I was with the business when we were still using stone-age fraud rules and manual order review for fraud detection. Transit to a machine-learning mechanism has taken lots of manual work, which spare us more time to other works

Riskified's technology is easy to understand and evaluates fraud quickly to minimize impact to downstream operations (collecting funds, shipping orders, etc).

Riskified's customer support team is responsive, friendly and they are experts in the space! Very comfortable talking through complex use cases and adjusting according to business needs.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

It's difficult to find total counts  for timeframes, within the dashboard.

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removing the need to manually evaluate fraud. Reduce chargeback expenses.

Detect fraud bookings with Riskified. It will improve the overall approval ratio and cover the fraud loss as well.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Riskified can adapt to our specific usecases and customers to detect fraudulent transactions. UI and integration is simple but do the job for our fraud analysts. Riskified decreased our chargebacks and risks for years now.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

We started to expand our business to Asia and unfortunately decision from Riskified seems  a bit random from customers in APAC, maybe related to chinese or japanese characters and email addresses.

We've reduced our backlog in Fraud Manual Review and we can also rely on Riskified to cover our loss in case of chargebacks

The insurance getting paid if charge back. We did get good support during implementation/migration to our new ecom platform.

The api/integration docs could be improved in order for a smother integration, the support helped out but it was not very clear which fields should be populated with what.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Overall, Riskified has a great understanding of our business and clients.  Often industry players understand low and mid Average Order Value fraud dynamics, but Riskified understand high AOV fraud dynamics. Over the past 3 years, I have been impressed by Riskified's commitment to deliver improvements that stemmed from our feedback and continuously improving the UI/UX. The ability of Riskified to adapt to our constantly changing business environment is key to our performance, and a integral part of our relationship.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

The opacity of decline categories.  What distinguish high-risk from considerable risk ? Why do proportion of declines by categories varies so much when the order's properties do not change as much ?
I also appreciate an interface to create custom business rules; specific declined business rules to decline order for which the risk exposure is high for the merchant but low for Riskified, whitelisting rules for non-insured approvals, and business rules for insured declines where Riskified can insure the order, but the merchant can make a conscious decision based on their risk tolerance.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

From my opinion, they're one of the industry player that understands high AOV fraud dynamics the best.

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Approving the bulk of our orders that have low p() of chargeback.  We benefit by using our resources on the higher risk orders; where we can create more value.  We also benefit from having a faster approval time on +80% of our volume.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

What I like the best is that Riskified, always explains really well why is declining the transaction, Or if the customer is linked to fraudulent activity, existing customers, either by email address, phone, IP address or in Riskified network. Is that helps Riskified but also our internal compliance process. Also with the new modifications to the resubmit the transaction to be review one more time is now easier and faster because with the old form it used to freeze the screen and then we have to refresh the page 

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Is not that I dislike, but we started a white-label service with a company that is called Cebuana, and the system was declining a lot of new transfers, for new customers so is a little hard to explian for these customers that is a security measure that our system needs to run. It now fixed but in the past with the old form to re-review the order again, it used to freeze the screen and then we have to refresh the browser or close the window and open it again.

Is a really good service a little complicated to understand on the very first, but once you catch it up is super helpful. 

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The real benefit is that the company is protected against fraudulent chargebacks, Of course we run our own internal security filters but it's super helpful to have extra help. And the problems are that sometimes we can't know for sure if the customer is the one doing the transfer because our service is a phone app/website service, So Riskified is really good with this.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Definitely the immediate decisioning and the chargeback guarantee are critical to a growing business like ours. We don't have the resources to allocate dedicated individuals to any specific fraud fighting role, so the ability to outsource the entire decision and review process to Riskified and knowing they will cover their decisions with a chargeback guarantee was enormously helpful for us.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

To date we have not experienced any problems with the service. One recommendation, however, would be to create a user guide explaining how to integrate the Riskified Decider to Magento 2 which we found quite challenging.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

The immediate decisioning, chargeback guarantee, reasonable fees, and elimination of checkout friction make it a no brainer. No need to constantly review and tweak rules and spend hours analysing data and poor decisions. It's all done for you.

