The algorithms didn't work for what we were trying to achieve. We are a very niche market with relatively low search volume and a high CPC. But we can afford to pay a decent amount per conversion if they are quality leads. Wordsteam doesn't take into account your specific objectives and instead tries to shave money off of CPCs and conversions. The end result for us was less conversions- yes, at a less expensive rate, but the the rate we were paying before Wordstream was fine. Bottom line is Wordstream is probably great if your goal is to lower your CPC and make your account more efficient. Probably not right for you if you can afford to pay more for conversions on low-volume, high-cost keywords and want to get every last conversion possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
