Having served as a CFO for multi-unit restaurant companies for 40 years, I have finally met a product that does everything I need. Inventory contol, menu costing, inventory management, full financials, saving scanned copies, productivity, scheduling assistance, Excel output interface......and more things. Also, their help desk is amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

I love how easy it is to navigate Compeat. There are softwares that can work with Compeat which can eliminate 90% of the data entry for AP teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

Reporting isn't that great with Compeat, you can make it work, but if they could improve this field for financial reporting, it would be incredibly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Restaurant365:

For food services, I think that Compeat is a really great product both for a home office and the store levels. It's easy to train on, easy to navigate and easy to learn. It is not a very complicated system and you can attach back up in two different ways allowing your company to go essentially "paperless" by storing all the files electronically rather than having years of filing cabinets. This is one of my favorite features in Compeat. I think other than reporting, it is a solid product and the ease of it is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Restaurant365 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Compeat as our ERP system, with programs like Plate IQ, we are able to get invoices read and automatically uploaded into the system, P&L reviews are clear and easy to read as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

R365 is a one-stop shop; accounting, HR, scheduling, budgeting, AP processing, the works! R365 has been a diverse tool for our multi-concept restaurant group. The P&L vs. Budget reporting is easy to navigate and control exactly how you'd like to see your restaurant numbers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

The system will require a good amount of groundwork and data entry to produce the automated figures you want to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Restaurant365:

If your company needs organization and solutions, R365 is the program! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

We have been using Restaurant365 for less than 6 months, but we are excited that this software was able to replace 3 other platforms (Accounting Software, Bill Payment Solution, and our Back Office Management). The integration process was more successful with this software than with others in the past because the R365 Team is staffed with individuals that have restaurant experience and understand our basic operations and needs. We love that the software is catered to our industry and has streamlined several of our processes. Their support center and learning academy are great tools that can assist with questions on the fly, or a ticket can be submitted for review. Most of our tickets have been resolved in less than 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

The overall views of data can be redundant or basic so it's sometimes hard to tell what screen you are looking at, but with time, users become familiar. As we get more familiar with the system we may be able to build Dashboards that are more helpful to the users that are not as acclimated with the system. We wish there was a more detailed Audit Trail for certain transactions so we can track edits and coach our team when mistakes are made. We can only currently see the last person that modified. which isn't always helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Restaurant365:

If you have one concept with one POS integrating, it will be less stressful than trying to integrate multiple concepts/brands with multiple POS systems. If you operate with multiple POS's try to switch to one uniform solution if possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Restaurant365 solving and how is that benefiting you?

With the drill-down features on all reports, we have been able to review Profit & Loss statements in a very quick manner. If a GL is incorrect, we can quickly edit and return to the P&L review in just a few clicks. This has been a huge time saver for our Accounting Department. Our operators have also benefited from the budget and scheduling features along with creating checklists in the manager log to eliminate the need for physical checklists and streamline communication. What do you like best about Restaurant365?

I can keep multiple sets of books in one easy to use location and run reports individually or across entities with a few clicks.

The cloud based system allows me to log in from anywhere making my job easier.

The support team is top notch and responds quickly. They communicate well so you aren't left to wonder if they've forgotten about you. Most resolutions have occurred for me in as little as ten minutes but no more than a few hours.

The software itself is user friendly and easily learned. They have excellent training modules that are easy to follow.

User set up is easy and allows you to build roles in pieces so each user only has access to the things they actually need.

The on-boarding process was very smooth. The team was quick to answer questions and actually did most of the mapping for me. Consolidating 21 sets of books into one system could have been a nightmare but they stepped up to the challenge and got me through it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

They do have a reporting functionality that allows for building custom reports however it is an additional module that requires an additional fee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Restaurant365:

If you have more than one location then R365 is the way to go. No switching between books, consolidated reporting is available and easy to use, and vendor integration makes pulling in invoices a breeze. All these things make R365 worth every penny. You will save in man hours much more than you spend on the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Restaurant365 solving and how is that benefiting you?

We went from a two person accounting team down to a single person for 19 locations across two franchises because the software cut out a lot of the redundancy of other programs by performing due to/from calculations automatically and making the banking integration extremely simple. Reconciling is a breeze.

The AP process is also simplified and many vendors can be integrated for automatic upload of invoices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Restaurant365?

I love how you have so many ways to search for accounting transactions and the ability to filter and export into the file format that you need. I also love the visibility of everything. We have several legal entities setup and you can view all of them or filter on what you need. We had Great Plains before and paid duplicate invoices because each legal entity had their own set of COA, Vendors, and Customers. You weren't able to catch mistakes as easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Restaurant365?

The ability to customize reports, such as picking a custom date range. We work with several Franchises that have a different accounting period then us or require weekly sales reporting and the week start date is different. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Restaurant365 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our Company transitioned over to Restaurant 365 in July 2018. That was the best business decision because our staff can continue to do their job virtually anywhere and keep the business running. It has been really noticeable during the shelter at home. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