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a consumer electronics focused online retailer, we experience a disproportionately high rate of fraudulent transactions on a product line with an extremely low margin. Every cent counts and any chargeback is a major impact to the bottom line.
In the early days, we were experiencing almost one in every 20 orders to be fraudulent and we had a rudimentary review process which was fraught with poor assumptions, clumsy, time-consuming and introduced a large amount of friction to the sale process.
Since implementing the Riskified solution all that pain has gone away and the fees charged are easily absorbed in the savings experienced by a complete elimination of fraud while not impacting the good orders.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

We are using it as provider and I can of course admit that it helped us with the managing of the clients and there are less fraudolent customers.
The chance to have a fast support is very useful, we receive feedback after very few hours.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

At the moment I think that in my case, the option of providing feedback to single email addresses can be a little bit stricky. It would be better to make that option for distribution lists for example.
This is not very useful because we have part time agents who don't work here all the time and even because they can be absent (for example holidays, sickness etc..)

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

It is very useful to help the customers to have a better service and solution. In addiction, you can have more information about the client and have a bigger overview. 
In our case, the verifying of frauds has been a huge help, a lot of fraudolent customers have been blocked before ordering and for us is a total earn of money. I think that in Customer services it is a very important and helpful tool.

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have less contacts, especially in our case we manage the customer in a better a faster way.
An important feature in our case is the releasing of the Pre authorization; after 24 hours it has released. The customers are less angry then before and in our case this is the most important thing.

The fact that things are immediate, most often for the customer.

Would like to see more purchase attempts included in the SMS feature, to alleviate unnecessary customer friction.

I w as able to work closely with Lily on my idea to give people that were declined additional resources to allow false/positives the chance to revisit their purchase attempt in an effort to overturn with additional information, she agreed and this started with an analyst (life saver up to 24 hour turn around), later adding on further system review with additional detail (Clipboard- later adding on ability to advise whether we spoke with customer, or not (to cover cases we have in a manual review state as well)) and finally the SMS capability starting up as an additional tool.   Was happy to see this evolved into an overall program "Second Look" that others can take advantage of having less customer friction across the board.  Has been great working with Lily!

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Mostly i like the fast support from riskified and how easy it is.

Even my employees were able to check one or two cases without a proper training what is really a relief for me and my collegues. 

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

That so many orders get canceled even thou its just a different place in the same country. We have every time cases were people order from friends places to there address but apperently this orders gets blocked by riskified some times so the customer needs to get in touch with us, we need to get in touch with riskified and after approval of riskified we need to contact the customer again what takes a lot of time :(

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

The first advice i can give is that this program uses data i proper way and the service ist quiet fast. While most 2nd level support needs more than 24h riskified is always answering in time of 4 hours what is quiet impressing in my opinion. Try it out yourself to see how good it works :)!

First of all fraud cases but also some weird cases what would never show up without riskified. In many examples we were safed by riskified and the protection it gives us. 

Some customers are trying to violate our vouchers and sale process and order like crazy without limits. therefore riskified noticed people buying a lot of products through a credit card. 

I know that this is not the first place reason but it really helped us out :)

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

There is sufficient information relating to fraud regarding an online order. All the information is displayed in a concise and productive way. Also getting email notifications to notify me when there is a potentially fraudulent order is nice. I also like that the Riskified employees are always available if we need to reach out to them. It is also very easy to use. It allows anyone with no background information regarding fraud feel like an expert. I also forget my password alot so resetting the password is easy through email.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Although all information being informed and displayed is clean and precise, I wish there was a Advanced Info option that can explain a wider range of information for us to really connect the dots. I feel that we only get to see the simplified version in which Riskified connects for us (which has always been fine). Other than that, there's really not much to dislike at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

If you are looking for a program that handles both Fraud Detection assistance and Fraud Insurance, Riskified is the way to go. 

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handling fraudulent orders, it allowed me to learn what to look for and what signals suspicion when a client reaches out to us. Riskified allowed me to be more aware and knoweldgeable regarding order placement.

I enjoy all the parameters we can add to a search in the filter area to retrieve specific transactions, the detailed exports at the order level, and also when disputing chargebacks, I enjoy how easy it is to file a chargeback case and also the detailed compelling evidence that Riskified provides in return. 

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

The process of resubmitting declined orders for a second review does not seem very clear and we do not understand why the order still gets declined. I would like more details in that specific area. 

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

Riskified's platform is extremely user friendly, it provides detailed and clear reports of declined orders, a clear percentage of chargebacks and so on. It also allows to filter a search with a lot of detail in order to identify specific transactions. 

