Patchworks stands out for its ease of use. The dashboard is clean and makes it simple to track data flows and spot issues quickly. While at the very beginning it might be confusing which shapes do what, Patchworks Academy course is very helpful, intuitive and easy to follow with some great examples.
I also appreciate how smooth the setup process is for most integrations—it feels like the platform anticipates common use cases, which saves a lot of time (f.e. predefined requests).
Logs for each flow are very well built, with easy of access in mind. It's very helpful to be able to see the payload per each step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it's annoying to need to click many buttons to get back or to a certain page, but most probably it comes to getting used to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Patchworks is an integrarion partner that can truly build custom integrations for businesses operating at scale. We were influenced by companies like Gym Shark and Lounge Underwear - if they use Patchworks for their intergrations, they must be solid! Patchworks integrates Shopify, Netsuite and PeopleVox for us.
We were really lucky to work with one of their super devs (Ben Cleminson) when our integration was being built (he came in as an SOS), and over the years even though he has moved into more senior positions he has always been there to lend a helping hand or escalate support tickets if we're in trouble. Overall I find their management team to be responsive and very willing to assist if there is a problem to be worked through.
Their Patchworks service dashboard is very easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had a bad initial experience with Patchworks when our integration was being developed, but Patchworks recognised this when we were in the middle of our go-live and assigned one of their top developers to our project to ensure it got across the line, as we were doing our go-live the week before Black Friday in 2021. So even though the build out and go-live was initially a massive struggle, they did sort it out for us by allocating the right person to the job when it mattered the most.
Being located in New Zealand, I do sometimes find that the support team is not very responsive to our needs, due to the different timezone we operate in. But that being said, if I'm ever having trouble getting something resolved, I'm able to reach out to the Patchworks management team who have always sorted it out for me by escalating it through the appropriate support channels. Patchworks has provided a great stock and order sync between SAP and Shopify. It is so refreshing to know that the stock is correct on our website.
The support team are also very speedy at resolving issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no downsides, love the product. However there have been a few issues where I needed to work with Patchworks support to resolve. For example, products and stock not syncing correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We went through a large greenfield transformation in 2021 and Patchworks played a key role in supporting this complex implementation.
Their iPaaS offering (which, has been upgraded since the implementation) and their Project Manager helped us get the transformation over the line as well as provide critical go live support.
Their new platform goes a long way in placing them as one of the best integration platforms out there. It provides great visibility of your services as well as easily accessible run logs to check failed imports so that that you can remedied issues with speed. It also allows you to create your own integrations in an intuitive way, however this may require someone with a technical background, especially if you require customisations (but this is true across all offerings of this type). Previously. Patchworks implemented their solution in-house, which was great for us as they knew their product intimately. However, they now only offer the iPaaS product and you would need to go through their partners/agencies to actually implement the software.
This is a sign that they are growing and their product is popular, therefore they just can't take on all of the work themselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Patchworks enables retailers to confidently integrate the myriad elements of the tech stack from the customer facing technology online and instore, through to the tools and resources their teams, suppliers and partners are using in their back office. Furthermore, their product has grown up with a range of high volume businesses, meaning that they're uniquely placed to robustly support retailers during peak trading periods.
As an integration partner of Patchworks we love their WYSIWYG editor and the ability it gives us to rapidly help clients and deploy new integrations for them. We also love the fact that beacuse, as a product, it is easy to use, yet powerful, we can focus on adding value and delivering on more complex edge cases for clients, whilst they're not locked into relying on us to explain their 'magic box' to them. They can take as much (or as little) ownership of the platform as they want to.
As consultants and engineers, the more we know about the products and tools we leverage for our clients the better and Patchworks' approach is excellent. They provide comprehensive online documentation that is updated regularly and they openly share what's new and what's changed via their release notes. Their leadership team also go out of their way to spread that knowledge and to share their own content around new use cases, endpoints and integration approaches, which is invaluable.
