What do you like best about N-able N-Sight RMM?

What do you dislike about N-able N-Sight RMM?

Take Control has trouble working on some domain controllers and N-able's tech support hasn't been able to fix it. Sometimes checks or features like AV just stop working and have to spend time getting it to work, usually entailing contacting tech support. Take Control doesn't include a screenshot feature or a way to see if system is idle. There isn't much evidence of platform improvement - it's had the same old-fashioned interface for many years. Also, our account rep flat out lied to us about promo pricing periods and ended up costing us a few thousand dollars that nobody at N-Able seems to care about. What do you like best about N-able N-Sight RMM?

N-Sight is great, able to manage endpoints, the backend, really great UI, pretty straight forward and lets you see clearly is connected, options on how to manage or edit systems, such as Patch management and more. I really love N-Sight over other remote management service available. Getting started is simple too, just had my account made, and was gliding through features and tools right from the get go. N-able's customer support team is amazing, they get back to us very fast and prompt with various answers or solutions to issues or concerns we have. What do you dislike about N-able N-Sight RMM?

N-Sight is pretty solid, covers most of my daily MSP daily needs and uses, I have no real issues with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

many useful pieces of information all ready on the dashboard of my PC. Difficult to say what is not liked. In terms of Solution, there is a lot to work on and probably never usable for small and medium-small Clients. Technically impeccable for total control over large Clients. I find the simple but efficient operational concept preferable to more elaborate and ultimately dispersive visualization models. All the functionality of the Client's IT infrastructure must always be efficient during the daily action of their work, and therefore monitoring and intervening at any moment on the HW and SW material is essential to ensure security and reliability in the continuation of the work. The user interface can feel outdated, and in some cases onboarding devices and assets can fail, for example installs of EDR sometimes fail. For the most part this isn't an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about N-able N-Sight RMM?

The product is easy to use and easy to implement. I use it daily every morning. I've become proficient with monitoring templates and automation which has greatly improved my onboarding and operational efficiency. Customer support is often very helpful and this quite a bit of documentation, recordings, office hours, and boot camps. No company I know does more to educate their partners. Tasks sometimes execute when they should and sometimes they are greatly delayed. I know there is work being done in this regard. I'd like to see some consistency and stability. Also, more reports need to be available in PDF form not .CSV and .XML. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the main problems is that certain advanced configurations are not well documented, which can take time to resolve. However, this also benefits me, as it forces me to dig deeper into the tool, resulting in a better understanding of the system and more efficient use in the long run. It is set up, but I'm not sure if this is working properly I have seen a few times of users getting a pop up of their device being compromised and the only way to get it to go away is to power completely off and back on and I can't have this happening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about N-able N-Sight RMM?

Before I used the dashboard, I watched at least 20 short videos in their Youtube account to familiarize with the dashboard. These short videos are only around 1-2 minutes. After that, It was smooth logging in and adding my devices. The dashboard is pretty straightforward and just looking at it, I know what to click and do so it didn't take long for the implementation to complete and add my devices to appear in the dashboard. Running the default checks is automatic right after adding a device which I really like. There's an option to add more checks but I think the default ones are already good enough.

One thing I also like is the Script Manager. I don't know how to script but Script Manager I can just go into the pre-made cookbooks, download them and start running as an Automated task on my device. I haven't done it but they also have integrations with PSA, Backup and Recovery, as well as Password manager and more.

The N-Able Me portal is also a helpful tool for documentation and support. It's good to have a single console to do both. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the short waiting time to install the agent but it's really good to have like a loading bar to know where you are in the installation. I haven't had any unsuccessful installation but I don't know what will happen if there is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Going around to customers physically is a tediuos task. Having an RMM solution to monitor their devices is a must. From reactive approach, I love being proactive to these devices. What do you like best about N-able N-Sight RMM?

Bringing of multiple products into one single pane is extremely useful and not hainvg to check multiple dashboards for separate checks saves a lot of time. This has been a great feature for a number of years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about N-able N-Sight RMM?

Over the past few years, some of the integrated features have been migrated off to separate dashboards and while the customers were told tht fuller integration is planned some of this has still not been competed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is N-able N-Sight RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?

We used to use the integrated MDM but Android support finished few years ago and it still has not been replaced. This was very disappointing and we had to find an alternative solution.

EDR with Sentinel One works very well and the product is very good. We can offer it as an upgrade to the standard AV to our customers and it helps them meet their compliance requirements.

RMM enables us to easily monitor all of our customers' enpoints and provide remote support wherever they are. Asset tracking is also very useful, although it could be more flexible with reporting functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about N-able N-Sight RMM?

I like that reporting, creating reports on your agents, and services is user friendly. Take Control is one of the best remote KVM options that is probably most competitive to Connectwise ScreenConnect. This platform seems to be the most feature parity to the platform I am most familiar with.

Overall performance is good compared to others like Kasaya, Teamviewer, Ninja, and so on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about N-able N-Sight RMM?

I wished that patch management worked more reliably. When bundling and using S1 EDR with N-able N-sight the agent filepaths for patch manager, File Cache Service, Advanced Monitor Agent were automatically added for the S1 console. Going back to fix were S1 has created possible issues with the agent services.

I wished we had the ability to shange or update the email messages with our public dns for the automated emails for user accounts, MFA resets, user account password resets and email alerts.

I think the N-able notification icon custom badging/branding should be free of charge.

Wish Take Control sessions worked with Linux servers, desktops and appliances, even a remote CLI take control for linux servers and devices would be good. Having S1/EDR automatically install on Linux servers, workstations and appliances after N-able agent installation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Remote management.

Patch Management in the place of WSUS for AD resources and servers.

Remote background access for trouble shooting.
