup was quick and the UI is simple. I connected sources and destinations without much help. It sends the same clean data to our warehouse and to our tools at the same time. The tracking plan keeps events consistent.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

You need to plan event names and properties well, or things get messy later. Debugging failed events can take a bit of time. Pricing can grow with high volume, so you have to watch usage.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting and sending customer data

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we’re thrilled to hear that you found RudderStack easy to set up and appreciated how it streamlines sending clean, consistent data across your tools and warehouse. Keeping event tracking organized and unified is exactly what we aim for. We also appreciate your thoughtful feedback around event planning, debugging, and pricing. If you haven’t already, we’d love to walk you through our latest updates or review your current setup to ensure you’re getting the most value out of RudderStack.

Thank you again for being part of the RudderStack community!

  ### 8. Amazing Data Governance and rETL capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

They excel at making CDIs powerful and developer friendly and enable easy event tracking, unification, and activation. We also need the GDPR, and compliant solutions they offer.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

I do not have any cons - RudderStack gives us exactly what we need to do business. They require an initial setup but that’s what makes the tool powerful. It’s built for teams that value owning their data and pipelines end to end

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our data is unified, and they allow easy event streaming across all of our tools. We had a previous solution in place and saved a large cost by migrating, and now we’re actually able to use all of the data we unify.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for highlighting our data governance and rETL capabilities! We're especially glad to hear that you find our platform both powerful and developer-friendly, that's exactly what we strive for. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel I. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

RudderStack simply works. Its standard API made the switch from our previous provider painless, and the wide range of integrations covers all our current use cases. Advanced features—models, reverse ETL, and real-time transformations—give us ample flexibility, and technical support has been consistently responsive and effective.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Non-technical (accounting / billing) support has been noticeably slower and less efficient.

Centralizing all our analytics events flow into a single place.

  ### 11. Rudderstack as breakthrough for Data Tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

What I like the most about Rudderstack is the simplicity with which different platforms can be connected, and the fact that an individual payload can be transformed on the fly and send to a wide range of destinations, including webhooks

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

The User Interface is a bit confusing, especially when having a lot of source systems and/or destinations.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Different destinations require different Payload schemas. With Rudderstack you can take the same source payload and modify it as you need

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to leave this thoughtful review! We’re thrilled that RudderStack is helping you move the right data to the right destinations with minimal effort. Making data pipelines powerful and developer-friendly is exactly what we aim for. Your feedback directly influences our roadmap, so please keep it coming. You can always reach our product team in the RudderStack Slack channel or at hello@rudderstack.com.

  ### 12. Very functional platform but takes a some study to use it

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

1. Pretty much retl destinations
2.Team is professional and I like that we have a slack team to communicate, it would be much more effcient than email
3. The product design is concise and I can see that features are constantly being added to enhance the user experience

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

1. I think some of the guides on the official websites are not comprehensive enough, and there are some important details that are not written out
2. Some technical background is required for the operator, takes time to learn for tradition marketing operator

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. id stitchind would be a key and most important feature for us, as we are using mutiple platforms, we really need to stitch the ids together and have a 360 view of customer. Also as 3rd party cookies being disabled, we need a more relaible id.
2. retl: make sure our platforms are sharing the same data source. We are also planning on passing ML results using the retl function of rudderstack to further enpower our personalization

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for updating your review and sharing your experience! We truly appreciate you taking the time to provide thoughtful feedback and for recognizing both the strengths of the platform and areas where we can do better. We're glad to hear that you're finding value in our broad range of rETL destinations, the streamlined product design, and especially our dedicated Slack support. We strongly believe in high-touch, collaborative communication, and it's great to hear that's working well for your team.

RudderStack is primarily designed for engineering and data teams to build reliable, governed data pipelines that serve marketing and other teams, rather than being a tool that marketing teams use directly. That said, we absolutely recognize the importance of making RudderStack more accessible and intuitive, especially as more teams collaborate around data.

To that end, we’re actively working on:
UI and UX improvements to make workflows simpler and more discoverable
Enhanced in-app guidance and documentation, with clearer examples and fewer assumptions about technical knowledge
More role-specific use cases and interfaces, so non-technical users can more easily understand and benefit from the data pipelines being built

Your feedback helps us prioritize where to improve, and we’re grateful you took the time to share it. Thanks again for being part of the RudderStack community, we’re excited to keep making the platform better for you and your team.

