They automatically help you to reschedule your tasks if you don't complete them. This is very useful if you aren't good at estimating how long it takes to complete your tasks or if you easily get distracted by other events Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The desktop app can be buggy at times and is not as fast as I would like it to be. Hence, there are I am too lazy to organise my tasks and i end up not using motion for a week or so. The unusable mobile app also makes me use Motion less Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Let me start by saying, I am a huge fan of Motion! This tool has become an integral part of my daily routine, and helps me stay on top of my work and get more done with less effort.
One of my favourite features of Motion is its automation and AI capabilities. With just a few clicks, it helps me plan my day across many time zones, schedule meetings, and build a to-do list that works for me. And the best part? It's incredibly intuitive, so I don't have to waste time trying to figure out how to use it.
I love its seamless integration with Google Calendar. As someone who relies heavily on my calendar to manage my time, having everything - meetings and tasks - in one place has been a game-changer. Now, I can easily work around my meeting commitments and find time for deep, focused work on my most creative tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The mobile app is not as helpful to me as the awesome desktop or web-based app. While I appreciate the convenience of being able to access my tasks and schedule on-the-go, I find that the mobile app is not as user-friendly as the other versions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I loved starting to use Motion. It took me 1-2 hours to gather all my to-do lists and Google Tasks, organise them and input them. After that, I could already feel the pressure of doing work off me shoulders. I stopped thinking "Should I prioritize this task or that one??" It gave me a lot of anxiety to consantly re-asking myself the same questions... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think I'd like to be able to input task in High-Medium-Low priority WITHOUT having to also input a deadline. A lot of my tasks don't have deadlines but still have a priority order. I tried giving them deadlines 6 month from now but my OCD really didn't like to have "false" deadline. I'd love to be able to give priority order without deadlines. I was one of the earliest adopters of Motion and has been using it ever since. The complete market hole this tool plugs is great. I have tried everything, from MS ToDo to Asana. None offer the automatic task scheduling intertwined with calendar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like everything. A killer feature suggestion (I've given many as an early adopter) would be to be able to seamlessly switch a calendar a meeting is attached to. I sync 20 calendars, would be a lot of help not needing to delete and recreate.
Also, when we transitioned into this project management style view - I did not like it. Simple tasks, with simple and clear buttons was much better UX. Now I get the projecting features and I use them a lot of well, but it is very cluttered.
When adding a new task with Ctrl+Space, I need to be able to select the project tag to which attach the task to! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the easy functionality of using Motion to categorise and track my projects and tasks. I can do this using deadlines, priority and it keeps me on track by letting me know if a deadline is going to be passed. It will then automatically redorder my tasks. Takes the hard work out of project and task management.
I also love that it includes a calendar schedular similar to calendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I preferred their cloud-based software as opposed to the desktop app now have as it seems to be grunty and takes up a lot of memory on my slower computers (not to so slow it doesn't work, but just sluggish). Also the seperate app means its something else to open as oposed to it always being open with chrome. I wish there was an option of both. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motion acts as a basic project manager in scheduling tasks based on importance and deadline around the meetings and events with fixed times.
More importantly, when something new pops up or something changes, Motion reschedules all the tasks FOR you. You don't have to spend a ton of time rejuggling everything. And more importantly, it will tell you when you have run OUT of time. Which is a great moment to reprioritise or seek out assistance or delegation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of integrations with things like project management tools and zapier, despite being heavily requested but the community, has been frustrating to work around.
The interface could be more user friendly with views of which
Possible, but it is creating some double entry which reduces the time saving benefits of Motion Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It automatically grabs all my to-do list items and squeezes them into the time that exists for me. It's helped me to know what's realistic and what's not because very often I'm trying to fit in more than is physically possible with my time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It only schedules things in for 2 weeks at a time. I feel like it could schedule my whole year, but I'd be happy if it could do 6 weeks...or just up to where my to-do list ends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really enjoy the feature of setting a total time for my task and then having the AI set up my calendar schedule. It really helps me visualize how I can get all these work done before the deadline. And the auto-scheduling feature is also super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
After I put in many tasks, the entire thing starts to become less tractable. It will be nice if I can search in kanban or my list of tasks. It is often hard for me to find things. I also hope the notification banner can have a "completed" button so I don't have to go into the Motion app to toggle my task completed.
I would like to know some tricks about how to integrate Motion with other apps to help solve problems better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motion is extremely helpful with prioritizing. It naturally figures out based on timing and urgency what you should be working on. As life goes on and more things to do come up, I've found Motion really helpful with keeping my schedule organized, under control, and making me feel like I have the time to get everything I need done. Motion also thinks you're a robot that will constantly keep doing work. All you need to do is build in some breaks in your schedule where the program won't add tasks, otherwise it makes you feel like you have to nonstop work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how seamlessly Motion connects with my different calendars and accounts. The fact that i can create a meeting from within motion, which then creates a zoom link for me and sends it to my contacts, and then moves my tasks around this newly created meeting is fantastic Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think that with all the additions to the app, it is now in a place where it is so fully featured that it might be overwhleming for a new user. Having gotten in on the "ground floor" of the app development when it was pretty basic, i have been able to keep up with the updates to it and it is not as overwhelming for me at the moment, but i feel like new users might not have the same experience.
