I like that we can have all our trainings in one place. Litmos is very user friendly on both the front and back end of the software. They also have a training software to help you learn all you need to know. Ryan has been great in helping our organization get things set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I wish could change isn't the software itself, but the DOJO - the training videos. I would like it to be more tailored to the permissions you have. I don't have the highest permissions so when they are talking about a feature, I may not have access to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite part about Litmos is the Content Author. I can easily create courses for my company and upload them. I can also use the templates for assessments and learning materials to create content quickly. Litmos allows us to provide our customers with training material while also allowing them to create their own content so they can have one centralized location for all training materials. We have member firms all over the world, and the Litmos structure allows us to give each member firm its own LMS within our overall structure. Each firm can manage its own training and development and still have the benefits of all the Litmos content. In this way Litmos meets our unique business needs.
Another plus is the Litmos support system, either though the help desk portal or my CSM who is very responsive.

Litmos allows employees to develop/ learn both independently and in instructor led training. We can track when an employee is due for recerts, has completed internal training, and even keep track of external training. In most cases it's the ease of use. Litmos provides a streamlined process for creating course content and for colleagues to register for courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Litmos has some limitations such as similar classes. Participants need to unregister to re-register for the same class for a different date. Example: Trivia: trivia changes class to class howeve litmos does not recognize this.
Reporting is a challenge to create structured reports for our specific needs. Also the Chart Tree view allows you to find topics at a high level such as a position or department title but does not allow to find individuals. More effort and time required to do this.
The IT/Help desk in some instances can take some time to resolve issues. I still have a case open that has been for close to a month if not more. Relying on another internal department of Litmos to look into the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Over the years, we’ve encountered minor issues – as is expected with any SaaS platform – but the support team is always quick to respond. They have created clear channels for feedback, feature requests and reporting any issues. They are quick to respond and always looking to improve their services. Their eagerness to resolve problems and implement user feedback is a highlight.
Our dedicated contact points ensure consistent communication and a personalised approach, making it easy to collaborate. Their strong customer focus, transparency, and excellent communication build confidence and trust, ensuring our needs are always prioritised.
Rolling out courses and managing users is straightforward. The ability to segment users into groups and assign specific learning paths ensures I can get people access to what they need when they need it.
Just the right amount of flexibility when it comes to customisation for the platform. Allowing us to put our company flavour to the platform, and through branding, this can vary between users too. Although the authoring tool is up to par and better than many other LMS platforms, it couldn't provide the look and feel we were after. Using a seperate authoring tool and deploying via SCORM is straightforward.
There were some steps back while under SAP such as support materials disappearing overnight, and SAP seemed to restrict growth and transparency. In the 2 years since Litmos moved out from under the constraints of SAP (2022), their services have noticeably improved. Updates seem more frequent, and the platform feels more agile and responsive to customer feedback. It’s clear they’ve regained the freedom to innovate and focus on their users. Admin on Demmand is an amazing service. Ryan has been super helpful assisting building out our platform and solve difficult issues. He has also helped me become a better admin. This has increased the use of the platform by our employees and associates. AI is going to be a very useful tool too. Very excited about what is to come in terms of content creation with AI. - Course transitions are not the best between versions. We have to 1)learn the course has been updated, 2)deactivate old course, 3)add new course, 4)unassign the old course. It is very confusing for users and added burden to admins.
- Lack of available languages for compliance training and other courses
- Very limited access levels for admins
- No integrated CC and/or translator of content
- Reports through the reporting engine often have missing data
- No "welcome demo" for new users within the platform.

Uploading content into Litmos is simple and straightforward which allows us to provide our employees with online learning content. Implementation was extremely easy. Reporting can be tricky to navigate and doesn't always provide the results you are looking for, however once you have created a report you can use the criteria repeatedly for other needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My company has been a Litmos customer for many years and we use it to manage our training and compliance programs. We integrate our HRIS system with our single sign-on service and we seamlessly assign Litmos training when employees onboard on day 1. Their content library has been a huge time saver so that we don't have to actively manage course content. And if we develop our own in-house trainings, which we a few instances, the Content Authoring Tool it allows our Admins to publish content within a few clicks. It’s simple! The overall user experience and features need refinement. Fix website navigation issues, having to reapply search filters. Require less steps to perform bulk actions. I really love the Teams feature, how easy it is to create a new offering and add a new group of people to specific content or webinars. I also like how quick the customer support team is at getting back with answers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice to have more options with the autoresponse email communications. Also, it would be nice to add a way to deliver certificates based on requirements met or conditions met by learner (if x was completed, then the certificate is available to learner). I think right now, you can offer a certificate only if the person completed the modules, but there's not a way to five further conditions such as, if all four quizzes were passed.