  ### 13. A snappy, comprehensive package with excellent customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2024

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

It is easy to setup and integrates directly into our data warehouse, while maintaining full ownership of our data.
Support is excellent, each client has their own dedicated team who are quick to respond to any queries, often within 24 hours, despite our timezone differences. The team is extremely professional and patient when it comes to trobuleshooting issues and will not hestiate to jump on a call where necessary.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Documentation of features can be improved, lack of automated alerts if any pieplines are down or encountering an error.
Troubleshooting for Profiles can also be challenging due to basic error handling - the same error code can be thrown for different issues though it's understandable as it is a relatively new service.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating and unifying diverse data sources to create a comprehensive view of each customer. We are better equipped to personalize the web experiences for each of our customers and create relevant, high value segments for our various teams to tap into and develop initiatives for.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for your detailed review - we’re thrilled to hear that RudderStack’s ease of setup, warehouse-first approach, and strong data ownership model have worked well for your team. We take pride in offering timely, hands-on help across all time zones, and it's great to know that’s been your experience.

We also really appreciate your feedback on documentation, pipeline alerting, and Profiles error handling. You're absolutely right - automated alerts and clearer error messages are critical for smooth operations, and both are areas we’ve been actively working on (in both Event Stream and Profiles). Your insights help us prioritize and improve, so thank you again for sharing them and for being a valued part of the RudderStack community!

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Having Rudderstack onboard as our destination of choice for product events has made a massive difference to our velocity as a data team.

Rudderstack's simple transforms meant we never needed to write more than 20 lines of code to get a source or destination online. Its simple interface also let us easily see our entire data architecture at a glance. Rudderstack also allows you to enable and disable sources and destinations in a no-mess way. We avoided outages while migrating, which is rare with a migration project of this size.

In addition, the Rudderstack team have been massively helpful in getting us online and providing support for our (sometimes outlandish) data requirements. Thanks folks!

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

We're keen to see more automation of deploys to Rudderstack and more full-featured connectors to some destinations: Rudderstack is great for the happy path, but sometimes more obscure features of destinations aren't available. But overall very happy!

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We collect millions of a events a day from our products and need to push them to destinations (e.g. Mixpanel, Snowflake) with completely different data shape requirements. Rudderstack does a wonderful job of making most of that complexity completely disappear.

  ### 19. Does everything Segment does + great transformation & reverse ETL features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel P. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Rudderstack powers our entire customer data event flow. We have connected it to more than 6 sources and over 10 destinations. Our engineers never have an issue implementing anything, our product managers & analysts have the power to wire up new tools and transform data using JS as needed (without an engineer) and it just all magically works.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

- New version rollouts could be done better, we had a bug that was caused by one but nothing in the UI told us there was an issue (as it was working fine before the new release) and it took a few days for the support team to realise what was going on
- Very minimal timing but twice we've had outages which caused event lost, this is about 15 mins each time over the last year

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast integration for new tools
Saving engineers from working on "solved problems" and making them more productive on meaningful work
We have instant access to all of our customer data in all tools, this means a simple firing of an event from a new backend data process means we can action it in something like an email marketing platform

  ### 20. Rudderstack is a Useful Tool for Developers and Marketers Alike

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey B. | Director Of Marketing Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

I like having the ability to really get under the hood and do some custom integrations. Rudderstack's transformations feature is great for modifying payloads in-flight and enriching event details on their way to their destination. We were able to use a transformation to add authorization headers to a webhook request in order to facilitate a custom integration. This isn't something that would have been nearly as easy with some of the other CDPs in the market.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

There are some elements of the UI that are a tad confusing (options pushed below the fold so you don't know they're there, etc.) but not a huge issue. Something that will likely be updated as the platform matures over time.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a tool with CDP capabilities that was also able to ETL data from A to B, specifically involving Netsuite. Rudderstack made it so that we could get data out of Netsuite and into a data warehouse, and from the warehouse to multiple other destinations.

