Matter helped us to show employee appreciation, not just through the love shown by others, but also with financial inventives. Usage for our company has been at around 65% weekly, and the feedback from the team has been exceptional. We used to just use a simple Jotform and call them "Zaps" but there was no upside to using it, and it was extremely time consuming to have to read them manually to everyone monthly. All in all it was a good investment, especially since our team is on the road most of the time, they're able to communicate and share appreciation in a public forum, allowing everyone to get to know each other a bit better while also being rewarded. It's a bit pricey, but still market average. It didn't integrate with Google chat, which is our primary resource for office communications so we had to add Slack primarily for Matter, but that's it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful part of Matter is that it encourages positive feedback from peers. Sometimes when we think about employee engagement we think in terms of top-down, that it should be coming from managers, but I think peer feedback is just as (if not more) meaningful. I love that the coins add up towards real gift cards that employees can use however they wish. I love that the integration with Slack is seemless! Approving gift card requests is so easy! sometimes you may forget about somebody or completely omit somebody due to not going above and beyond, this can affect negatively those underperforming.

One of Matter's standout features is its intuitive and clean interface. Whether you’re tech-savvy or not, navigating the app feels effortless. In the last four years we have doubled our number of full time staff and have been recently struggling with communication and visibility between departments, despite our staff working closely together. Matter has put kudos in the hands of individual staff, giving them each the power to make a difference in our culture. This has also increased visibility of the great things our part-time staff do. Matter often kicks off Monday messages on national holidays. It would be nice if I could click a box to default these messages to the next day. I find we get much less engagement when these messages are posted on work holidays; many of us still work these, but many are away and staff are cognisant of when they post and who gets a notification. 1. To be seen and recognize, in a workplace it is important that someone has seen your effort. Matter make it easier for everybody to higlight everyone.

2. To give credit to other, as same to ourselve others want also to be credited so Matter gives another freehand so other give pat of there success.

3. To be feel a winner as always, Matter make me feels like a champion it motivates me to excel further.

It is very user friendly and I tend to make my own custom Kudos which I enjoy.

The implementation was ALMOST the easiest thing in the world, honestly if it would work with G chat it would be, but we have a MDM on all of our devices, so I was able to send slack, setup a channel for our company, and implement Matter all within a few days. The recoginition, the kudos that our team gets to use, and they can't be stacked so everyone gets a set amount weekly, makes it super easy. It's been great for our fully remote company- its easy to use and fun to make custom kudos. I like that it gets people interacting kind of "off topic" while at work.