Patchworks' blueprints enable us to generate and deploy proof of concept and customised integrations for our clients quickly and easily and also provide us with a route to collaborate with Patchworks and the rest of their Integration Partner community on providing retailers with public blueprints for common use cases that they can install and leverage in a single click. There's nothing we dislike about Patchworks or their platform. But that's not say it's perfection, and at the time of writing, Patchworks would be even better if:
- Patchworks' error reporting and logging is excellent, especially the ability to review payloads at each step of a process flow to diagnose the root cause of an issue. Overall reporting on daily running could be improved, particularly with regards to operational dashboards and traffic lighting for specific data types, processes and - as a partner - clients.
- For retailers that are starting out on Patchworks with an App, or on their Standard plan, there could be more clarity with regards to how costs may develop as the complexity of their integrations grows and / or they process more transactions and data on the platform. We just completed quite a complex integration between a legacy ERP and Shopify Plus using Patchworks and it saved us a huge amount of time on the project. We had a site on Shopify with 7 instances and instead of having to write 7 different integrations, we could write one and share it across each stores. The beauty is, when we update one instance of the integration, all the others get updated!
The UI is really easy to use and makes finding things really easy. The run logs are super useful in being able to debug your flows and there's a range of pre-built shapes you can use to help build out your flows.
We got up and running really quickly with the pre-built Shopify connector which had all the endpoints available to us and when we needed a new connector creating for our legacy ERP, the Patchworks team created it for us!
Overall the best thing I can say about Patchworks is the support we've receieved throughout our project. We were stuck on an issue and couldn't figure out where the problem was - we jumped on a call with their support team and it was solved in half an hour! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although the platform is low code / no code, if you need to do any complex stuff then you still need a developer to write custom scripts, as was our case. However the script engine lets you use whichever language you like which is super helpful.
I'd say that if you have a really straightforward integration between two platforms, most people could use the platform with a bit of training but if you need anything custom or complex, you will need a developer. That's not a Patchworks issue really as it can't write code for you but it's to bear in mind that if you have a complex integration to work on, Patchworks isn't a silver bullet but it will help you in so many other areas.
Roadmap suggestion for the PW team - integrate AI to write code for you, then it would truly be no code/lo-code! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a very versitile system allowing unparralleled data manipulation to transfer data from any ecommerce platform to our slightly bespoke ERP system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionaly we have struggled with first line support taking a day or 2 to escalate support queries leading to slighlty longer resolutions than we would like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Patchworks excels at simplifying complex integrations, especially between platforms like Shopify and legacy ERPs. The low-code interface is intuitive and allows for rapid setup and management of integrations, which has saved us significant time and effort. Additionally, the customer support is top-notch, with the team readily available to assist with any issues, making the entire process smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Patchworks is user-friendly, more complex integration scenarios may still require the involvement of a developer to write custom scripts. This can add a layer of complexity for non-technical users who might not have the necessary skills. However, the platform does provide flexibility in scripting languages, which is a helpful feature. We've recently used Patchworks for a recent integration project with one of our ecommerce clients integrationing into a legacy ERP for stock, orders etc
The team offered great support and helped us solve a number of tricky set up issues pertaining to our clients requirements.
The nature of it's lo code, no code architecture allows for a combination of both developer and non developer teams to work together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's a learning curve like any software and we were an early vendor to adopt their new lo code tech stack and lean into their go to maket strategy where it's vendor led, vs project delivery by the internal patchworks team. This meant both sides leaning into a collaborative approach to delivery. We are now very confident with both the platform and best practice approaches to integration. Patchworks helps us integrate Shopify with almost every third-party system used by our clients. Historically this has been a pain-point for Swanky's clients, and typically required custom middleware which introduced both risk and complexity to platform migration projects.
Our technical teams enjoy working with Patchworks' product and teams. We are well aligned at a partnership level and very pleased with the positive impact that working with Patchworks is having for both our clients and our own business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is some prevailing negative market sentiment about previous versions of Patchworks' product. We're not seeing the same issues in the (excellent) new product, but are having to do some additional educational work to clarify that the new platform is different from the legacy offering.