  ### 21. Great for Telemetry and Getting Data out of SaaS Tools into your Warehouse

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will L. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Rudderstack has enabled the go-to-market side of our business to pull data into our data warehouse from Stripe, Mailchimp, Salesforce, and our other SaaS products without taking up engineering resources. These "cloud extract" sources are worth the price of admission alone. As an analyst, I can hardly imagine going back to a world where I had to write, schedule and maintain my own versions of these ELTs. Adopting Rudderstack went a long way in increasing the velocity of our data & analytics team. We also use the SDK, but I have limited experience using it to implement track and identify calls (although our growth engineers seem to love it). I am also impressed by their support in Slack. They do an excellent job keeping us updated with the status of our requests and almost always have solutions within a week.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Rudderstack would be an even better platform if they had thought leadership and/or guidance around spreading the tool–and having a mutually agreed upon language of implementation–across the entire company. In other words, we have great adoption on one or two teams, but we don't have a playbook for evangelizing it even further. As someone who has used competing products, I can say that no one has figured this out yet, so I don't hold it against them.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack lets us surface all our marketing data in our data warehouse without data engineering resources. As an analyst, this empowers me to field requests from marketing and finance faster and self-sufficiently, which I love. It's also used by engineering to instrument key telemetry, but as I stated, above, I have limited exposure to this.

  ### 22. Reliable, cost effective CDP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew S. | Head of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

The Rudderstack Dashboard is very easy to use and intuitive. We found the migration to Rudderstack from our previous CDP to be very fast and easy. And we've been very impressed with their technical support offered through a Slack workspace, as well as a dedicated account rep who immediately made themselves available through a Slack connect channel.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

I would like to see some additional features around data integrity and data governance. I've previously raised with the Rudderstack team, and have been informed that they such features are under active development 🙌

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack makes it easy for us to connect our core applications to our data warehouse, transform our data in transit, and integrate other third-party marketing services into our stack with minimal engineering effort.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you so much for the kind words - we’re thrilled to hear that your migration to RudderStack was smooth and that our dashboard and Slack-based support have made a strong impression. We also really appreciate your feedback around data integrity and governance. You're absolutely right - these are critical areas, and we have been rolling out major feature enhancements to strengthen our offering here. In fact, our Data Quality Toolkit is part of a broader initiative to give teams more visibility, control, and confidence in the data flowing through their pipelines. It’s built to help catch schema violations early, track field-level data changes, and ensure the consistency your downstream tools rely on. Check it out and let us know if we can reconnect to talk through the new features!

Thanks again for being a part of the RudderStack community!

  ### 23. Reduce the Dev lift to maintain your data pipeline

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina T. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

The UX is simple, and once the engineers understand the work to be done, implementation is quick. There are many out of the box integrations as well; you'll probably find what you need.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

In spite of the helpful people on the RS team, it's still taken us longer than we expected to get the pipeline set up and events flowing through. Also due to the sheer volume of events that we have, only a parallel implementation strategy would work. If you used RS from the get-go, you'd be better off.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were experiencing bottlenecks with part of our Eng pipeline when it came to analytics events. By shifting to RS, our backend resources will no longer be a blocker.

  ### 24. Rudderstack changed the game for me regarding how to track data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

The idea of having one source to rule many other destinations was just game-changing for me. And the versatility of destinations and sources is great. Also a big shoutout to the Slack community support guys. I think with such a complex tool it comes down to support really quickly, and I got answers pretty quickly always and they were helpful most of the time.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

There is slight confusion in the schema, sometimes you use anonymousId sometimes clientId in context to pull the clientId from. sometimes you use page.url sometimes properties.url to pull URL data. Ergo, a better schema consistency across multiple destinations would be great, so we would not have to tweak additional values for each destination, although we already have them (I am aware of the transformations, but still there is sometimes confusion in the logic).

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can quickly try out or change a destination and are more platform agnostic. Setting up all the events for each destination is a hassle which Rudderstack eliminates to some degree for us.

  ### 25. Great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

We've been using rudderstack for the better part of a year now and it's been running really stable (self hosted kubernetes). Adding new destinations is trivial, it simplified our tracking setup so much I honestly can't figure out a way to build a product without a tool like Rudderstack.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

The JS SDK is not 100% bug free and when something doesn't work as expected you have to consider the possibility that it is a bug on the SDK side. Fortunately it is open source and well-written. Also when bugs are reported they are fixed so fast that I don't need to fork and fix it myself.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of writing specific code to get our events to destinations as mixpanel, FB, google, pinterest, bing, etc etc etc, we just send it to Rudderstack and their ecommerce api handles the rest. If marketing wants to add another platform we just add the destination and no other dev work is needed.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with RudderStack back in August 2022, we truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback, even if this response is coming a bit later than ideal! It’s great to hear that RudderStack has become such an integral part of your stack and we're thrilled that adding destinations has been seamless and that the platform has helped simplify your tracking setup.

