The bank feed suiteapp is difficult to use and is known to break frequently. This is something that has disappointed us compared to our previous abilities in Quickbooks. I really hope there will be improvements to this function in the future. The implementation can be difficult as there is so much configuration to complete. NetSuite is very customizable for companies with a diverse business. A full time admin and dev are able to continuously enhance the system to help our users gather the financial information they need for day to day business. It also integrates well with other external systems such as Salesforce, Avalara, and MuleSoft as well as custom built internal systems. There is a definite learning curve to use NetSuite. The UI is pretty basic and leaves a lot to be desired. The admin menus are overwhelming and make it hard to locate things. Using the global search is the key to navigating the system. Important to have a team constantly learning the system to serve as backups to keep the system running. NetSuite has significantly improved our efficiency by integrating all different processes and enabling our team to provide accurate information. Also, the ACS team has been really helpful everytime we need it. We are using NS currently to follow up projects, and it's really easy to implement and to use. I love that NetSuite is so customizable and you can truly tailor it to your business. There is plenty of help docs and support teams to help answer most questions you may have. My current only thing I dislike about NetSuite is the Lead/Prospect/Customer lifecycle is only built for one time customers - there’s no way (unless you customize, but still doesn’t fully work the way we want) to transition back to a prospect to go through the sales cycle again for subscription based products. The pricing module is pretty simple. Not a lot of flexibility with complex pricing. In some ways it is nice when tasks are locked down to certain roles and admins but it can also be a hinderince if you are trying to change something and you don't have the approval. Customizing is often more complicated than it should be. Creating custom user roles is way too in-depth and usually doesn't turn out the way you need it to. The role permission features are in too many different locations from the main menu bar, which makes it difficult to create SOPs and to train your team. There are too many fields named the same thing with not enough detail in the description window when adding fields to a custom report. NetSuite is not flexible enough for analysis, especially the inherent model relationship makes it challenging to manage and analyze the data.
