Instead of just taking written "tasks" and manually moving them to the next day, Motion automatically takes my task list and prioritizes them based on by availability, so I really appreciate being able to do that without having to worry about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A few more features would be better, such as searching tasks, being able to update calendar events, and adding some people to events. Not major issues - just ideas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motion has finally kept me from missing deadlines internally! As a tax manager responsible for over 300 filings, I was able to keep on track during tax season, and easily work with partners to show them my weekly workload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one feature I would like to see implemented is bulk adding of tasks - if I have a spreadsheet of clients, tasks and due dates, I would love to be able to import from that instead of a manual input. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The AI auto scheduler is good, it comes with google calendar sync and eliminates mental fatigue on decision making process and you dont wonder what to do next, if you need a system or hierarchy for this, its great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Charged twice by usemotion, they assured me they'd refund me, and it's been almost a month with nothing received on my end, their customer support ignores it and connects you to a chat bot.
Even the trial of seven days has a shady system going on, after expiring, you're charged a full year by default with no option to access a monthly subscription unless you contact them directly, which again you're gonna be put on hold on a chat bot, until they decide if they wanna get back to you or not by a real person on the customer support.
Ultimately what really did it is that they now auto archive tasks and dont let you keep an active backlog, just another feature that implies they are smarter than everyone else about what you need yourself, instead of allowing you the free will to decide yourself for you
I've tried cancelling my subscription and get back a refund for the one that was double charged but of course, usemotion team sees no urgency on this. I wonder if there's even a customer support at all. Not a good look for a startup with lots of bells and whistles about revolutionizing the way one person works by speeding up your workflow while simultaneously being a drag on your life's finance and logistics. I'd give less than a one star but this site won't allow that.
Usemotion changed the terms on archiving your tasks without your consent, charged twice for a full year, they change the rules and the system you bought mid subscription but are skeptical of refunding or cancelling your plan as byproduct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When you have a to-do list that never shrinks, it can be overwhelming. Motion is the only answer I've found to help with that. It schedules all of your tasks for you, and if you don't complete a task, it just schedules it for another time. You can recurring tasks and order tasks by priority. Some features I'd like to see in Motion are the ability to adjust the priority of items so that if two things are both due soon and high priority, you can pick which one Motion should prioritize. Also, the mobile app is nearly unusable. I'd like for it to be on par with the website itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about it is how it takes stress from planning long-term projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you set up templates or projects with many tasks, there's no way to click on the next one to move on to edit or edit a couple in a bundle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motion combines meeting scheduling with a good reminder system for tasks that are otherwise forgotten forever Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It rapidly loses its value if you as a user are not actively following the planned schedule and instead do things in accordance to your whim. But it can still provide value even in this case as Motion will remind you Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am a working mother of two and a full-time student working on a psychology degree. Motion has been an invaluable resource for keeping me productive during my study times. It helps keep me motivated and on task! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing that I wish Motion had was the ability to set reminders or notifications on the calendar or mobile app. I get them on my desktop app, but it would be so helpful if I could get them without the desktop app being open. Also. I would love the ability to view projects in the mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Re-plans dynamically and it automatically re-scheules unless you mark it as complete. Tasks flow arounf things in one or more other calenders - it's super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The phone app leaves a lot to be desired and some of it takes a little getting used to (such as how to make a task at a set time). It's also pricey for an individual, but probably well worth it when buying as a company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very intelligent lile an AI. It structures slots based on your tasks, deadlines and importance. If something is not complete it will automatically reschedule. Very helpful for those who have adhoc things come up. The jobs where you could be needed randomly at any time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Portal is quite dull and not well interactive on the phone. If it could be more to live and light. Also if the scheduleder had a mode to appear on my echo and tablet as my next task list...with motivational quotes and timers. Etc I can show more on this and think many would love this feature. I like the idea of being able to just dump tasks in as soon as I think of them and leave it to the AI to schedule everything. I also really like the calender scheduling feature that creates snippets, I would pay just for that feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a bunch of obviously missing features (e.g searching your tasks) and a lot of bugs. It used to be a web-app/chrome extension and the switch to desktop is strictly worse. The desktop app still requires internet access to function at all so there's little benefit to the desktop version and things like the task banner no longer appear where you're working.