We also appreciate your honest input on the JS SDK. You're absolutely right - while bugs can occasionally surface, we're committed to resolving them quickly and are glad to hear that you've seen fast turnaround times. Thanks again for being a part of the RudderStack community - we’d love to hear how things are going today and continue supporting your success!

  ### 26. Fantastic tool with an amazing group of people behind it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max W. | CEO

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Two things come to mind:

Their event-based pricing model gives you a lot more flexibility in using it for different kinds of sources (website, apps, third-party tools) since you're not blowing throw MTUs unnecessarily.

Their transformation feature is simply a JavaScript function, meaning you can do just about anything you need to without being limited by what a GUI offers.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

While their ETL service offering has a decently sized catalog, they do not have ERDs for the extracted data schemas in their documentation. This leads to some digging into the raw extracted data to get started first.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies event data collection instrumentation, the integration of 3rd party tools, both client and server side, and helps ensure a single source of truth for all data.

  ### 27. Easy to use, fast support and excellent value for money!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ross P. | Business Intelligence Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Its usability, the fast and reliable support (especially compared to similar companies I've worked with in the past).
But mostly, we a huge fan of the ETL which allows us to build multiple complex SQL-based audiences in Redshift and then sync with our marketing automation platform.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Not much to be totally honest. But if I had to pick something, I would like to see more sources/desinations added to their profile.
Including Eloqua, and Microsoft SQL Server (ETL).

Email alerts on destination failed events.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building customer segmentations to then send to downstream destinations.
Managing data pipelines across three websites.
Limiting the amount of JS on our websites by funneling web events to destinations such as Hotjar.

  ### 28. Great CDP for healthcare companies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

We are a healthcare company, and Rudderstack is the best CDP we found that is HIPAA compliant. The pricing is competitive and they've built out many connections. We found that it works very similarly to Segment which was nice for our engineering team.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

The documentation around transformations for PHI could be improved a bit and we had one connection that was missing that was pretty important to us (we set it up via webhook + transformation ourselves instead).

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Piping data between tools for marketing and analytics purposes. It also allows us to remove PHI before piping information into tools that we don't have a BAA with (e.g. Amplitude).

  ### 29. Rudderstack is reliable and great value for money.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Rudderstack was super helpful and generous during the pre-sales process and has continued to be supportive to their customer base through their community forums.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

I'd like more integrations and transparency of which integrations they're working on in the future. I'd like them to continue building out their documentation and keeping it up to date. I'd also like to see more business case examples showing best practice of their tools for inspiration in different business areas.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack is helping us with cross-platform user identity resolution, application event tracking and creating a consistent and easy way to sync user and account properties against our business systems.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for your kind words and for recognizing the support you received during the pre-sales process, it means a lot to our team. We’re also glad to hear that our community forums continue to be a helpful resource for you.

Your feedback on integrations, documentation, and business use cases is incredibly valuable. Since your review, we’ve expanded our integration library and are working toward making our roadmap more transparent to give users better visibility into what’s coming. We’ve also invested in improving and regularly updating our documentation, and we’re actively building more real-world examples and best practices to support different business teams and industries.

Thanks again for your thoughtful suggestions and for being part of the RudderStack community. We’d love to hear how things are going and how we can continue to support your success.

  ### 30. Reliable CDP with great customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

It has an easy-to-understand operating model of sources and destinations and several out-of-the-box integrations with common tools. Debugging with their Live View is straightforward and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Some documentation for less-used services is a bit difficult to follow and some of the SDKs available feel slightly clunky. Being able to configure things through code/a git repo would be amazing for things like keeping event transformations in a more viewable space.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shuttling data into our data warehouse and also also using RudderStack to reverse ETL data to other destinations is a breeze.

  ### 31. Intuitive to setup and use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffery D. | Back End Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Turn key connections are my favorite feature. Using out-of-the-box sources is also very useful as it cuts down our integration development for Rudderstack.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Some custom integrations require custom development, if we could get a more flushed-out event management for custom events, that would be beneficial.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack is helping us project and map out our future data gathering plans for the company and showing us a proper road-map on where we should be heading in the future.

  ### 32. Rudderstack Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christien K. | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Rudderstack Transformations, they are extremely convenient with build a pipeline and making transformations on the fly. The analytics tab of active pipelines are quite good as well.

