What do you like best about OpsRamp?

Ease of use, single pane of glass platform, an abundant amount of out-of-box monitoring capability, extensive capability for custom monitoring development, and relevant integrations to 3rd party platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpsRamp?

Lack of support presence in the US. There is staff in the US, but not engineers capable of performing in-depth platform troubleshooting. Majority of the support SMEs are located in India. Takes an extended amount of time to resolve support cases. When resolutions are performed there are very few details on what was performed and documented into a support case. As a channel partner, we do not feel well taken care of since we are an MSP who is promoting the platform and reselling the services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering OpsRamp:

Please consider OpsRamp when you are looking for a platform that has a high amount of out-of-box capability. The ease of use and single pane of glass approach aids engineers in being more efficient in daily operations. Not to mention if you have custom monitoring requirements, the OpsRamp platform is very accomodating to both Windows and Linux distributions natively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving many issues and performance problems in the beginning phases versus in a reactive model once an issue has created an outage. The benefit comes from having proper visibility of the entire ecosystem of a customer's environment and being able to prevent business-impacting events. We are also able to provide tangible facts when tweaking performance or simply providing long-term recommendations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bill Talbot of OpsRamp

What do you like best about OpsRamp?

- Alert processing can be very fast; events triggered will be available for downstream consumption within seconds.

- Process automation/remediation is well thought out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpsRamp?

- Machine learning as such is no more than a proof of concept, riddled with broken backend-services, and resource limits that are not advertised or transparent - most of it outright unusable.

- The API is a mess, different endpoints of the same API will use different syntax and not support the same features/calls, with some of the endpoints being outright broken.

- The web interface is hands down the worst interface I've seen, ever.

- Lots of bugs, inconsistencies, bad design and showstoppers plague the platform as a whole.

- Getting the engineering team involved requires an act of congress, and after much to and fro, will lead exactly nowhere.

- Support is non-existent, obvious bugs/shortcomings are being sold as 'features', when clearly they're not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering OpsRamp:

Stay away until the platform matures beyond a proof-of-concept phase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

All in all we've created more problems by using opsramp; we've realized no benefits whatsoever at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The monthly invoicing and reconciliation of licenisng takes more time and effort that I feel that it should based on the feedback from my team. I feel that we have to put too much effort into paying our bill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

OpsRamp alerts export feature

Metrics collection

Kubernetes integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpsRamp?

Delay in prioritizing OpsRamp bug fixes from support.

Multiple calls are required to make OpsRamp support understand the issue.

ServiceNow push model integration failures are not notified, hence engineer has to manually retry every single time.

ServiceNow integration retry feature and corresponding API does not work in OpsRamp.

Gateway upgrade option in UI doesnot indicate the progress percentage upgraded in UI.

Agent and Gateway upgrade most of the time fails and will be rectified after opening a support ticket.

Root Cause Analysis must be provided for all the bugs filed with support along with solution proposed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpsRamp solving and how is that benefiting you?

Integration of OpsRamp and ServiceNow to push Kubernetes alerts to ServiceNow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
