What do you like best about Restaurant365?

The menu selections are great, makes it easy to find specific sources of data and their associated forms

. I'm also a fan of the customize button on the GL Reporting, makes adjusting reports on the fly a breeze! All of the different export options make it much easier for producting journal entry backups too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

The GL reporting comes out wrap text and merged columns, major pain in the butt! We have to format all of the data that is exported because it doesn't export in a format conducive to pivot tables. So for each report I run, I'm spending 20 minutes just validating that the formatted data matches the original output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Restaurant365:

This is a great platform if you need to manage multiple restaurants, I'm waiting to see how our HR incorporates the software to track labor statistics. Make sure you know your needs and have your historical data backed up because all that was populated for us was Journal Entries to represent past transactions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Restaurant365 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nothing much either way, its performing as expected.

We're solving cash reconciliation, tips payable, weekly journal entries to burden the restaurant profit and loss statements. We have a decent sized portfolio of restaurants and managing their books can be a real pain if they're not managed appropriately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

Besides having incredibly smart and helpful team members who are always available to help, the software is a huge improvement from Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. Very easy to use and the fact that it integrates with your POS system is a big bonus. I would highly recommend Restaurant365! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

As a 20+ year user of Quickbooks, I find that the reporting tools are somewhat confusing to use. It typically takes me a few tries to get the proper report to generate. What do you like best about Restaurant365?

After using for a year I'm pretty adjusted to how it works. New features highlighting differences between receiving and electronic invoicing are priceless, before it didn't make sense to even do electronic invoicing. Online banking features and their sort of auto reconcile are really good and save a ton of time monthly. They're very responsive on support and have implemented changes to help fix bugs, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

*Too* customizable - easy to just get way too much in the system with the same information. Security is way too bundled. You can either restrict a lot or nothing. Lots of bugs left including really important stuff like recipe costing not working well. In multi-store setting the bank accounts are tough to work with since you can access a master payor account from locations from which the accounts don't belong. Does not interface with payroll service very well, which is very disappointing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

I like the simple functionality within their app for counting inventory and running through labor. I also like that the account team seems to love doing their accounting within the platform and they have noted a lot of pros compared to QuickBooks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

Being a decent-sized franchisee, we have really run into issues regarding enterprise reporting. We like to look at overall theoretical cogs by location then be able to drill down into the larger variance shops, with 365, we cannot do this as of the time I am writing this. We have pushed them to get this implemented as we think this is very valuable to anyone with over 10 units. A lot of the things we dislike are related to reporting and lack of high-level enterprise reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would make sure that you ask a lot of questions on the platform related to specific functionality that you would like to see. Do not be vague, ask for what you want and make sure they show you a demo on it to ensure it is what you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Restaurant365 has definitely helped us on the accounting side of this and our accounting team loves the product and I think it makes them more efficient and gives them more insight than they previously had. We are also using the inventory module which has certainly helped at a shop level determine cogs variance and give insight into what needs to be monitored and improved in terms of procedures or theft. We would really love for them to incorporate enterprise comparison reports as that will ultimately solve a lot of our problems and give us the exact insight we need. What do you like best about Restaurant365?

Easy to learn and to teach others to use. Lots of data available. The integration with Toast makes tracking my data so easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

Quite frankly R365 is easy to use and gets the job done. Restaurant management isn't rocket surgery but it isn't easy either. R365 is comprehensive in features to cover what we need. Be willing to change how you work to match Restaurant365 and don't go crazy customizing things. That is the way of the dark side. They can customize what needs to be customized but we found it easier once we learned to roll with the flow of it all. What problems is Restaurant365 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Restuarant accounting was more complicated without Restaurant365. We've gained so much efficiency that it is hard to quantify. We have also managed to get everyone on the same page from an accounting stand point. It isn't just the accounting team that is realizing the efficiencies in the process. Before Restaurant365 we had to do inventory with pen and paper. Being able to use a tablet to catch everything live has saved us countless hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

The support team is great and our account rep, Marc is one of the best in the business. Answers to questions are responded to very quickly. I also like that the software has the ability to handle multiple legal entities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

The reporting module is limited. R365 did introduce a new reporting module that has potential but it comes with a bit of a learning curve for businesses that have multiple legal entities and/or don't have plain vanilla operations. The budgeting module works but can be buggy at times.

The catering module may work well for restaurants but is not adequate for an event catering company such as ours as the system is not designed to handle mass orders that are built in advance and require the food orders to be combined into a master ingredient list for chefs and other food support staff. Good Product but Reporting Could Use a Boost. Also, I wouldn't recommend R365 for event catering companies as the system is not designed to handle mass orders that are built in advance and require the food orders to be combined into a master ingredient list for chefs and other food support staff. I don't like that you cannot pay a Customer Payment in the Customer Invoice screen like you can for invoices. I don't like that you cannot delete Commissary Orders if you make a mistake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
