Overall Review Sentiment for Acumatica

We like both the depth of features across the varied modules and the flexibility of the platform to be extended/modified. We also like the partner-based model, as that is what we have had for years with Dynamics SL. With our extensive SL experience, we have found our implementation of Acumatica to be easier than we expected.
They continue to add innovations which is at a rate we love seeing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall, we do have significant complaints about Acumatica. I would say we would like to see more low-code/no-code workflow capabilities across the platform. Also, the security setup is complex (albeit powerful), so continuing to enhance the ease-of-use of the application security would be desirable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Built from the ground up for cloud. Powerful but easy to use with a fairly simple interface and clean design. Because it's built for the cloud the features are extensible through their entire market place of partners that add amazing functionality. It's amazingly fast too. You would think that it's a native application the way it generates reports and completes robust tasks.
The feature set is constantly growing because of the yearly release cycle so new features are always on the horizon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do wish things like creating reports, big imports and creating widgets and dashboards were more user accessible and that we didn't need to rely on our implementation partner so much. While I like the fact that new features are always being added the 2 releases per year always makes you feel like you're behind or missing out on the cutting edge. It isn't easy to pinpoint in a review the high-level areas of Acumatica that are most favorable. Everything is modular, so you can use what you need. Everything is customizable to fit your needs as well. If something you need isn't there and can't be customized, there's a marketplace to find a certified partner to integrate a solution. Already have a solution? You can integrate those with an API connection. There's no downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't much to dislike about Acumatica. It gets the job done. In doing so, it's not the most flashy ERP. Their focus is to get the data you need. And as such, they don't spend a lot of time making it look pretty. If you want pretty and don't care about functionality then you're probably not reading this review. Acumatica is very user-friendly compared to our prior program. I love that it is growing with many new technologies and integrating with many programs, such as Teams. Acumatica is also a great source to access while out on a job site, which is a tremendous help! We cannot wait to get the program all up to speed and using the program day in and day out with all employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Difficult to manage in the beginning if you do not know what you are doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The customizability of the platform. My organization's primary use case for Acumatica is Time and Billing. That said, everything beyond that immediate use case that we have thrown at has run without issue. Complicated commission account, payment collections, notification campaigns, it can do it all. Acumatica is not very forgiving when it comes to unmanaged coding practices. Additionally, any 3rd party support vendors, in our experience, typically do not adhere to Acumatica's defined coding standards. That said, that shortfall can be corrected by licensing Acumatica's Premier Support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Acumatica has an incredibly powerful off the shelf suite of features that can be implemented with minimal customization but working with an Acumatica parter you can truly personlize the software to meet your business needs. Most importantly Acumatica listens to customer feedback and truly wants to ensure that you achieve the best user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with any ERP system Acumatica is an investment, and being that they are quickly growing and releasing new features having too many customizations can lead to an arduos version upgrade process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We like that Acumatica is consistantly releaseing major and minor updates and always striving to imporove their system. Their customization platform is also amazing. We have the ability to modify all parts of the system, adding fields, logic, screens in an upgrade safe way. We have minimal issues with our customizations conflicting with major updates. Customer support is also exceptional, the case portal is well organized and the responses are timely and they strive to stay on point to resolve the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their Report Designer has many limitations which requires alot of creative thinking to get the results needed. General inquiries also have limitations but have improved with new releases. The Dashboards also have limitations and can be tempermental to work with and modify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using this product since 2014 (version 4.2). The changes each year continue to impress. Acumatica continues to prove they are a customer/user driven platform that takes our feedback and considers ideas for system-wide changes. I've seen this come to life year after year. The resources available (Acumatica OOTB Help, Online Community, Acumatica Open University, VAR/Partner, etc.) give me confidence I'm not alone if help is needed. Acumatica is proving scalable and has helped us as we've grown from 25M to 45M revenue since 2014. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with any software, it doesn't answer every business need without some customization. However, Acumatica continues to improve the "low-code no-code" functionality allowing me, the System Administrator, to build custom processes, add custom fields, and automated Business Events. So...it's hard to count this as a dislike, since every customer is likely to need specific customizations to these concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Acumatica is made for Construction. The software speaks the language of construction and understands whats most important to me. Acumatica uses data to give me the information I need when I need it and the flexibilty to tailor the experince to each role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Acumatica has a tendency to be a bit ruthless - This isn't Quickbooks! If you make a mistake, you cant just go in a change the number. For accountants, this is probably music to your ears. For end users, you may need to do some extra coaching to ensure people know how to use the system before turning them loose. The guardrails are strict, but ensure your data is good. The best about Acumatica to me is the fact that it is highly customizable. Without even needing to code, you can utilize GIs to manipulate and create almost anything when it comes to the data within Acumatica. Coded customizations and 3rd Party softwares further that capability.
Another thing I like is that they have a wide and responsive community forum. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the things I dislike about Acumatica is that it is very tough to undo miniscule mistakes when it comes to receiving, invoicing, shipping, etc. While yes in a robust operation, these errors shouldnt happen if a company has scanners/flushed out processes but for smaller companies where human error and manual processes are prevalent it can provide lots of hardships trying to fix the error.
