**What do you like best about Matter?**

I like being able to shout out the other people around me in the work place. I love receiving Kudos as well it gives you a little boost in your day.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Honestly, I wish the payout was a little better than $0.10 per coin. That's only $2 per week I can give to my coworkers. I also wish it was easier to add my own titles for the kudos I give rather than the ones that are already there.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it is solving some recognition for employees that otherwise wouldn't get much recognition. Which is a great benefit to me because I would be one of those employees that wouldn't get much recognition otherwise.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I love being able to recognize fellow co-workers on a job well done. Matter offers many different options to be recognized and prizes that can satisfy any person.  It's very easy to use and access. Most people hardly have any trouble with it. It's something we encourage all employees to use frequently and on a regular basis. We used a different recognition program previously and but this one made is to use with the Core Values.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

It would be nice to be able to give coins on the website and delete from the Teams/Matter app

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think people work so hard and they deserve to able to recognized for their hard work, and Matter solves.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I love how Matter makes team engagement feel both fun and meaningful. The platform is super interactive and easy to use, and posting updates with GIFs and memes adds a fun twist. Beyond the fun, it’s also genuinely insightful—I get a clear view of what my teammates are accomplishing and celebrating. It’s a great mix of motivation, connection, and recognition.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

The reasons for shouting out become repetitive after a couple of weeks. Engagement isn't as high as when we first launched this. It'd be fun to see new formats and new shout out mechanisms on a weekly basis so we can switch up how we shout out and how we receive recognition.

Employee morale.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Our team uses Matter in our Teams channel to shout out other team members for their wins and contributions during the week. It's a fun way for us to connect when our team is spread across the state. It's so simple to implement, takes a few minutes to complete, and has a good impact on our team morale.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

It can be challenging and hard to understand how to redeem rewards. Some team members don't even understand that Matter points translate to rewards.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting team members with large proximity barriers is a big challenge. Matter allows us to stay connected, acknowledge team members in a unique way, and increase team visibility.

I've used the slack integration for Matter for a few years and it's a great way to build positivity. I know I love giving kudos to colleagues when we're working on stressful projects to help build morale and it's a nice boost to my sense of accomplishment to receive them.

It would be nice to have more prompts. I've also noticed that matter notifications through slack are kind of inconsistent

Matter helps keep team morale up by curating a positive work space, even in the digital landscape. In fact it's even more important because we're all remote workers so we can't boost morale in the typical in person ways.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter has been a total game-changer for our team culture. The feedback and kudos features are by far my favorites—super intuitive and encourage consistent peer recognition without it feeling forced. We evaluated a few options, but Matter stood out for its clean UI, Slack integration, and ease of rollout. Our team adopted it quickly, and the boost in morale was immediate.

Shoutout to the support team too—super responsive and genuinely helpful every time we’ve reached out. If you're looking for a lightweight but powerful tool to enhance your team’s communication and appreciation culture, Matter is it.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Honestly, not much to dislike—it’s been a solid addition to our workflow. If I had to nitpick, I’d say more customization around feedback templates or analytics dashboards would be helpful as our team scales. But overall, those are nice-to-haves, not dealbreakers.

What I love most about using Matter is how easy — and fun — it is to recognize and celebrate my coworkers. The ability to send kudos and coins creates such a positive vibe across the team, and it encourages us to lift each other up for the big wins and the little things that often go unnoticed.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

can sometimes feel a little repetitive or gamified in a way that takes away from genuine recognition. I also wish there were more customization options for the kudos templates and a bit more flexibility in how feedback is shared.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helping solve the challenge of recognizing and appreciating team contributions in a consistent and visible way—especially in remote or hybrid work environments. It creates a space where teammates can easily share gratitude, celebrate wins, and boost morale, no matter where they're located.

For me personally, it’s helped foster stronger connections across departments, made me feel more seen for the work I do, and encouraged a more positive and supportive team culture.

I really like the visuals and the Slack integration! I also love the reminders with emojis, GIFs, and all those fun touches

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

I do think there’s room for improvement—some features feel a bit hard to access. For example, re-sending requests for people to update their work anniversaries or birthdays isn't very intuitive; I often have to go back and search for it. It would be great if editing and accessing key features were more straightforward.

It could also be nice to go beyond just congratulating people on the day—maybe adding a visible calendar to browse upcoming milestones more easily, or making the app more proactive with things like welcome video messages, simple workflows, and tighter front-end/back-end integration to make the user experience smoother overall

I really love how easy it is to send birthday and anniversary messages without having to keep track myself — the automation makes it super convenient

**What do you like best about Matter?**

It is quite rare to get positive affirmation in the workplace from colleagues, especially on a regular basis. Not any more! Colleagues can easily send you Kudos (and coins if your so lucky!), highlighting the benefit that you bring to the business, or just as a thank you for being you. This helps boost productivity and adds value to workplace relationships.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Coins can often run out before you get the opportunity to thank everyone. We only have 80 coins a week, which I think can be increased by the company, although these seem to run out pretty quickly. There could also be a greater level of places to cash in your coins, offering you wider choice, although there is already a good selection on there.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Matter just helps bring the team together and show other members of the team how much individuals actually do. It's always nice to be recognised and rewarded for work, especially when a lot of this usually goes unseen!

