What I like best is the ease of switching from one account to the next. I also like the fact that you can filter many different categories in order to narrow your search down to exactly what you are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about the soft ware is the fact that there is no filter for specific account types. Such as all gyms in the area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use and integration with Microsoft products (e.g. Excel). For Higher-Education customers, this product is often bundled with the educational discounts. This product is well-integrated with the Microsoft Suite of products. It is also well-integrated into back-office platforms and applications, and is quite customizable. Legacy look-and-feel to some of the functionality. In general though, the product is very well designed, and is easily integrated into back-office platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Running reports was easy and the system wasn't difficult to learn Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lots of glitches, repetitive processes, was difficult to skim out the spam leads, allowed for duplicate accounts and contacts to be created, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The CRM is easy enough to use and picking up the functionality seems natural. The data seems laid out in a format that's easy enough to read and interpret, and information location is quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While this could be an internal set up issue, the system seems incredibly sluggish and buggy. Random functionality seems to stop working at times for no reason, and the system is always slow to process each command or request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- data is housed in MS SQL Server that can be used to customize SSRS reports
- macros capability Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- reports templates customization is very manual and tedious, hard to see fonts and manual adjustment of template elements is painful
- smart lists could produce better reports Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is a rock solid, enterprise level ERP system that has been a great fit for our medium sized company (450 million gross revenue, 4300 employees). We selected GP in 2005 and went live shortly after in 2nd quarter 2006. Like any ERP, there will be a learning curve - especially if you're coming from an ancient legacy system like we were. And like in any product selection, be sure to spend plenty of time in the development of your implementation plan. What I like best about GP is hard to single out - so I'll pick 3 things. First, I like how intuitive it can be to use. Accounting screens (GL, AP, AR, etc) are straight forward, feature rich, and easy to use. Second, I have also been very happy with their support. Third, there are literally hundreds of 3rd party "add-on" products to further enhance GP beyond the core functionality. In my experience, any ERP system that suggests it is the single turnkey solution for an organization isn't being honest (there are a few exceptions for this - some ERPs are specifically targeted at certain markets - like retail, restaurants, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like any product, there are downsides. However, many of the things I don't like are features / functions they never promised were there in the first place. For example, there is no way to deal with intercompany AR (without purchasing a 3rd party module) - a feature so critical to any multi-company organization that I'm really surprised it was never developed. Although their human tech support is fantastic, their CustomerSource database is very difficult to search / navigate. And I find their GP2013 web portal to be horribly complicated and incredibly confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Basically supports some CRM type features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unreliable, down time, lack of browser support, inability to export/import from common formats without third party tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Resource Descriptions, ability to capture SQL trace of user actions, some cool company wide tasks like reconciliation of account balances, the concept of a company, bulk load tools like integration manager, webservices/econnect. Context sensitive help. SSRS based reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The upgrade tool (MS Dynamics gp 2010 series) could use some more intuitive UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dynamics GP is a powerful accounting package based on the popular Microsoft SQL Server platform. You are granted full access to the tables behind GP allowing for almost limitless possibilities for integration and custom reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a big leap from other smaller accounting suites like QuickBooks to GP. The modular based accounting platform is difficult for some people to wrap their heads around which creates a larger learning curve before staff are comfortable with the software. It works best in companies with an accounting department with staff trained in accounting principles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use and strong internal control compared to other software we were using Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I dislike about Microsoft Dynamics GP is Series Post. It might be I just don't understand it though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
