Sql setup in the back end that allows for integration with SSRS reporting. Also has a decent audit trail. Further integrating with quick-tags software can show support for transactions instantly. JE's are pretty straightforward. Would like to be able to easily remove certain functionality that are not used like inventory etc. Also Management reported is a nice add-on also. It is the add ons that really give the software alot of power and additional capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not as user friendly as some of the smaller off the shelf software's. Also customization is not as straight forward and required quite a bit of assistance from outside consultants. There is a requirement for quite a few add-ons if you really want to be able to fully experience the power of the software. Intercompany accounting very poor in the software and you have to keep setting up different companies and different gl instead of a single interface where different entities can be set up. Also their web help portal is not the best. Note that the price point is not that cheap either so not really feasible for small NPO's or mom and pop shops.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can take a while to customize as there are so many features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
love the flexibility of Dynamics SL and being able to customize it if necessary. Working with SIS has been great, and their team is very knowledgeable about SL and writing code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the depth of features means that it is time-consuming to implement and learn. It is not super user friendly or intuitive and does take some training and a little time to get into. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- I found that Dynamics GP had a lot of online training materials regarding the product.
- Very simple user creation.
- Uses SQL Server which is very easy to query.
- Customization using the Dexterity library.
- Report writer is a very robust tool, it makes it very easy to build and customize reports.
- Newer versions of Dynamics GP uses SSRS to deploy and send reports, this makes it very easy for management to keep track of daily statistics.
- I like how they did away with FRx for the drill down reports, it was a good move by Microsoft to integrate the drill down reports directly into Dynamics GP.
- The amount of information on customer / partner source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- There are way too many 3rd party applications that integrate with Dynamics GP. They really could corner the market if they would bring all of these apps in house. Some of these applications are home based and run / developed and supported by a single person. (example: e=mc2)
- The same interface and admin options since the beginning, they really need to make a customization admin window to customize what the users see. Allow them to set the colors of Dynamics GP.
- Update the dexterity library to include entity framework libraries.
- The error messages can be very convoluted, they should be easily read by the end users.
- The customersource network should come with chat/remote support. The current ticketing system takes too long to get things together.
- Lack of integration with Active Directory, Dynamics GP uses SQL Server authenticated accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's nice that it is easily available via web, I suppose. I don't have a great love of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The entire system, much like Sharepoint and other MS behemoths, it's a horrible mistake to think you can just dive in and start using the product. It takes a design and implementation team to get you up and running effectively; otherwise, you quickly find that it doesnt do what you expect and overall data integrity is miserable. I liked being able to tab over, and have all of the data I entered displayed clearly in front of me. It helped that the tabs all made sense, as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It took a while to get through everything my first few times using it since it is very in depth, and has many menus and options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Finding a good Microsoft Dynamics NAV Partner is a difficult job; there are several partners and zeroing down upon the best one is very confusing at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The windows within the UI are easy to customize. It has good reporting features already built in. the sql profiler makes it possible to trace what sql tables are being used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
