One standout aspect for me is the affordability of sending a check to a vendor for just $1.50. This cost-effective solution has not only helped reduce transaction expenses but also contributed to overall savings for my business.Additionally, Melio's user-friendly interface makes it easy for vendors to register directly with them. This has been a game-changer in simplifying the process of sending ACH payments. The seamless registration process enhances efficiency, and it's reassuring to know that Melio is committed to providing a hassle-free experience for both businesses and vendors. I regret to share my deeply unsatisfactory experience with Melio, a payment service that has fallen short of expectations in several key areas. It is crucial for potential users to be aware of these issues to make informed decisions.
One major drawback revolves around Melio's offering of two free checks a month. Despite this seemingly attractive feature, a significant problem arises when checks are scheduled in advance. Melio imposes charges after the first two scheduled checks, regardless of whether the user exceeds the monthly limit. This billing approach lacks transparency and caught me off guard, resulting in unexpected fees for scheduled payments.
Moreover, the recurring technical issues I encountered are alarming. In December, a payment was scheduled but failed to go through due to a "technical issue." While Melio assured me that the problem was resolved, the same issue recurred in January. When I reached out seeking clarification and resolution, the response was less than satisfactory. Melio acknowledged the problem but only offered to issue the payment at that moment, with no consideration for the late fees I would incur from the vendor. This lack of proactive communication and problem-solving on their part is concerning.
Equally disheartening is the customer service experience. Instead of taking responsibility for the recurring technical issues, Melio consistently attributes every problem to a generic "technical issue" and claims that the matter has been resolved, even when it clearly persists. This evasive approach leaves customers without clear answers or resolutions, eroding trust in the platform's reliability.
In conclusion, based on my unfortunate experiences, I strongly caution against using Melio for sending checks. The undisclosed charges for scheduled payments, persistent technical issues, and unsatisfactory customer service make Melio an unreliable option for businesses relying on timely and secure payments. If possible, I recommend exploring alternative services, particularly those focused on ACH transactions, to avoid the pitfalls I encountered with Melio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

it integrates with quickbooks well and its easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Melio is good until you run into an issue and then its hard to get it fixed. The time from payment to funding the vendor's account seem to take a lot longer than 3 days now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So easy to get started and love that there are multiple options to pay as well as the integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to dislike about Melio at this point in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that you can do an ACH transfer for free and your clients can choose that as well so they don't have to take that expense from you either. I use Melio every single month to pay my contractors, and I use it to invoice my clients. It is quick to get started using it as well, and easy for clients to pay invoices and tea members to set up direct deposit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't integrate with my CRM (Dubsado) so I have to manually insert the payment link for my clients, so it takes away my automation capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Melio's greatest strength is its user-friendly interface and free basic plan, making it an accessible option for small businesses new to online payment platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Melio's limitations lie in its limited features beyond the free plan, lack of robust reporting tools, and occasional processing delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a user and reseller of Melio. The ease of use and integrations have always been of interest. The flexibility of ACH, debit, and credit payments also make the solution appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did not experience anything negative from using Melio. I would need to research if it can handle larger companies looking to outsource AP & AR functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Melio lets you send payments to vendors who may not otherwise accept credit cards. It always works and is very easy to set up. I use it every month or two and have had a great experience with customer support as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not sure if this could be lowered but the fee is 2.9%. It is a standard fee. I can't think of anything else I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