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter has been an incredible addition to our workflow. My favorite feature is the ability to send quick feedback and public recognition — it truly helps reinforce company culture and celebrate both small and big wins across the team.

We chose Matter because it’s intuitive, lightweight, and integrates seamlessly with Slack, which made adoption super easy for everyone. We tried other tools, but none fit as naturally into our daily routine.

Also, the support team is incredibly responsive and helpful, always open to feedback and quick to assist when needed.

Highly recommend it to any company looking to strengthen their culture and make internal communication more human and engaging.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter have kudos templates that really helps make it easy when sending a note saying thanks. It's quick and seems more personal. My favorite part is the Feedback Friday that we use each week for the whole company. It is awesome to connect with people from other teams and be recognized for my work. I love sending kudos to others too!

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

I was expecting that it was going to be more difficult than it was honestly, No complaints yet.

Positive reinforcement during the day and encouragement for improvement with Feedback Friday tool. It's fun to see how much feedback I get each week and to have the chance to brighten someone else's day too! Biggest problem was communication and moral I think.

When giving feedback, there's no built-in emoji option. I have to copy emojis from another site and paste them into my message.

Matter helps build a positive feedback culture. I’ve never used a tool that combines recognition with rewards. Giving feedback and earning coins is a great motivator.

I enjoy the ease of rating and adding points to team members. It's fairly customizable and easy to use.

I would recommend from an UX standpoint to make points required. Several of our team members have to go in and add points.

We were using written cards for our remote and in-person employees for employee nominations this week. This helped everyone see the cards and ease of submitting them online.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I love the Gif's that I get to send to the team while we are working. It's a  quick and easy way to keep moral while we are working through tough projects. The motivation we give each other really keeps momentum going through the day. It has really helped make work more enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

We have only been using Matter for a short time now. I really only have good things to say about how much the app is helping me!

The biggest problem that we had was how we connected in the office during day-to-day operations. There was definitely a disconnect that has now been filled with a really positive way to communicate with each other. This has been a great recognition tool that really helps with the motivation for us all.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Best communication platform I've used. Matter has kudos templates that make things easy for you to send recognition easily without disrupting our work. It's fun to give and receive kudos daily- really brakes up the mundane day to day tasks that we have. Motivation and performance has improved with the rewards and Feedback Friday.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing to dislike to be honest. We've been using it for a couple of months now and it has been a great addition.

Connecting us in a way that we couldn't do just through our team chats. The recognition that we have now is company wide rather than just through our teams. It feels more like we are part of a whole, rather than just a piece of the puzzle.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter helped us to show employee appreciation, not just through the love shown by others, but also with financial inventives. Usage for our company has been at around 65% weekly, and the feedback from the team has been exceptional. We used to just use a simple Jotform and call them "Zaps" but there was no upside to using it, and it was extremely time consuming to have to read them manually to everyone monthly. All in all it was a good investment, especially since our team is on the road most of the time, they're able to communicate and share appreciation in a public forum, allowing everyone to get to know each other a bit better while also being rewarded.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

It's a bit pricey, but still market average. It didn't integrate with Google chat, which is our primary resource for office communications so we had to add Slack primarily for Matter, but that's it.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the lack of communication and usage of our previous appreciation workflow that was rarely used. It helped with employee recognition, as managers use it to give shout outs when KPI's are hit, and when stellar service or goals are provided and reached.

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Feedback Friday has quickly become one of my favorite things to look forward to now. They way we are able to communicate with each other as a whole has made a huge difference in moral within the company. Sending and receiving rewards and kudos has motivated us all! Super easy and great support when I need it too.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

While we have just recently begun using Matter, I have not found anything that we dislike yet. The positivity that has come from acknowledging each other has been incredible so far.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication and motivation during work has always been a little stagnant. Matter has opened the door to better communication and fun with kudos and rewards! The improvement in staff happiness and motivation has definitely made a difference in the workplace.

Recognition and communication with teams has become streamlined. We finally have a way to connect, share, and give recognition/rewards that is working! Love the kudos cards that I can send. It's easy, considerate, and the designs are pretty.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Just started using Matter within the last couple of months, so I really don't have anything negative to share at this time. I've only seen great improvement in moral so far.

Meaningful connection and support with teams was really missing before Matter. This is the first time while working within a large company that I feel connected to the company as a whole. Motivation, camaraderie, and inspiration has really improved among staff. Matter has made employee recognition super easy and a huge benefit.

I really like how feedback is given in real time—it helps keep our guys motivated and want to work harder for a great end result. The platform is also super easy to use, so our guys are able to be recognized and rewarded as simple as sending a quick text message link to a customer for feedback

The notifications are helpful, but when we are real busy, they can feel a little overwhelming if you already have numerous emails to follow up on

Matter has really changed the way we recognize our guys. The automatic reminders for birthdays and work anniversaries make it easy to make sure no one gets overlooked and the guys look forward to it. It saves time and helps create an environment where people feel appreciated—which goes a long way in keeping morale and engagement high