I can't compare it to competitors as I haven't used a service like Rudderstack in the past, but the user interface and customer support is quite good.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

You lack control over how certain objects are stored especially if you're storing to a place like AWS.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

_

  ### 33. Great product with great support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

The Rudderstack dashboard is very intuitive and the implementation is very quick. We are currently going through a Marketo implementation where we are getting our product data from Rudderstack, and the team has been very supportive and available to troubleshoot/answer all questions and issues.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

I think their documentation can be improved a bit when it comes to integrations and more insight into the status of the integration (ie Is it continually updated/QA'd)?

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Rudderstack to track our user journeys - both on our website and inside our app. As a Marketing Operations leader, I use this information to inform our marketing nurtures/onboarding as well as our lead qualification workflows for the sales team.

  ### 34. Many data sources to many destinations, no code.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jailson B. | Data Engenieer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Need the basic code for transferring data between sources and destinations, good documentation, good support, and several SDK available.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Maybe the API no available for Free accounts.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get the track users from the application and send to datalake

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for taking the time to leave your review back in 2022 - we truly appreciate it, even if this response comes a bit later than we’d like! We’re glad to hear that you’ve found our SDKs, documentation, and support helpful in getting your data flowing easily between sources and destinations.

We also appreciate your note regarding API access for free accounts. Access and flexibility are important to us, and your feedback continues to shape how we think about platform accessibility and future improvements across all plans. Thanks again for your thoughtful input and for being part of the RudderStack community. We’d love to hear how things are going and how we can support you further.

-Mackenzie Hastings

  ### 35. The support is specially attentive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hugo C. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

I wanted something to connect with shopify and easy to use, that's why I like it.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

It should have a chat for support, but slack also works well

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event tracking on shopify

  ### 36. Phenomenally simple and incredibly powerful.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

It's incredibly simple to get going and handles a huge amount of data for us.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

It's a bit technical, and the documentation doesn't always match up with the way that things work. This seems to be a symptom of a fast-moving product team.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We connect all of our analytics and user-driven event data to RudderStack, driving our notifications, user data and insights, and third party services.

  ### 37. Great event streaming and reverse ETL platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

The platform is very easy to get started with, very solid documentation and great technical resources to help troubleshoot any implementation issues.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Sometimes it is difficult to pinpoint issues with downstream connections.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rudderstack handles both real-time event streaming from our website as well as identity resolution and reverse ETL functions from our data warehouse.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback back in 2022 - we truly appreciate it. While some time has passed, your insights are still incredibly valuable to us and we’re glad to hear that getting started with RudderStack was smooth and that our resources have been helpful along the way.

We also appreciate your feedback on the challenges with diagnosing downstream connection issues. Since your review, we’ve introduced enhancements to our observability and error reporting tools, and have also rolled out a Health Dashboard making it easy to monitor and troubleshoot data flow across destinations. Improving transparency and debugging continues to be a top priority for us.

We’d love to hear how things are going - and if there’s anything we can do to further support your setup. Thanks again for being part of the RudderStack community!

  ### 38. Rudderstack has been solving our demand to collect user events in a simple way.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Simplicity in creating pipelines to collect and forward user events data into other platforms.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Lack of different programming languages to handle transformations.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting user events data and forwarding it to our DWH.

  ### 39. Great for managing multiple data pipelines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshil S. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Very intuitive UI, a single source to send uniform data to multiple marketing, open-source very easy to integrate the SDKs, I use Braze, Amplitude, Snowflake with it, great Slack support at all times too.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Since it's open-sourced, maybe the code quality can do better, some integrations such as Google Sheets are still poor, debugging transformations can be cumbersome

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing data pipelines across multiple sources and destinations has become easy which enables faster engineering. Also having a single source to manage all the pipeline of data flow throughout the application.

**Official Response from Mackenzie Hastings:**

> Thank you for your thoughtful review, Harshil, and for sharing how you’re using RudderStack alongside Braze, Amplitude, and Snowflake - we love hearing about these kinds of real-world use cases! It’s great to know our UI, SDKs, and Slack support have made your experience smooth and productive.

We also appreciate your feedback on areas for improvement. Since your review in early 2022, we’ve made significant enhancements to integration stability and invested in transformation debugging tools. We're also continuing to strengthen our open-source offering, including ongoing improvements to code quality and documentation.Your feedback plays a part in shaping these priorities, and we’re grateful for it. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the latest updates, we’d love to reconnect and walk you through what’s new.

