I started using Recharge when I first came to Shopify. I found it very easy to import my current subscription customers and data to their platform, which meant very little or no disruption for most of them. I also love that it has the ability to read line item properties from other apps my store uses, letting me capture the information needed for me to serve my customers. Recharge is very great when it comes to billing and monitoring revenue.
We use it daily to view customers' memberships and make edits to billing cycles edit costs adding discount codes which can also serve as pause codes.
It is very easily used by anyone and does not take time to learn at all, it also has a great analysis page where you can view the total amount of orders with how much you make per month and if you dip in sales or rise in sales it is very good at doing that.

We've been using Recharge for almost 3 years now. It's a pretty straightforward set-up process, and there is a lot of functions and ways to upsell within the app. It's fairly easy to get started. Customer support is helpful, though a little slow. The new chat feature helps reduce to 24 hour response time, so we appreciate that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are still a lot of features that are frustrating, and they are constantly raising prices. The new app fee in January will probably force us to look at alternative subscription app options, as it's really not afforable for small businesses. Things like the reward program don't automatically sync, we have to remember to log-in and refresh codes every day. Adding a free box in for a customer is extremely diffuclt, and modifying after renewal day requires reaching out to customer service for help. You can't apply a discount code for a customer whose card was not processed - one way many other companies can reduce customer churn. It's not super user friendly, and our customer service team often has issues with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They are always innovating! We've been with Recharge for 4 years now and over time we've seen many changes - all aimed at making both the customer and seller experience better and more intuitive. Some changes have been small and others a bit more "earth shattering", but in the end they continue to listen to the sellers who hear from the customers on how to make having and managing a monthly subscription better.
Another thing that is right up there with the "Best" things about using Recharge is their customer support. When we have had an issue, their customer support team has been very responsive and quick to help us acheive an acceptable resolution to the situation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Over time we've experienced some limitations with checkout. We started using Recharge checkout and then migrated over to Shopify checkout when it became available. We are now using Shopify payments as well and there seem to be a few extra steps required in issuing a refund. Not a deal breaker by any means but it would be nice to have the refund process through Shopify payments a bit more streamlined for subscriptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recharge is user friendly, and easy to use. On Customers tab, I am able to find all of our subscribers , and once a specific one is selected, the subscriber page has all the needed details in one place. - Would love to see more integration with Shopify, rather than just a link to the customer profile
- Sometimes, a timeline event isn't as detailed as I'd prefer. For example, it will just say "customer swapped product" instead of saying which products were swapped themselves
- Would also love to see an option built out for upcoming orderS, rather than just the next one upcoming! As a tool, it is incredibly easy to manage and everything seems so easy. I use it every day at work to manage subscriptions from our customers. All the details are very well compressed on one page and it makes actions, such as pausing a subscription a piece of cake. It allows me to buy and redeem gift cards for a variety of merchants and services.
