How easy they make it to get up and running. Selling your membership online used to require building funnels, websites, sales pages, etc. With Patreon, I've been able to sell my membership with such ease! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fees are a higher than you'd expect to pay if you were using a merchant processing company, so that is something to consider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Patreon is a platform where content creators can interact with their patrons and offer sponsorship opportunities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the pro version of the software is a little expensive for small business owners/content creators Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Built in merch system is really useful for creators. It's great that you can customize your fan base's level of involvement with tiers and brand elements like color and logo and welcome notes. Very simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There could be some additional features like event creation. It's great that there is Google Analytics tracking, but there could also be more connectivity to other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very easy to use and get set up and started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some fees get taken out each month which are pretty steep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing that I dislike from Patreon. It is very hands-off software for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The company idea as a whole isnt being done a lot elsewhere! its a great way for fans to be able to support the creators they love, and it is very customizable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really wish the website was searchable or would recommend new artists to support, so you can be found organically. They are also changing the website TOO MUCH, especially the landing pages of the creators. patreon- PLEASE STOP DOING THIS !! it now asks for money upfront instead of letting you read the creators story first, which makes it look greedy and awful.. They just keep making changes and having issues, when it really was good before and just needed to be improved upon (like the pledges not going through and other issues that really get in the way of the entire function of the website! ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Patreon is that it is easy to use and very simple. You only need to create an account, then provide some basic information, connect social media accounts, set up a payment method. That's it, you're ready to earn and receive money for your creations.
In addition, Patreon also has a very good customer support team, in addition to the detailed FAQs on their website, when you need assistance on any issue, they will answer you very quickly. You can even contact them via Twitter, I have tried it a few times and they respond faster than other methods.
One more thing I like about Patreon is that it has fewer restrictions on the type of projects you can create than most of its competitors on the market. Their approval process is also quick and simple, I don't need to provide too much information to get them to accept my campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Patreonx's operating model is quite different from some other competitors in the market, it's worked as recurring funding rather than a one-time campaign. In my opinion this can be a difficult because usually people just want to donate only one time. When you see it as recurring payment, it will make people think twice before sending you a payment.
In addition, Patreon does not have any promotion tools to help you advertise your campaign to reach more people. For example, some other platforms allow integration of their services with Google AdWords and Facebook ad. This allows you to introduce your campaign to more people, helping you make more money. But for now, Patreon doesn't provide us with any of these tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've found that those who contribute to the project can easily do this, and the overall setup of the account is very simplified. This is a huge help because we have very strict deadlines for this round of funding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This may be due to a lack of utilization, but I think there may be more interactive features to tag Patreon accounts/activities into our target market. We use a lot of typical channels, social media, etc., but it would be better if you made some suggestions for best practices or research provided by software users. As a creator you can build a connection with supporters. You can set up tiers for monthly support with incentives. It's a very social platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At some points there is a lack of guidelines. Almost any project is OK and if the creator don't feel like giving the incentives (promised to supporters), then it's OK too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