Thanks again for being part of the RudderStack community!

  ### 40. Great tool, exceptionnal support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Amount of sources / destinations available

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

The main user connections interface can be useless with a great number of connections

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Event Stream, ETL and Reverse ETL

  ### 41. Fantastic customer service & Easy integration setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Significantly cheaper than competitors, same core features, much more personalized help (we'll need to implement a data warehouse eventually anyways 👍)

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Still missing a couple key tools in our data stack but expanding rapidly

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business insights!

  ### 42. Insane impact to our decision-making

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apostolis L. | E-commerce Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2018

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

- quick setup
- powerful data blending
- even more powerful data mining
- works flawlessly
- awesome support

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Nothing yet. Maybe that there is room for an "onbarding wizard" to guide you through when you start. However, their support was pretty fast and effective all the times I needed them.

**Recommendations to others considering RudderStack:**

Definitely give it a shot, their amazing support team will answer all your questions. They have a free trial too.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating with Blendo enabled us to merge our different dashboards and focus on 1 major "mega" dashboard. This resulted in insane additional data mining value which allowed our company to "understand" our data in a new way and take faster and much more accurate decisions.

  ### 43. Blend all your data from different systems easily and create realtime analyses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pavla M. | Finance Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2018

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Integrations with all the systems we use. Also we really love the support Blendo provides!

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

There is nothing major. Refresh times could be more than every 15 minutes, but that is something we need only 5 days a month so it is fine to manually turn on the refresh when needed.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with consolidation of three entities in our accounting software Xero, seems there is a lack of a reporting tool offering consolidation in the currencies we need. We also have data in Freshdesk and Piperdrive and wanted to create common dashboard using information from all the systems. Thanks to Blendo and their integrations with all our main systems we can have everything very easily in PowerBI which is automatically updating every night so there is no need to update anything manually.

  ### 44. A perfect integration of 17 Xero organisations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James S. | Director, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2017

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

THe simple fact that all detailed data for any number of organisations can be compiled and managed within SQL in Azure

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

Nothing - it simply does what it says and the support is great during set-up and when I have had needed further advice

**Recommendations to others considering RudderStack:**

I am an Excel and analytics specialist not a full-on systems developer. It is so easy to set up a SQL database (we chose Azure) to receive the data feeds from Blendo. Thereafter you are just working with SQL queries which even I can master for the purposes of integration Power Query loads into Excel dashboards. Power BI would be easy too if needed.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business where I deployed Blendo operates a bit like a franchise and therefore has many companies. The basic issue with Xero is that there is no way to group company data so we needed to get around this. Access to the full data detail allows full understanding of all businesses in one report drawn from a set of SQL queries. We use Excel and Power Query to load and report the data.

  ### 45. Liberate your data for faster exploration and better analysis without coding.

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

Connecting data in a few clicks and knowing it will be connected ongoing.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

The service is brilliant. The one thing that could be improved would to be showing the progress of the first time import as where there is a lot of data this can take a while.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use blendo to select data from API connections and store that data for faster access and to get at dat athat would need coding to connect to APIs otherwise. We also used Blendo to back-up data when leaving a cloud service -data that would have been lost otherwise - Blendo used the API to grab everything we wanted and place into a database.

  ### 46. This is a well engineered and effective product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

I've worked with them a few times, and Blendo makes connecting databases extremely easy. It's not so common in the industry.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

It's less about something i dislike, but rather more honestly the fact that as they go an increase their feature set and data sources it will get better and better still.

**Recommendations to others considering RudderStack:**

This is a tool to use, it's perfect and fit's all if not most of standard DBs and requirements.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The solution what syncing simple databases like our mailing list, to a complex system like redshift. instead of a bulky solution this was perfect, and while we were onboarding on to, it became evident it can hold various levels of syncing complexity so we just move everything through it.

  ### 47. Migrating your data and keeping them in sync with confidence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George M. | Co-Founder, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about RudderStack?**

With minimal IT involvement anyone can easily move millions of records between different databases/platforms as if he was just copy/pasting an excel sheet.

**What do you dislike about RudderStack?**

There is nothing to dislike, the product's feature set satisfies all our needs and the team is always there to help us make the most of it.

**What problems is RudderStack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blendo is our go to solution when a client asks us to move data in or out from our own platform, making sure that the process goes smoothly is a deal breaker for us and we love the reliability of Blendo.