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Riskified helps us detect fraudulent orders at the root, it helps with our order validation process on a daily basis and it helps a lot with our chargeback procedure as it makes it very easy to submit a chargeback and to further dispute it thanks to the compelling evidence offered.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

One of the best vendor relationships with great communication.  Always looking to improve the process and continue to evolve with the ever changing fraud landscape.  Improved overall team efficiency by reducing outbound CS verification interactions.  Better overall customer experience through seamless, non interaction approval process.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Not much to include as my experience with the Riskified team and using the tool have been very easy.  The only feedback would be the associated cost for this service.  Since their tool continues to improve and more data is available through new accounts, their current customers should see annual price reductions due to the improve efficiency.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

Definitely worth a review, works best when going 100% and sending all order data for review, Implementation and integration was easier than most and well supported.

Reduction in outbound CS interactions allowing for more inbound and associated potential revenue.  Headcount reductions lowering overall labor costs required to perform verifications in-house.  Order approval rate increase adding to top-line revenue

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

I really love the review re-review feature on Riskified as we receive a lot of customer phone calls that need to have their order reviewed immediately. This allows us to re-review the order and give them an answer whether or not they will be able to place an order again.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

There isn't really any features that I dislike. I believe Riskified is a great and efficient service that is consistently trying to make it more seamless for order reviews and detecting fraudulent activity. 

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The majority of our issues would be the order decline and re-review in order for our customers to place a new order. We also use it to detect any frequent fraudulent activity from customers in case we need to blacklist someone or see if there are automatic orders being placed by bots.

We have used Riskified for approximately 3 years and have seen a dramatic reduction in our chargebacks and fraud. We trust their analysis of our orders and only fulfill order based on their recommendation. If any chargebacks do occur they immediately step in and refund the orders which they approved / insured.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Over the 3 years of using Riskified I have seen vast improvements (and flaws fixed). In this company current iteration, I really do not have any negative things to say. 

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Riskified has greatly reduced our order fraud and have given us the benefit of having a safety net. Their analysis of our orders is a vital tool in our day to day operations and ensures we do not suffer any big losses in any given month.

With Riskified, there is no waiting time. All decision are made almost instantly. I appreciate the fact that Riskified is using the information collected about a customer from other retailers to determine the risk level of a transaction in your store.

Just like any other service, you cannot expect 100% accuracy, I do see transactions that I know for sure are safe and still get declined.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

Riskified is your life vest. Do not try to run a high traffic eCommerce site without them.

Running a website using Riskified gives you the peace of mind you highly need in today's market. Especially in the fashion market that is very fast, active & risky, we do not have the time or ability to inspect every order or customer.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Chargeback Guarantee. We used to have very high chargeback. Since we started to use Riskified. We have ZERO chargeback. Dashboard and representing a ranking on the order is very useful and clear. Search function to locate order is easy and quick. Implement is straightforward and fairly easy. Sandbox account provided and have every detail function as live environment.

We sometime have customer screwed up when they checking out product such as putting wrong cvv and then tried to use other credit card. Riskified will cancel this orders. We like some function that if we 100% certain that the customer is good one then we need bypass Riskified.

We had super high chargeback before. The cost of charge back is almost the cost we paying monthly fee on Riskified. We tried different way to improve it with Kount. And apparently there is some bottleneck we can over until we switched to Riskified.   Right now our customer care team do not need to review order and make decision on themselves. Save tone of  on labor and more accurate too.  Decision make is more transparent with Riskified representing tool.  Customer care agent could see clearly why the transaction got canceled to help customer.

Riskified alleviates our worry about fraudulent orders and does all of the screening for us.  There have been numerous times where fraudulent orders have been placed, but Riskified immediately declines/cancels them so we do not have to deal with an eventual chargeback. Their customer support has also been extremely helpful in resolving any questions or issues that we came across during the order filtering/screening process.

There are times where legitimate orders are deemed as fraudulent and canceled. This causes some problems as the customer is confused as to why their order was canceled. However, we have the Riskified team re-review the customer and they typically approve them so that the customer is able to place a new order with no issues.

We do not have to keep a close eye on all orders that are coming through. We trust Riskified to scan orders and decline ones that could potentially be fraudulent which saves us both time and money.

Each and every single order has been thoroughly checked and if it has not been approved, detailed comment is provided.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

It used to show order numbers in one of the columns, which made checking all orders daily much easier as you could have checked if any of the numbers is missing, instead of going back and checking by the names.

