What I like best about Progress ShareFile is its strong focus on security and ease of use. Sometimes the upload speed can be slower than expected when dealing with very large files, especially if the internet connection isn’t strong. The mobile app could also be more polished, as it lacks some of the features available on the desktop version. I miss the possiblity to link documents to each other (create relations between documents) inside of ShareFile.

Another weakness is that approvals/comments on the work flow do not leave a visible trace in the document. If you want visible approvals, you have to create a separate signature cycle. While I'm overall very satisfied with Progress ShareFile, one minor frustration is that it's not always easy to quickly see the history of files I've shared and with whom. It's easy to set up, and security seems very strong in comparison to most other systems. Administrative tools are powerful and easy to use. Plus, I get document versioning, which can be handy when files get corrupted during power outages.

Enterprise-grade security that’s actually usable

Customer support since Progress acquisition is some of the worst within the industry. It's impossible to get a response from support, the partner programs team, or the account manager. I highly advise staying away from this company. As of today (November 13) we have been awaiting an answer to a question for over 2 months (September 11) and have been ignored entirely.
