Using the product with Microsoft Forecaster. I like that the program extracts real-time data from the General Ledger. The real time data extraction allows for highly accurate forecasts that helps our Accounting and Bookstore teams keep all of their finances in order. I also enjoy the Web-based interface, and that the program is very intuitive (if you're familiar with Excel, you'll be able to Microsoft Forecaster paired with GreatPlains. The reporting piece of Mircrosoft GP leaves a lot to be desired. We have many end users who have trouble understanding and executing many of the reporting functionalities. It also takes a little while to get used to. Although I'm comfortable with the interface at this point, it was a little confusing adjusting initially. The interface looks a bit dated and can be hard to navigate with minimal training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dynamics GP is the way that accounting, financials and inventory management should be. It's not the most pretty thing to look at- but it gets the job done and gets it done well. It has tons and tons of options for everything under the sun. The best part is that it can be customized with lots of front end apps that tie into the back end database. This gives it a bunch of flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Could look a bit more "pretty", but don't have anything negative to say at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft has gone above and beyond with Dynamics GP. We are currently on release 2013 and came from version 8.0. I have setup Dynamics GP from scratch in different version and I can tell you that MS has improved GP for the better in each version over time. They are listening to the customer instead of just doing what they think is best for various industries. Customer opinions matter when it comes to this product and you can see this in the newest version, GP 2015. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Too many 3rd party apps to do what you want. I believe GP should include more functionality supported directly from Microsoft. I understand why they don't have certain products and MS can't support everything out there, but they should pull the top 3 or so products that customers use as a whole and consider making them part of the core product on a 3 year basis.
Also, Microsoft products should work with MS products! I've seen a few 'workarounds' to get GP and other various MS products to "talk" together when they should already be doing this. There also has been no MS GP 64 bit version at this point and 64 bit technology / software has been out for some time now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