Another issue that I feel is quite serious, is that, some orders - which are genuine, are not being approved and reason given is 'High risk shipping method'. Customers are not able to choose a different shipping method, other than choose if they'd like next day delivery. However, in most cases when these orders are cancelled, the customer has not made any changes to the shipping.

I have used this for a few websites and we actually have never had a fraudulent order come through. I wish I could say we have been able to successfully get refunded for these types of orders, but we have never needed to. Not one fraudulent order since we started using them has gotten through!

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

It's not easy to remove certain payment methods from needing Riskified. For example, if you use a financing/pay later program that already has fraud guarantees, there is no easy way to turn that off. Takes some work with their customer support team. Why pay the fee if you are already covered? I am sure many don't do this.

Compare it to Signifyd, Kount and No Fraud and see what works best for your business.

The big issue online now is fraud. In the past we manually did the research behind each order, especially the large ones. This took up time from other things in the business. I like the peace of mind. I know what to expect for my Riskified payment vs what could happen when unprotected. We have been able to increase revenues by decreasing problematic checkouts from valid customers because of our aggressive fraud filtering. We have begun to expand out into other geographic markets without fear of increase fraud liabilities. We know almost instantly whether we have a valid transaction or not with 100% confidence that we will not lose the product/revenue due to fraud. Riskified is able to work automatically and provide the proper feedback into our eCommerce platform. This hands-off approach allows our CSR team to focus more on the customer as opposed to spending time validating customer purchases.
I like the way that support will work with you to customize your order filtering. It is not just an all or nothing on order submission. You can filter based on may different aspects of the order to really dial in to where you need the protection most.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

I do wish there was a way in the admin to be able to whitelist specific customers. It is not often we run into false positives, but it does happen. We have workarounds in place and understand the risk when going around the system. But it would be nice to flag an order in the application for human review to be able to reverse a decision on a buyer for future orders without having to contact support each time.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

Talk with Riskified. Audit back through your order history and get an accurate account of what you have actually lost to fraud. Then talk with Riskified to see how they can help. I would bet that once you evaluate pricing from Riskified vs your fraud exposure and add in potential to reclaim actual customers who may have been caught up in filtering...You will be miles ahead with Riskified.

We were looking for a way to cut our exposure to online fraud. We also had to have our filtering set so aggressive with our processor that we were having issues denying actual customers from completing their purchase. With Riskified we have been able to remove all processor filtering to reduce actual consumer friction while checking out so we capture more of the orders we want. We also know that we are 100% covered from fraudulent transactions. Makes it much easier to budget a small fee from Riskified than the unknown of what you could get hit with from fraudsters.

Asking for refunds/guarantees is extremely easy. This is a big turn off with other similar services that make it more difficult to get a refund processed. This makes Riskified feel closer and since Riskified trusts us, we trust Riskified.
Instead of having a team of people going through every single transaction to detect whether it's suspicious or not, we know use Riskified to do that for us. That team is now dedicated to other work that provides more value for our customers. We absolutely trust the system and has worked wonderfully for the last three years.
Riskified is a must for any serious ecommerce site.

I've wanted to get more clients on board but the sales volume required is very high.
If this requirement went way down, I could definitely get more clients using Riskified.

What I like best about Riskified is that they are thorough with the reasoning for the denied order. With a quick scan, it is easy to see all of the reason for which the order is flagged. Whether that be weird IP, billing addresses that do not match passed chargebacks with other companies, etc.


**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

I sometimes feel although the linking is not 100% accurate, as there are other orders correlated that we find that are not listed in this section.

Additionally when the only linking is IP is can sometimes be confusing at a quick glance. 

Having the option to resub more than once every 24h would also be helpful when reviewing orders in a short amount of time. 

As well as having more information as to why the resubmit/second look was denied.

I would recommend using this software if you intend to ask further questions to your customers and resubmit as their second look option works great.

Riskified has helped immensely in catching shopping patterns amongst fraudsters. The best part of the linking is being able to find other accounts associated with this person and help prevent further fraudulent activities.

As an intensive user of Riskified, one of the things I enjoy the most is the transaction detail and the linked transactions. 
You have an overview of everything that matters about your customer: origin of the transaction, amount, type of card ... Related transactions per customer, IP address, delivery address, among others.
The general view has relatively easy to customize columns, which is much appreciated.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Sometimes the reason for the rejection is not clear, so it is difficult to justify with the client why their transaction will not be processed.
Some false positives (a few in fact) are present which can diminish your reputation as an online seller in front of the community.
On some occasions (a very few) the issuing bank shown is not correct.

