I like most about SAP ECC is its reliability in handling end-to-end procurement activities. In my current role as Global Buyer – Indirect Procurement at Ingenia Polymers & Chemicals, I use SAP ECC daily for creating and tracking purchase requisitions (PR), converting them into purchase orders (PO), and monitoring goods receipt (GRN).
I regularly use transactions like ME51N (PR creation), ME21N (PO creation), and ME23N (PO tracking). It gives clear visibility of order status, pending approvals, and vendor details in one place. Integration with finance also helps in tracking invoice status and payments, which makes coordination easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike about SAP ECC is that the interface is not very user-friendly, especially for new users. It takes time to learn different transaction codes and navigation. Also, generating customized reports is not very easy and often requires support from the technical team. Sometimes the system becomes slow when handling large data, which affects productivity.
