Our accounting folks like it and the inventory guys are happy... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Field structure for customer data is ridiculous. One field for name or company, a second field for company or name; data entry is random and haphazard. Duplicate accounts occur because no one can find the account after it's been put in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to easily collaborate with coworkers via chat communication Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Does not integrate easily with apple mac products Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Strong Financials; Easy to find Accounting staff with product knowledge; very large and mature 3rd party echo system and partner channel; Lots of exporting to Excel. Modular functions allow customization (and you WILL customize GP!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expect to customize and buy third party products for some basic functions (e.g. check printing needs Mekorma MICR); Administrative overhead from the IT team for regular DBMS maintenance; No SaaS licensing; legacy client-server interface (new version is web enabled which is helpful); database is SQL but no relationships and not normalized so difficult to get very advanced; Many ways to report; cannot do everything from one reporting tool. Skip their Field Service tool and go with a Third Party. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft NAV is not an out-of-the-box product made to fit a every type of business. You need to have a direction and strategy of what you need in an ERP, and Microsoft NAV can deliver it. It can be tailored to meet your specific business needs for accounting, reporting, order management, and thru the implementation of ISV - retail, pos, and ecommerce. The ERP package we utilized prior to our switch was an "out-of-the-box" software package, and we fit our business into the box. In order for our company to grow we found value in an ERP that could be leverage to grow with us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GP integrates nicely with Office applications and has a user interface familiar to Office users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quite a few screens. Use of screens is not always obvious or easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a great general ledger and good reporting capabilities. It is easy to pull information for specific GL accounts to prepare reconciliations. It is also easy to pull data for various queries. We implemented the revenue recognition module and it worked very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fixed asset module did not seem as easy to use, so we kept our fixed assets on FAS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Powerful tool that has a lot of features, but in my somewhat limited experience I've had a very difficult time managing and setting up integrations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
