I was looking for a tool that would easily and quickly allow users to submit a large number of short audio files. Phonic has proven to be an excellent tool for this purpose and my test users reported being very happy with the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The audio quality with submission via phone was of poor quality and I had to request users to resubmit their audio clips using a laptop or desktop. I would also like to give users the option to submit survey answers via text response OR audio, but it seems at the moment that including both requires them to make submissions through both formats. I engage in sociolinguistic research, and the pandemic had a considerable impact on the ways I collect data. I could not interview participants face-to-face, and that was a huge problem. With Phonic I can do that, and what's even better, I can also avoid the observer's paradox by having participants reply to the survey in a time of their choosing, without seeing an unfamiliar face in front of them, and while they're in the comfort of their own home. It's just fantastic.

Moreover, the staff at Phonic are great at getting back to you whenever you have a question in a matter of minutes! It is a great tool, and I only wish I had come across it earlier.

I had to download each audio data individually from a respondent (I had 40 to 60 questions for each respondent). I wish it could download all the audio answers for each respondent for easy data management. It took me a long time to download the 40-60 responses.