I wish that the tool were a bit more specific about the reasons for the decline, and it would be even better if there were suggested talking points for customers who are declined. It also can be frustrating when an order is declined for a customer and we submit the details and for some unknown reason should've actually been approved in the first place.

Riskified does not have good integration with Magento 2. We have been running into many problems. Also we want to see the reason for the decline so we can better explain to customer instead of having to log into Riskified and trying to figure out why the order was declined. If the reason could be included in the declined email that is sent it would be great. Also want to see if there is a way to contest a decline when the customer is adamant that everything is correct.

Fast and simple notifications for each order received which clearly indicates what we need to do next regarding orders.

Sometimes we get decline that should be an approval but no system is perfect and that can usually be resolved with a discussion with the customer. If the customer doesn't enter into a discussion then it was likely a fraud attempt.

**Recommendations to others considering Riskified:**

I installed Riskified years ago via their Shopify app and have been using it since that time. While I can't fault the technology and what it did for us I cannot in good faith recommend Riskified to anyone considering it as a fraud tool.

I have updated this review on 3/10/2019 after we received an email from their Director of Customer Success saying: ...."If you would like to continue using Riskified’s service, we will require a minimum fee of $3,000 per month."....

I suppose our business isn't considered important to Riskified and I'm ok with that as we are a small business so won't make them as much money as other clients. However, if you don't want my business as it is right now, why should I trust you with my business as it grows over time. That is the reason I would not recommend Riskified to others.

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When selling via a shopping cart solution like Shopify, we get limited card information so we can't do manual checks with the issuing banks. To do that would mean we have to comply with a higher PCI Level and use a 3rd party gateway/merchant bank, that isn't very feasible or practical for a small business. This opens us up to fraud but using Riskified allows us to detect and insure against fraud. We haven't had any issue with friendly fraud or chargebacks since using Riskified and new attempts are stopped early.

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use to have a lot of fraud coming from one specific train operator, ever since we integrated Riskified this has become a non-issue. Although it is impossible to protect a business 100% from these issues we now have saved plenty of time and money from the security benefits brought in from Riskfiend.

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Excellent tool to spot fraudulent transactions. The platform is quite intuitive and can be learned in a day. Riskified had made us a couple of training during the first days to learn to use all the features. 
The platform learns very fast all the fraudulent patterns of your business and within second give an answer. The answer is usually very accurate (for sure most exact than ALL the tools of the market we have tried) and when order is declined it shows you different categories of risk (fraudulent, high risk etc) and this allows you to have a better idea of the potential thread. When entering to an order, you will see a self explanatory dashboard with all the information you need to understand the main factors of the decision (location, shipping, velocity etc).
As overall, with this platform we have seen a huge decrease of fraudulent transactions and manual work within weeks.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Process to resubmit for approval an order is quick but very strict. it have improved on the last year but there is still some points that might be improved

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Stop fraudulent orders before the system, avoiding to have stock unnecessarily blocked in orders that are not real/good
- Avoided loosing money and inventory on transactions that will end up in chargebacks
- Reduce the amount of work allocated to fraud checks and charge back resolution practices and free resources for other activities

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

I love using the Riskified Linking Tool. It gives detailed information regarding individual customers. I also like using the filters, for example we had a huge fraud ring recently and we were able to isolate the fraud using a filter for IPs. 

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

There is not much to dislike. Very user friendly, although the new second look feature is not ideal.

Riskified has made reviewing orders a lot easier in our day to day workload. They are able to analyze specific information and link customers together

**What do you like best about Riskified?**

Riskified has allowed us to focus on other parts of our ecomm business. The service they provide to us is reliable and we've been able to improve our order volume and approval rate significantly without much risk.

**What do you dislike about Riskified?**

Chargeback guarantee is limited and not as competitive as other companies that offer similar services. Reports aren't super robust and can be improved. We used to have a dedicated account manager but now everything is centralized, making it a bit difficult to get answers quickly. 

**What problems is Riskified solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Riskified has significantly reduced the resources we need to verify our orders. Our process is more streamlined and it has allowed us to focus on other parts of our business.
